10B - 1A solo $1807 after 10% OBD ($1724.63 plus $82.64 in taxes)

no trans or ins on either

That comes to $516.81 per night for 2 people, typical DCL per day cost, but I'd rather do a week of cruising in/around Hawaii and cut the cost.
9 days at sea is relaxing but the total trip will add up. Still need to buy roundtrip airfare, shore excursions, trinkets, ship photos, etc.!
People may like the idea of staying at the new Aulani Disney resort on Oahu and cruising for 7 nights with another cruise line (sorry!).

Pretty safe to say we're not taking this cruise!!

has everyone actually put a deposit down? I noticed you can do a 5 day hold...without $$...how does that work as far as people booking and wanting to pay the deposit now...if everyone did the hold would it show sold out until day 5?

If this is the case, then that sucks! I say that because we were ready to book the Hawaii cruise this morning and it was already booked. So what, those who can't decide to pay get to hold a spot while those of us who can don't get one? I personally don't find that fair. But, oh well, it's Disney's rules. I'll keep my eyes peeled this time next year for updates on how great it was. :0) 15 days on a Disney ship would be a dream!!! :0)

Why not try to book in 5 days then? Or 4, given some booked yesterday and will let their bookings go?

You have a point. It was just the excitement of having the whole family wanting to book right now and then being told no, it was sold out. Only to find out people could hold a spot without paying. It was just a disappointment. But, there is always another Disney Cruise to go on :0)

Being able to put a hold on a cabin is a normal practice for cruise lines. It is usually 3-5 days. Just watch for the next few days...Cabins will open and your family can book. It's not really a matter of deciding to pay but getting everything together. People don't know the prices until the cabin is held. Most people who don't want the cabin usually cancel within a day or so. The deposits are due the 12th & 13th...especially watch then.

Sept 16, Pacific Coast Cruise, 2A 5B $3,363.44 ( before Insurance)

We got 2 adults in a cat 11b for $3800 - I wish I had transferred an obb that I had but I was scared that the Hawaii was going to be so much more and I would lose out on the great deal I have for Dec 1st, Disney Dream. Now I have to try and swing both

I am happy with $3800 - for Hawaii now the year wait is going to be the hard part.

FRIENDS OF OURS GOT PRICED $5500 FOR A 10A AND THEY AREN'T GOING TO TAKE IT - SO THAT SHOULD BECOME AVAILABLE TOMORROW!!!
