Please excuse the näive question -- I've been away from this board for a long time.

Is the Freeport itinerary being discontinued? Both on the Disney site and Travelocity, no Freeport cruises are listed for 2004.

Since the Wonder can make it back to port from Castaway Cay in a single evening, what happens on the "day at sea" if you don't go to Freeport? Does it just park somewhere in the ocean, or does it just limp back at 1/3 speed?

The contract with Freeport hasn't yet been extended into 2004. It could be at any time - or it might not be! The last 4nt I went on we did a big snake dance back to Port Canaveral. I wouldn't have known except I was having brunch in Palo (it was on the Magic in 2001) and we could see and feel what was going on!

I cant help on the freeport issue, but would like to know if they are extending. However, on our 4 day this Aug. we had a day at see and for a good portion of the day we were anchored off the coast of Freeport according to a crew member. My DH and I were not clear, I said we were moving he said we were not and we asked and he was wright...ok there is a first for everything;)

We stayed on the ship during our stop at Freeport - many enjoyed it and with a mixed review, you just never know what DCL will do. I did miss that day at sea though - just lovely to stand on the top deck and look around!

We just went on the 9/28 cruise. On the 4th day, we would look over the side and laugh. At times it seemed as if we were going as fast as a snail.

There was land visible in the distance. I do believe that it was Freeport.

What we loved is they had a matinee performance of Golden Mickeys in addition to the regularly scheduled shows. That gave us the opportunity to see this spectacular show twice that day.

With my fast paced life, Regina - I like the slow paced calmness! Made me appreciate all my blessings and the challenges I've faced in my life - gave me time to thank God for everything in my life and remember who was actually in charge of my life!!!

Always time to stop and smell the salt water!

Do they still offer Palo Brunch on the 4 nt with a day at sea? We love the brunch!!!

Thanks!

If you go to the All Seasons Travel website(www.allseastravel.com) they have the 2004 Wonder cruise dates designated as either Freeport or a day at sea. I don't know if they got this info from Disney or just tried to figure it out on the calendar.
