4/3 extension in the system!

Well, after days of trying to snag a $1 room and DH saying we weren't going to Disney this year unless I won that room, I just booked Pop!!! I called and told him about the 4/3 deal being extended and he caved!! We have only taken the boys one time, last summer. And they had SOO much fun! I knew he'd give in if I could get this offer. Plus, with these savings he can still go to the beach for a couple days and go fishing!!

Here's what we got:

7 nights at Pop
7 day tix w/park hopper
Basic (CS) dining
travel insurance
Total 2275.44

2 adults-2 children

Figure all we really need to add in is gas to get there. A meal or two on the way there and way back and souvenir money! We did the regular dining plan last year and I loved it but kind of want to be a little more free this time and not worry about running to ADR's.

I'm so happy!!!!

We made a HUGE modification to our ressie!!!:woohoo: :yay:  :scared1:

We were staying at the POP for 7 nights July 18th to July 25th and the 7 day MYW Tickets was 1469.40.

What do you do when life hands you a discount :confused3 You spend more money of course.:lmao:

We upgraded for a Legend...wait for it... dairy trip.:woohoo: :yay:

We now have a ressie at the GRAND FLORIDIAN RESORT AND SPA!!!:scared1:  :cool1:

The difference is $826.66 over what we would have spent at POP.

I am so excited I can't stand it!!!:scared1:  :cool1: :dance3:

BTW- Has anyone inquired about adding the no expiration to this package? On mousesavers it says:

"The package includes standard Magic Your Way Base Tickets. You can upgrade them with the Park Hopper and/or Water Parks & More option(s), but you'll pay the regular price for those upgrades. However, MouseSavers.com reader Lorraine has discovered that when booking this package, if you add the No Expiration option to a 7 day ticket, you are only charged the No Expiration cost for a 4 day ticket. What this means is that you can add the No Expiration option to your 7-day ticket at less than half the normal price ($53.25 per ticket instead of $117.15). If you wish, you can also add the Water Parks option at regular price ($53.25 per ticket) and then you'll have 7 water park admissions that don't expire!"

Has anyone actually done this?

So many emotion so little time:
:woohoo: :yay: :scared1: :cool1: :cheer2: :dance3: :cloud9: :upsidedow

I just got a quote from my TA, but she accidentally quoted the wrong resort so we have to wait and hear back from her again.

Our dates are 8/10-8/20. It sounds like we can book the 4/3 just until the 8/15, but I was hoping that we could do 4/3 for the first 7 nights and a AAA room rate for the last 3 nights.

I switched from:

8 nights June 27 - July 5
Beach Club
2 adults, 2 disney "adults"
7 day base tickets
no dining
insurance
$3208.90

to

7 nights July 21 - 28
Beach Club
2 adults, 2 disney adults
7 day base tickets
no dining
insurance
$2578.84

Airfare will be cheaper since no 4th of july holiday. Plus no holiday surcharge at Disney restaurants.

Maggie

So excited just found out I get a $100 gift card for staying at SSR, wasn't there when I booked this morning. On hold with WDW to make sure it's on my ressie!

??? You got both??? I didn't think you could do that?:confused3
Christine

I made 2 seperate ressies,1 using the 4/3 8th-16th and the other for free dining 16th-20th.The guy thought it was a great idea, said I saved lots of money. He noted on the ressies it was a continuous ressie,so we might be able to stay in the same room then.

Somehow for me, free dining would still be cheaper. I thought the 4/3 deal was better? I have a family of 6, but one is an infant. 2 adults, 11 yr old, 8 and 6 yr. old. Maybe it's because the 11 yr. old is considered an adult.

We are a family of 6 and there is NO better deal for us than free dining. We always get two connecting rooms at a value for either 8 or 9 nights. We were lucky enough to get the free dining for our trip last December and it saved us about $1,600.00. The 4/3 deal would only save us a little over $700.00. I'm definitley holding out until April to see what is going to be released.

If you only have one or two kids and are staying at a Deluxe resort, the 4/3 may be a better deal, but if you are a larger family and stay value or moderate, then free dining most likely going to be a better deal.

Yay!! We're in on the special too! Seven glorious nights at the Polynesian!! :goodvibes I got up bright and early and made the call at 7:00 a.m. (6:00 a.m. my time! Only for Disney would I get up this early just to make a phone call lol) But when I asked the CM if the 4/3 had been extended to my dates in July, she said, not at this time, but you could go ahead and book and if a discount becomes available, yadda yadda yadda... Disappointed, I was getting ready to hang up when she suddenly says to hang on, it is coming in to her system now and yes, it is available! Needless to say, I did the happy dance and booked!! :woohoo:

Got mine just then! I was already booked for POFQ and called to see if I could get the discount while not changing anything as flight is booked on points. Yippee it's done! ~$700 saved. I'm so estactic!!:cool1:

Thank you for posting this!

I just booked our July 2-11 trip using the 4/3 deal! Now we get to stay at Wilderness Lodge! So psyched!

It is still pricey, 2 adults, 2 kids for 9 days plus park hopper plus dining for $4279. But at least we saved something!

:dance3: :woohoo: :cool1: :yay:

I was so worried all weekend that the 4th would be blocked out. But it wasn't!

First thing this AM, went from old reservations:

Pop Century
3 Rooms, 11 Guests
7/4-7/10
7 Day Park Hoppers
Dining Plan and Magical Fireworks Voyage
$7615

To new reservations:

Coronado Springs Resort
3 Rooms, 11 Guests
7/4-7/11
8 Day Park Hoppers
Dining Plan and Magical Fireworks Voyage
$7955

Yes, I realize that that is actually $340 more expensive! It's the extra dining plan day that puts it over. But $340 buys me an upgrade for three rooms, an extra day and night, and another TS credit to plan!!

So I repeat...
:dance3: :woohoo: :cool1: :yay:
