Can 4 adults sleep comfortably in a Cat 6 room? Is the couch and bunk bed just for kids?

We had four adults in a Cat 5 last year and it was very tight. An adult can sleep on the couch, but remember the bunk has a weight limit of 230 I think. And if anyone is afraid of heights they won't like the bunk. I'm not afraid of heights, but I wouldn't even sleep up there.

This sounded like the beginning of a funny story or joke. :flower:

We were three in a room and had a blast.

We had three women in a Cat. 7. We had just enough room for our clothes and things. One thing to consider is drawer and closet space. Just thought I'd bring that up. When our group had four in it, we got two staterooms that year. I was glad....felt like I could 'stretch' out a little more.

The bunk and couch become a normal sized twin bed, so yes, they are comfortable for and adult. As above, there is a weight limit on the bunk of something slightly over 200 pounds (I don't remember the exact weight, but it is definitely over 200, less than 250), and the adult would have to be willing to climb up there.

The room/drawer space is limited in all the cabins. There are a few tricks that help. First, after the safety drill you take the lifejackets out of the closet and place them under the bed. This gives you an additional large shelf in the closet. Many suitcases will slide under the bed also, but some are too tall. A shoe holder on the bathroom door provides a place to stash many "essentials"...think camera, sunscreen, etc. (not just bathroom needs). Your room steward will provide as many extra hangers (wire variety) as you need. Most of us take way more than we need for the cruise. Shoes are a real bugger--I use black sandles for dress shoes (as well as for casual.) Wear my sneakers, and take a pair of beach/pool shoes. Sometimes I add white sandles. Just eliminating the dress pair saves space/weight.

As to that large shelf in the closet--you can use it for a couple of suitcases not unpacked which holds more than putting loose things there. Also, I leave my "beach stuff" in a suitcase under the bed--that way, it doesn't clutter up the room. I also have a fold up suitcase (actually folds to about 6X 9 X 1/2 ) that I use for stuffing in dirty laundry. This also slides easily under the bed (sometimes hard to get my teen to remember where it is, but.....)

It could get pretty tight if you ask me especially on a 7 night cruise.

:flower: I'm going to hop on this one too. We are booking a 4 day Wonder cruise for 4 adults next September. We were going to book a cat 10 stateroom. We'll only be there to sleep, won't spend anytime in the stateroom other than that. Or do you think we should book 2 cat 11's instead? The price of booking 2 cat 11's is an extra $190.00.

:confused3

Not sure what to do but I need to decide as we're booking in 2 weeks.

Book the 2 Category 11's, especially if the difference is only $190. Are you sure about the price? 4 adults in a Category 10 will be a very tight squezze.

We had 3 in a cat5 and my DS (21 and 6'2" 215lb) use the couch bed with no problem.
I think 4 adults might be cramped. We had just enough storage space for all of us for the 7 day cruise and that was bringing 2 changes of clothing for everyday plus beach towels. We stored all 5 collapsing duffle bag type suitcases under the bed. Brought a pop up laundry basket for the closet and shoe holder for the door and extra hangers! My DS brought his laptop and we had a small 4drink soft sided cooler that our room steward put ice in for us everyday. Perfect space for us! Definately needed the split bathroom with 3 also. Don't think we could do a cat 12 or 11 because of that.
