I booked a trip in June because every few months I get that Disney itch. Our last visit was September, so I am more than ready! DH won't be able to make the trip and I will be traveling with my 4 yr old DD, 10 1/2 month old DS, and 75 year old father. I booked a studio at BWV because it is big enough for us. Since then I've learned that my 16 yr old niece will be out of school and it might be nice to have the extra help with the two little ones. DD has already announced all of her fav rides she wants to go on which is seeming more and more difficult with the baby and my dad. Why did I decide to go without DH?! I thought about rebooking with one bedroom, but we are going for a week in November in a one bedroom and again next February, so I'd really like to save the points. A studio sleeps 4, but will Disney let you do 5 if one is an infant? We stayed at BW on the hotel side when my niece was little with 5 of us, but like I said, she's now 16. Thanks!

Well, it's within the rules, since there's a pack n play for baby. Sleeping arrangements? You have 1 queen bed and 1 double size pull out. I would go with a 1 bedroom, but that's me. I don't like more than 2 in a studio, but at times, I do have 3!

My family stayed four deep plus a 1 year old baby for a week last Easter at Port Orleans French Quarter. We had 3 adults a five year of and an almost two year old. I will say that we never felt tight. We were at the parks or pool for 12 to 16 hours a day so we only used the room for getting ready or sleeping. With a little creativity you'll be fine. We would use the pack n play for storage when the baby was not in it and one of us would take an afternoon nap with the baby while the rest were at the pool. My MIL was exhausted and maybe we were too but that had nothing to do with the room size. Our next trip will be in a studio at BLT with just the four of us and I am not worried at all about the size of the room. You make due with what you have. We are not there to sit in a room we go to enjoy the parks, the pools and dining experiences.

A 1 bedroom isn't much better for sleeping arrangements, it's a king bed and a queen sofabed. Who is sleeping with your father? I would consider 2 studios.

Maybe a 1 bedroom at Kidani would be better due to the sleeper chair and extra bathroom. Plus it is a pretty good points bargain, i think. There is no way I would consider a studio for 4+ an infant. There is no where to put all your stuff, for one thing. the room will be so full with bodies, you will be tripping all over each other. I would give your father the king bed, you and the oldest the sofa bed, niece the sleeper chair and baby in the pack and play.

Being squeezed into a studio isn't what would worry me; being a bit cramped is a small price to pay for a fun vacation. It's the sleeping arrangements that would concern me. Are you sure your dad would feel comfortable sharing a room (and bed) with all those females?

Thanks everyone! The sleeping arrangements aren't an issue because my dad can't sleep in a bed anyway. He has his own chair we travel with that he sleeps in. DD will sleep on couch. It's funny because she fights us if we pull it out into a bed, but will crawl right up on the couch and lay down. She says she's sleeping with Papa because he will put his chair next to the sofa. She did that when we were at AKV in a 1 bedroom this past September. My niece will sleep with me and baby in either the pack n play or a travel bassinet we have. I know the 1 bedroom has more room and we usually stay in that size. I probably would have booked that, but at the time it was just my dad, the kids, and me. I'm almost afraid to change it and have my niece not go with us for whatever reason. Sometimes her mom changes her mind at the last minute. Ahhh, family...

He's used to being around all of us girls. Before my mom passed away, he was outnumbered by the two of us. Now, he's with us all of the time. He's used to it. I just was curious if Disney would allow it.

I think this comes down to knowing the people you are traveling with.

My family would do this and never think twice about it. We travel, we visit, we sleep on the floor, giving up the beds to the elders in the group.

My In-Laws on the other hand would never even consider the idea. The conversation would end before the question was finished.

I don't think either one is right or wrong, just raised with different expectations.

It sounds like you have considered the options and as long as your Dad is comfortable with this....

I don't know how there would be room for a large sleeping chair and a pack n play and all those people. I would get 2 studios or at least a 1 bedroom, you would have no room to move in there.
