castlegazer We're thinking of going down to Norfolk for the weekend when the Magic will be drydocked there.....wanna tag along????

So, other than the new movie screen at the pool, what else are they doing? I do also know about the gym area being reduced/changed and no longer being able to see into the bridge (boohoo! that was so fun to be on the treadmill and look out like I was Captain of the World!!).

21 Days until Vegas Baby!!

51 Days till the Beach Club!!!

197 Days until a week at Vero Beach!!!!

226 Days Until we leave for the Mickey Boat!!!!

Sorry we have been so absent, it has been crazy, both at home and at work. We did not win the soccer tournament, but we did have a great game in ChiTown, stayed on the mile on night and hit the American Girl store (yes ladies I know, what a man) :love2: , actually it wasn't that bad, plus they took me to the Tommy Bahama store after so I was happy. Just made another payment on the cruise, one more it is done, and the Disney credit card is smoking so we should have about 1200 in shipboard credits when we board. That won't suck :drinking1 !!! Today is the Queen and myselfs (I know it was her day but I was there) 14 year anniversary, it is the best thing that I ever done  Happy Anniversary wife.

Well gotta roll, so we will check in soon.

Tom pirate:

Hey Tom

Sorry to hear you didn't win , we were rooting for you . my husband use to play for Plattsburg State and he was the MVP . He still make the Plattsburg newspaper for his accomplishments in Soccer , guess they have nothing else to write about up there , it's been many many many years :rotfl:

Hope you win some big bucks in Vegas , we have never been there but I would love to go . We are going to Montreal to their casino in 3 weeks , we did well last time playing the Wheel of Fortune slots , I hit for $1000.00 . :Pinkbounc

I just called the cruise line to see about upgrading to a Verandeh but it would be $1400.00 more , I figured I would perfer to put it towards our next Disney cruise hopefully the 11 day Southern 2007 .

I am beside myself on how people can be so rude . Our neighbor is putting up a new house and the contractors have been driving over most of our entire property , I just called to them and asked if they could please not do that and right after that another drove over it again . we wouldn't mind if someone just asked .It hasn't rained :umbrella: here in quite along time so the ground is pretty solid .

Happy Anniversary , get her drunk and have a good time :rotfl2:

Tom and Julie,

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! :thewave: I hope your going some place nice for dinner!

I am going to Chicago tomorrow - no shopping though - all work. My daughter has been dying to go to the American Girl store, did the girls love it?
My daughter Jessica has already started a Christmas list and another AG doll is at the top of the list. Looks like Santa is going to have to dig deep this year.

Has everyone seen the news that we won't need passports? At least we can save a little there! :cheer2:

I am still thinking about getting the passports because it makes things so much easier.

PhillyJen - here I come! I am on my way Saturday morning. I am thinking about going to the Franklin Institute to see the Body World exhibit. I had just seen a piece on the news about that and was grossed out but thoroughly intrigued at the same time. If I get a chance I think I do want to see it. But most likely, I will be just sitting tight and getting lots of rest. It will be my first trip away from my daughter and my first trip alone in a very long time. It will be heaven to just sleep and watch movies.

Good morning everyone .

Boy I guess this wasn't my week at all . I came home yesterday and found that my dog passed away while I was at work . she was a beautiful white Samoyed named Simmi . I cried :sad1: most of yesterday but this morning I am feeling better it's still very hard thou . Wow I am suprised how hard I took it , it feels like part of my family is gone . We are now thinking about possibally adopting a Samoyed from the Samoyed Ruscue Foundation . There is one named McCloud who is 7 and they say he hasn't been outside in years . We have 3 acreas and he would probally love to scamper around here . My girls don't really understand what happened to Simmi which is a good thing , we did tell them Simmi is in Heaven now .

I really want to get out of the house today so we are going to trek into the city and go to Gymboree for some fall clothes . They have the cutest new fall line !

Why do we not need any passports now ? We already went and did ours and hopefully they will come soon .

Hope everyone is having a better week then us :)

:guilty: I am so, so sorry. I had to take the day off when my cat died. I was a terrible wreck from it. They are a part of our lives for so long.

I really feel for you and your family! We lost two dogs in a 5mo. timespan ( one samoyed and one golden) so I know what you are going through! Our children didn't really understand what it was all about, but they too know our dogs are in heaven now.
The worst part for me was coming home and not having them greet us!
We do have a new puppy now (LAB) not a replacement, but a new family member, and he is wonderful!

:paw: :sad1:
Ohsodisney, I was very sad to read about your dog...the loss of a pet is never easy. The weird thing about it is that my 15 year old nephew came home from school on Tuesday afternoon and walked in on his dead dog...my sister said that the dog was acting a little strange when she left for work (breathing really heavy, which she had been doing off and on for the last couple of weeks), but she had no idea that she was that sick (she had just been at the vet in the middle of August). Luckily my nephew was smart enough to keep my neices (7 & 9) out of the house when they got off of the bus...unfortunately my brother-in-law was out of town on business and couldn't be there to say goodbye to the dog or comfort his family. :( My sister is very sad feels horrible for all of the complaining that she did about the dog hair all over her house for the past ten years!

On a happier note, there are only 224 MORE DAYS until the cruise!!! :boat:

The anniversary was nice :lovestruc I can't believe that we've been married for 14 years and we've known each other for nearly 20!!!!

We've got big plans this weekend...you guessed it SOCCER Lindsey is in a tournament so she has two games on Saturday and one on Sunday, and Sarah has one on Saturday...luckily there are no scheduling conflicts this weekend like we had last week! It is also our local high school homecoming tonight, so we'll head downtown to watch the parade and then go to the game :cheer2: ...and tomorrow night we have a big pig roast to go to  ! Sounds like we're a bunch of rednecks, but really we're not!!! :rotfl2:

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words and thoughts . It feels like I am never going to get over this  . I think I have cried all the tears I can today . I can't eat anything , yesterday or today and I just want to sit and do nothing . We buried her under a clump of trees which may have not been the best idea since I can always see it .Mckenna said to me " Mommy please don't cry today because I will cry to and go to my room , I don't want to hear that Mommy "

inthemood , isn't the Samoyed the most wonderful dog , I love how they she always looked like she was smiling . Ours was so great with our girls . I know we will get another one but I think DH doesn't want one right now thou . It will definelty be another Sammy . Like you said not a replacement just a new best friend . It is really hard here to find Samoyed breeders , they are few and far between , we may have to travel a few hours to find a new puppy .

Well enough from me , thanks so letting me vent !

Hey everyone!!

My DH and I just returned from our very first DCL cruise on the Magic. We loved it so much that we booked this cruise. I'm so excited. It's the only thing that kept me from crying this AM when leaving the Magic. We have room no. 5630. We wanted deck 6 portside but the lady onboard said that all the cat. 6s on deck 6 are taken. Actually she said that 5630 was the only room she had in the cat. 6. I can't wait!!!

Wendy

Hi Wendy

Welcome aboard

When was your Disney cruise ? Was it magical ? Do You have any children ? Which itenerary do you go on ?Lots of questions huh ?
Right now it looks like DH , DD'S and myself are the only ones on the lower decks , all I can think of is the Titantic and that we would be the ones floating on a headboard :rotfl:
I am doing much better today , they say time heals all and it seems to be holding true . We made 2 headstones with cement and colored riverrocks , it looks so pretty .DH said no to a new puppy for now , however what he dosen't know won't hurt him , I have called around and found a breeder 2 hours from us , she may have puppies in February :)
We are having a football game party today , lots of snack food , spinach dip , pizza dip and buttermilk chicken tenders ,and whatever our friends bring . I haven't ate much over the past few days so I am looking forward to piggin out !!! I am number 3 on the Football board and DH is 4 so hopefully we will do well .
Have a great day

Well, we're back from The World. Very hot but lots of fun! I learned a very important lesson thjis trip though, NEVER stay anywhere but ON Disney property! We ended up cutting our stay at the Dolphin 1 day early because of the issues we had (ants in our original room - even in the beds! - and then they turned the elctricity off for 7 hours in the new room we were in - and they knew the power would be out!!!). The nice clerks at the Yacht Club were very helpful and we ended up our stay there for one night. All in all, a good time was had but once again, good to be home!

Dinner, shower, bed, that order tonight. Chat later!

Sorry, juyst got a minute to catch up and read posts.

ohsodisney I'm so sorry to hear about your dog! I know exactly what it's like to lose a beloved family pet. We had to put our 14 year old dog down last year (9/3/04). He'd been my baby for 14 years but was fading wuickly. Think he had cancer but was blind with cataracts, deaf and would barely eat anymore. It's a bit different than coming home to finding them gone, but it still hurts the same. Big hugs to you! :grouphug:

daisy112878 Welcome to the board and our cruise! Can't wait to get to know you more.

Belle&RellasMom Happy Anniversary! I forgot to congratulate you before! 14 years, huh? I really feel old now! We'll be celebrating 15 years in November. How'd the soccer go this weekend? Good news for us?

All right, eyes are closing on their own. Going to check on the laundry and going up to my comfy bed. Nite all!

OH! Forgot to tell you guys! Bought a really cute pair of Mickey ears at POTC gift area. They are a blue pirate hat with the jolly roger on it, white feather plume and black plush Mickey ears on them. I'll have to try and post a pic but they are actually like a headband type of ears. Really cute and Tori loved to wear them around!!! Haven't seen these before but will be great for Pirate Night on the ship! WOOHOO!!

Ohsodisney - we were on the Western this past week - sept. 10- 17. This is my first day back at work and it's not good. I miss the ship and not getting up. The only thing getting me through is thinking about april. We have no human kids but as you can see in my signature we have two furbabies. They are the only reason I wanted to come home saturday. The last week was so very magical. We had an awesome time. Our servers were awesome and our stateroom hostess was awesome. You definitly never want for anything. I use splenda in my tea and coffee. After asking for it the first night our assistant server made sure it was on the table each night. We had Mochaccinos every night in the Cove Cafe. It was a drink with a little coffee, mocha flavoring, and lots of vanilla ice cream. It was so yummy. My Dh ate and ate and ate some more. He had two apps, two entrees, and two desserts each night. He's kindof lost now at home.

Oh and everyone must try to go to Palo. It's definitly worth it. We did dinner one night and brunch one AM. Both were very good and alot of food. Also just a thing about dress code and Palo: most men had on nice pants and a long sleeve shirt but some had on nice polos and were not turned away. For brunch you see it all. One lady had on a swim suit with a see through skirt and strapless shirt (most people had on resort casual - no shorts but capris, skirts, nice pants). So don't think you can't go there b/c of dress code. I know people on my previous cruise were not going to palo b/c they thought they had to wear a suit.

Hi Daisy

Thank you for the great review , we are so excited :bounce:

We have never been on a Disney cruise , but I have been on 7 others . We are taking our first cruise to the Western Caribbean in November , in 9 weeks 5 days WOOHOO. Which islands did you visit ? We are going to Cozumel , Grand Caymen , Cost Maya , and Belize . Any suggestions on things to do on these islands ?
I use to dress up for formal night but now that we have kids things maybe a little different since I have 3 of us to get dressed and ready . I have some dresses but not fancy by any means , I do have 1 formal that is if I fit into it , it is a size 4 , I don't think I am a 4 anymore but maybe a good pair of suck in the tummy briefs will work :)
Thank you Suzie , it is so nice when others understand what you are going though , my DH doesn't seem to get why I cry so much . I was better yesterday then the previous days . Did you ever get a new pet :dog: ? Thank God I have something to look forward to , we are really getting excited for our RCCL cruise in 9 weeks with my parents :Pinkbounc . I have never had a balcony room so I am truely looking froward to just sitting on the balcony watching the sea !!.
It sounds like all and all you had a pretty good time , To bad about the ants . Which parks did you visit ? The ears sound adorable :earsgirl: I think I am going to pass on the pirates pirate: costume since my one little truely thinks she is a boy . she told me yesterday she has a boys voice !!! Guess will have to keep en eye on that :rotfl2:

Have a wonderful day everyone

:hourglass 26 Days till Canada and Animal Safari

42 days to halloween :maleficen

42 days till Holly & McKennas Birthday :cake:
