I had to do a quick presentation at a conference at Disney World, so my wife and I decided I should bring our 8 year old daughter with me. We've been there as a family the past couple years, so we thought she would enjoy a quick return (my wife thought 4 days would be to quick and passed).

We left on Wednesday, April 26th on US Air. I was able to get us bumped up to First Class on our flights for both the trip down and back - so that was a great added bonus!

We arrived in Orlando about 4:00pm. I had made a reservation with Alamo and did the on-line checkin - which worked great. Since we were going for just 4 days, we just used our carry-on luggage and didn't check anything in - so we just walked to the Alamo area - picked out a car (a nice bright yellow one that was easy to find in parking lots) - and we were on our way!

We went right to the Grand Floridian to have dinner at 1900 Park Faire - our first time there. We walked into the hotel about 5:10 - went upstairs to get a new autograph book (can't use the one from last year - out of the question for my daughter!) and a charachter pen. We didn't have reservations, so we put our name down and walked around the hotel for a while.

We got seated about 6:00. What a great restaurant! My daughter ate more at this buffet than any we've been to before! She got first time autographs from Cinderella, Prince Charming, The Fairy Godmother, and 2 mice - Susie and Perla.

After the dinner we hopped on the monorail and took a loop around - a lot of fun. After that we headed out.

We were staying for 2 nights at the Coronado Springs - a first for us - but couldn't get a reservation there that night. The trip had come up late, and suprisingly all the resorts were booked! We stayed offsite and passed out quick. Tomorrow is the MK and Extra Magic Hour in the morning - so we need to get up early!
