4/30/09 Wonder Cruise Anyone?

Scaptami: Yes, I am in Seminole County. I have a vague idea of where Plant City is located. My dh will only buy strawberries if they are from Plant City. :goodvibes

I also wanted to tell you that since we discussed scrapbooking I have downloaded some really great stuff for my digital scrapbooking. I just have to decide what size album I want to do. 12x12 always seems too big for me.

Thanks for sharing your gift basket ideas. I need to figure out what I want to get for Easter baskets first, and then I can think of Cruise buckets. We are also taking a long road trip the week after our cruise and I always like to get some little new thing for them to play with in the car. I know I am going to run out of ideas and money!

Fitnessmouse & Boo323Glad to hear you are on deck one with me. So now we know who is in 3 of the rooms on that deck (out of the 42 rooms) - any one else???

S.S.Oceanlover: Sorry to hear you didn't get the cat. 9 upgrade. It sounds like if you have 4 people sailing you have a better chance of getting upgraded to cat. 9. Will calling help at all?

papaof5boys Wow that is a long drive! You better get started soon . ;) Are you visiting places along the way or just driving for the cruise?

Does anyone know when we will get some mail from the Cruise Line? I feel like it should be soon.

Does everyone have passports or is anyone just using the birth cert./driver's license?

ETA: By the way, summer has officially hit here in Florida. The humidity yesterday and today has been pretty yucky!

yes we are going to WDW for one day before, and if the DS's run out of DVD's in the car I may to stop at a nut house. I love my boys but the DW and I are realy looking foward to Srenity Bay at cc.
And for all of you lucky people who got UPGRADED I'm so jealous. But happy for you as well

Fitnessmouse: We have some very close friends in Helmond, Netherlands. Is that anywhere near you? Their children, who are 6 and 3 do not speak English either. It is amazing how well their kids still are able to communicate with mine. You would think that there was no language barrier at all. I hope that makes you feel better about your concern for your kids being in the clubs. Also, this is an assumption based on your user name.......Are you, or anyon else, planning on running the 5k at CC?

@ Kadiebug: Helmond is about 80 min from where I live. I am sure the kids will be alright, they do watch a lot of DVD's in the english language.
I wasn't planning on running the 5k, I guess I could, I am not really a runner though, I teach group X fitness.

Now I am waiting for the paperwork for the hotel (Pop Century) and Disneytickets, hoping they will arrive soon. I booked this through the UK as they had a better deal (even better than the 4/3 deal Disney USA had).

Oh, I'm sorry, were you serious? LOL No, I will NOT be running the 5K at CC unless it involves running to the food buffet.;)

:rotfl:Maybe if they let me have one those big turkey legs while running I'd be into it. How about dessert stations from Palo along the way?

so excited that we could book for 4/30 wonder ::yes:: We are celebrating my birthday and our anniversary:cloud9: This will be the ultimate way to celebrate with our girls. 12 &15

3 WEEKS PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once I get done with Easter my focus will be just on the cruise. I have to admit that on Sunday I watched the ship leave from the port via the Port Canaveral web cam. It was exciting!

There's not that many cabins on deck one. It sounds like everybody on this board is going to be on decks one and two. Now we know where the party will be.:cool1:

I'm on deck 6 in a cat 11 but I would gladly go to deck 1 or 2 if I could get a cat 9 or 10. :thumbsup2

Bill

:yay::yay::yay:

hey everyone, i'll be on this cruise as well! me, husband, daughter-9, and son-8 have been anticipating this for 4 months now! it will be our first cruise. i've been driving myself crazy with excitement for this trip. my kids are super excited as well. i cannot WAIT to see their faces when they get on this ship and see the bahamas for the first time! i've been shopping for the last 3mos. for this cruise. hope to meet some new friends!

We leave two weeks from today:goodvibes I'm not shure I can wait. I see there are still cabins avel. for the cruise.

nah, think i'll pass on that offer!
well, now my DS has come down with pneumonia, poor guy... he just got over the flu 3 1/2 weeks ago, now this :sad2:. at least he should have enough time to get over it before our cruise. plenty of rest, fluids, and antibiotics for him.

Your poor DS. That sounds terrible!

Call me paranoid but the week of our cruise we are not going to church or having playdates! My kids often wake up sick on Tuesday after being in children's ministry on Sunday. I am taking NO chances!!!! My littliest one has been sick this week also and I'm ok with it - better now than later!

DS is feeling better!:yay: antibiotics worked their magic, still coughing, but back to running around like a maniac today. had to keep reminding him to settle down!
so we're a Cat 6 on deck 6. am i right in assuming that we should have the door magnets? :confused3 is this how you guys know who the DIS'ers on board are? this is our first cruise ever, so that is just what i've gathered from reading on here and i'm not sure how you all meet on board. my DS8 and DD9 are already asking if they will make friends on the ship, and i think it would be awesome to meet new friends as well!:grouphug:
p.s. i'm about to lose my mind i'm so excited. how will i ever make these next 2 weeks??!!
