I have the 4/3 deal booked for Jan. 20-27.

4 adults, 1 junior
7 day hopper passes
Poly GV CL
$4146.96 per Disney Travel Co.

Would the Disney Visa code be a better deal?

Rack rate for Poly GV CL is $505 plus $50 a night for extra adults
Could get park hopper passes from UT at a slight discount

Not too sure how this figures exactly.

Any help would be appreciated.

The 40 % off promotion is only good at certain resorts:

http://disneyrewards.disney.go.com

We are booked at the Boardwalk which is not included in the promotion. Yes, we could save a little by switching to another resort but I am willing to spend a little more to stay where we want. It's the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Fort Wilderness Lodge. More details at the link above.
Hope this helps.

I was able to apply the visa disc to myl Poly GV room for Jan 2-5. I have heard other resorts are available if you ask. You can also call and ask for a quote, they will do the figuring for you. If you happen to get an unhelpful cm just hang up and call back. Good luck!!:goodvibes

Actually, the prices given are for the WL and the AKL. Typically all deluxe resorts are included subject to availability. We booked AKL CL for $210 per night, even though only a standard room price is listed.

Have you called to confirm that the BW is not included? Usually all resorts in the category are included, subject to rooms being available for that discount code. It's possible this offer is more limited, but usually they only list the prices for AKL and WL since they are lower, but you can get the discount anywhere there is availability.

Under your current package, you are paying for 5 nights and getting three free (since you are booked for 8) - 505 x 5 = $2525, plus tax, plus the extra $50 per night (is that only charged for five nights, or do you pay it for 8?). That's either $400 extra or $250 extra depending whether you have to pay the extra adult fee for each night or just the paid nights.

The 40% off code gives you 8 nights at (505)(60%) = 303 per night for a total of $2424, plus tax plus the extra $50 per night ($400 extra for the extra adults).

The 4/3 deal works out to a 43% discount if you stay exactly 7 nights. Depending how the extra adult fee is charged (per night or per paid night), the 40% off code might be a little cheaper, especially since you can get tickets from UT. You are only paying for a 4-night ticket under the 4/3 deal, so you might not see that much cost savings from UT.

We leave on Jan. 27, so only staying for 7 nights. So, if the 4/3 deal saves 43% versus 40% on the Visa Rewards code, I guess the 4/3 is a better deal.

Thanks for all the replies. I may call Disney to check. I just wanted to have an idea before I made the call.

I also think with Visa you would get the 40% off rack rate and then pay the $50 extra adult fee. I don't know how 4/3 deal works but I bet your only paying the extra adult fee for the 4 nights but not sure.

:wizard:Hope you have the most perfect weather for your trip!!!!:wizard:

I'll be at AKL CL 1/20 to 1/27. I called and was able to switch from 4/3 to AP pin code. I'm paying $10 more per night but now I don't have to purchase park tickets for DD and me at about $450 as we have APs. She'll be 7 on the 21st.

Oops - I counted your days wrong. It shouldn't be much difference either way, but you might be slightly better off with 4/3.

4 nights at $505=$2020 (plus tax and extra adults), so you do better with 4/3 than with 40% off.

8 nights in Jan and the 40% was better than the 4/3 for our FW Cabin stay. (3 Adults, 7 day park hopper with no dining)
I am able to buy tickets on military base so I really didn't need a package so I will be saving just over $100. Also, the cancellation policy is better on room only vs. package and I don't have to pay balance until arrival. So for my situation I am saving. Disney math...oi!!

I called to check, and for WL for 7 nights with QSDP and 8 day park hoppers it came out to right at $200 more for the 40% off code vs the 4/3.. Now if only I could go.. :sad2:
