4:55 a.m. tomorrow morning..UPDATE pg.5

Wow. As I read what you wrote, tears just started falling. You see, I've always loved my husband's hands. They are my favorite part too. I can't imagine losing him. I doubt I'd want to go on. I can't imagine what this past year has been like for you, but you sound like a very brave woman. Obviously others think so too. Bless you and hugs to you as well.

 You're in my thoughts and prayers. Take Care!

 This anniversary of your darling husband's death will be a milestone for you to get through. Your daughter's analysis of the "Hands on" dream seems particularly perceptive. I'll be praying for you.

(((HUGE HUGS)))

Ever since the first time I read one of your posts on these boards I thought you were one amazing woman and I think you are even more so now. I do not have a clue how you must feel today.

My grandmother did not tolerate that medicine well at all, so you are not the only one. It makes her more agitated than anything.

More  C.Ann, do what you have to do to make it through this. And know that there are a lot of Disers' who are thinking of you.

C.Ann
I just saw your post. You are never far from my prayers and thoughts. I haven't been on line much lately but be assured the prayers and hugs are always there. You're quite a women.
It's only been just over 1 month since Mom passed away and I can't imagine the feelings I have ever changes. Meltdowns come at the strangest times. With our friends and our memories we can get through the days and keep moving forward.

Thanks for all the hugs and replies.. My DD rearranged her work schedule so she could spend the day with me yesterday and we looked through some photos, shared some memories, and only got choked up a time or two.. My son-in-law knows I like Kentucky Fried Chicken every once in a blue moon, so he stopped and got dinner for all of us on his way home from work..

What really brought tears to my eyes though was when my granddaughter came in from school and handed me a note. It read:

Dear Grandma,

I am sorry Grandpa died. It made me actually cry in school today. I'm sad too. Sorry once again.

Love, your little (insert pet name) :sad1:

Can you imagine a 7 year-old being thoughtful and sensitive enough to write me a note like that during recess?

Thank God for my family - I'd be lost without them.. And thank God for my friends here - all that posted and all that sent PM's.. The DIS really has been a life saver for me during all of my ups and downs..

I'm feeling better today and once again trying to move forward with new plans..

Thanks all! :flower:

I've been reading this thread the last few days, C. Ann. I had forgotten that your dear husband passed away on the same day that my husband was killed in a car accident 12 years ago. I remember that first anniversary as being very difficult. Thank goodness you have your family with you. I have been thinking of you a lot lately. Bless you.

Melanie

That was awfully sweet, what your family did to help you get thru the day, C.Ann. :goodvibes:

Oooh C. Ann, i'm just now seeing your post! (not sure how i missed it?) I do remember last year and i can only imagine dearheart.... you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs to you always!

I'm just now finding this too. to you. It sounds like you have an amazing family, and you all are definately doing something right, your granddaughter is awesome too! ::yes::

Your DGD sounds like an angel! What a sweet note.

Hugs to you and your family. My Dad died two years ago today, January 18, 2004. Today was a quiet day for me. No one in my family called me, it felt weird, but I guess everyone has their own way of dealing with it. I had a mass said for both my Mom & Dad at our local church and I left messages on my sisters's answering machines.
