I was reading somewhere this is the minimum amount for an Escape wedding. Is that correct? We not planning on having any guests, dessert party etc. Just a ceremony, pictures, cake etc. On top of the $4,500 I would need to pay for hair, makeup, pastor etc-right? Plus I really want Mickey and Minnie there-$$$

From what I have been reading the other Disney sites would be Dolphin/Swan and Fulton's Crabhouse?

Thanks for your help.

The Escape weddings are the smallest and least expensive way to have an on property Disney wedding. YOu can have a Swan/Dolphin wedding, and I believe there's a sticky about those weddings. I don't know about a fulton's wedding but I do know someone on here is doing a reception there, maybe they'll pop in.

So an Escape wedding for 2010 is $4750, Mickey and Minnie are close to $1400, Makeup and hair runs about $125 and the price for pastors I'm not sure of.

You could also do a disney cruise, or a shades of green wedding- I am not as familiar with the cost and details, but those are two other disney options at a lower cost.

HTH's!

Thank you both for replying. I was thinking around $700 for Mickey and Minnie-glad to get the real price. Plus a photo session in the MK at $800...

I will look into Shades of Green too.

One character would run $800 and two characters are $1200.

I've read in a couple of PJs that the pastors cost around $250...or at least the couple of names I've seen used a bunch. I'm using my grandfather, so I haven't checked that out.

The MK photo session is $1000, but you can add a 2nd park for only $300 (which makes the price per park seem better)

Let's not forget the cost of steaming the wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses if your traveling, not to mention the grooms suit & best mans.

Thanks for the post that continue to give me an idea of cost. I guess I really should plan for around $10,000.

We just bought a new house so we have the $8,000 tax credit coming but I should do a new roof.............

My friends say do the wedding but the practical thing to do is the roof.

I appreciate any additional costs you may think of. Thnks

Amyy,

We are doing the Escape wedding (we have more than just the two of us, but we tried to have it be just the 2 of us!) in January 2010. If you go in December, it's only $4500 for the wedding itself. As long as you pick everything they offer as standard, you should be fine.

We aren't getting the characters at ours, but we did decide that a MK/DHS photo shoot was worth it for $1300. It's our one little splurge.

Our officiant is going to be $200, and I found a complete wedding outfit (summer dress with hairpiece, shoes, and jewelry) for $64. I won't have to get it steamed at all. The hairpiece I found is one that requires very little in the way of getting my hair done, so I can do hair and makeup myself. That saved us a lot of time and money right there!

A new roof is important, but getting married at Disney (even fairly cheaply) is awesome. I still don't think I've fully realized it yet! Good luck!

Talked to my mom tonight and she has agreed to give us $10,000 which needs to include her room, our room and our flights from Maine. Now that my mom will go we will have some guests. (If she wasn't going I didn't feel right having a "big" wedding.) I wonder if we could do it all for around $13,000?

I appreciate people responding. I could probably figure it out if I went through a lot of posts but my head is kind of spinning. I have always dreamed of a Disney wedding and to think it might really happen is .........
