Hi - we booked this too with an OBC transfer. I was also sticker shocked, but after having 3 different DIS lines on hold from 7:59 am - 8:32 am I felt the need to go for it.

WOW!! so disney claims they are doing the NY sailings to help out in these economic times and allow more ppl to experiance the disney crusing way?? they must be out of thier minds with this pricing...its WAY cheaper to fly down to florida and do a 5 or 7 night than do these cruises. I know its always more expensive on disney and i understand that, but COME ON! you can go on a 7 day carnival out of a NYC port for about $650 a person in an inside room.....does disney really think they are worth $1000 a person for a 5 day?? insanity if you ask me! I'll be flying down to florida for all my disney cruises even tho i live 15 min from Manhattan.

I am with you...in total shock. Maybe I am cheap or poor...probably both. I am sticking with my Eastern Caribbean even though we live 45 min from LA.

What is an OBB discount?

When you're on a Disney cruise and book a future cruise. Disney will give you a rebooking discount of 10% + On Board Credit (OBC) for that future cruise & that amount is based on the length of the cruise you're booking.
