We are cruising on 8/28 too!!! I am sooo happy I FINALLY found this post!! My husband, 10 year-old daughter and I are also from Middlesex County!! This will be our first cruise. We will also be travelling with another family - our friends from Monmouth County. They are a family of four - two daughters aged 10 and 6.

That is so cool!!! My DD has done the club before and she is good with meeting others but I think it would be nice for them to meet as soon as we get on. We live in Monroe and the others going live in Toms River. Are you doing the parks too?

We're actually neighbors - we live in Spotswood!!! No, we decided not to do the parks. We're actually trying something different. We are going to spend 4 nights at Club Med Sandpiper first and then do the cruise.

It's been a while since anyone posted in this thread, so I thought I would bump it up. Let's start talking about having a DIS meet on the ship! It would be great for us (very few it seems) to get together and say hi! Anybody have suggestions about a time and place? Since this is our first cruise, I can't really make any suggestions, but it would be great to arrange something. Anyone else up for this?

Boat drill is at 4pm, everything is closed until 4:30pm so I think we should meet at about 5pm deck 10 midship starboard side. I looked at other post from other sailing dates and this is what afew are doing. I do think we should all have something the same. Like a colored ribbon on something so we can id us. I also wanted to know if anyone has gotten anything for pirats night. Because I was going to get stuff online but it comes in bulk so I thought we could split it if anyone wants to.
Please let me know about everything.

I made a ressie for Palo for brunch, and I registered my son for the Lab. Since it's our first cruise too, I really don't know where we should meet, but I'm going to start looking at other cruise meet threads to get some ideas.

That sounds like a good idea. We could meet for the sailaway party. Some lime green ribbons or mickey heads from Home Depot would be a good way to go.

What website were you looking at for the pirate stuff? Oriental Trading? Let me know what you're thinking of, and I'll check out the site too.

We thought the new online booking option was neat.......we have both kids set up, and made Palo brunch reservations, plus we won't have to run around when we first get on board. The time's drawing near!

So someone let me know if 3pm is better and if this is what everyone wants. I am also going to order pirate stuff from Oriental Trading. I plan on ordering swords that come with an eye patch, pirate bandanas , tatoos and clip on earrings. .

I would take buy one set from you for my DS. I don't think my husband and I would dress up though.
