Looking to cruise in Nov. Wondering what the weather is like? Do you reccommend the 4 or 7 day? What makes the 7 day so great? How is Jersey week to cruise? Thanks
rapunzal,
We were on the 4 day cruise NJ week of 2001. Had a hurricane in the area, which made things a bit hard. Ended up going to Charleston, SC instead of Freeport and Nassau. Did have a beautiful day at CC, and the damage from the hurricane was minimal there. The 7 day cruise had enough time to go to a warmer alternative port. With all that, the kids still preferred DCL to any other vacations we have had in the past. We are going on the 7 day Eastern this year for NJ week, got a great deal with AAA during "Disney month" (January), which included a $100 on board credit.
Concerning NJ week to cruise, (this year it starts in October) I don't think it is much different, the ship is usually pretty full, so the same number of guests are on board, never seemed to busy. Nothing like the parks can get. On how the 7 day is better, if there is a storm, they have more time to travel to an alternative port for better conditions. Also of course the extra 3 nights. If my husband does better with seasickness this trip we may book another 7 day for NJ week 2005.

We did the Nov. 24-27 cruise on the Wonder this past year and had great weathersun all day every day and temps in the low to mid 80s. I think the next couple of cruises had some problems with wind and high seas, however, so it can be hit or miss.
