Snoopyto...we stayed at the Doubletree for two nights last week on our way to Vero Beach. We used Tom's Hilton Honors points so we were not paying for it, but we liked it. The rooms were all ocean view (sideways, not straight on, although there were some straight on views). We had a key to the concierge floor (another HH bonus) so we had complimentary cocktails & snacks every evening and complimentary breakfast every morning. The pool was small, but nice and the ocean was only steps away. The only drawback (which may not be a drawback to you, but is to us) is that all of the rooms are connecting (which we hate)...other than that, it was a nice place to stay for a couple of nights...I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Lisa I will only be a little bit ahead of you and since we get lost at least 2 times anywhere we go I figure we will arrive at similar times.

Snoopy- Might want to verify with your hotel about parking for the week if you are leaving a rental car or your own car as I thought the Residence didn't offer free parking I could be wrong though! I will still love to get together!

My Thank you Cards for the Cabin Hosts and Hostess are done but I can't upload them here or on yahoo the size of them is too big so I uploaded them to my Trip Report Website

http://www.freewebs.com/iamgrumpy

They are located in the Photo's Section.

Thought I would share in case anyone needed some ideas!

Are we there yet?

Amy - Thanks for the reminder. Yes, I did call and check, have to make sure the truck has a nice safe place to rest for the week. They do have partnership for a shuttle, $4 per person. So that should work out just fine.

I am sure you will have no problem making it to Cocoa from Orlando Airport. If you follow all the cruise ship signs from the airport North exit, you will end up on A1A. Just be prepared for the tolls.

I want to apologise in advance for not knowing everyones name when we cruise. I know Shyla and Suzie will know exactly who everyone is, because they are so on top of thing here but there are so many of us now I am having a hard time keep everyone straight.

Formal- I am wearing a long creamy colored dress.

I just realized yesterday that for the 4 weeks including this week my children will be in school only 5 days. They have the 7 off for Spring Break and then go back for just 2 and then are off 8 for the trip. I really do not mind at all taking them out of school but when i think of it that way it sounds bad. It also means I work just 6 days out over the next 4 weeks but that I really like the sound of...only 3 days of work before we leave, tomorrow the 24th and 25th and then Florida here we come!!!!

CG , Congratulations :cheer2: on the 9.5 pounds that's awesome girl!
As for me well lets sat I found some of the Easter candy that my husband bought for the egg hunt Saturday with our friends, Reeses Peanut Butter cups are my down fall! :)

Michelle, thats o.k I will be in the same boat as you as far as the names go.

Good night everyone

Oh yeah,
1 week 5 days to go !:jumping1: :dumbo: :simba: :figment: :stitch: :goofy: :sulley: :tigger: :mickeyjum :donald: party: we can't wait to meet everyone on board.

Been really busy, not much time to post. Got tennis elbow, time to slow down. Looking forward to this trip. Wife talked me into an extra week, really seems like a good idea now. Expedition Everest - here I come! :woohoo: 5 more days of work

Tom, while you were gone, I was given a pirate name, but I can't remember it now. I wasn't given any official duties as a member of the pirate club, or was it the Stevemed club? pirate:

Wife wants an outside door installed before we can leave. Does she think we live in the north or something! :rotfl2: Snow is gone now, don't know what she's complaining about.

Hey, Michelle & Maria, knowing names (and other important stuff) is the very reason we have the other site, and also the reason I put together that big database. Look for it under "Files". It is a lifesaver!

Also, if everyone wants to take another look, we have version 3 out now and see if there are corrections to be made. Only give what info you're comfortable with (obviously). :) Snoopyto, I removed your version 3--the idea is to have updated versions coming from one source, so feel free everyone to email or PM me with the changes.

I see that it could work to have people do their own updates and post a new version but if more than one person made changes at the same time we could end up with some changes making it to the new version and some not, so let's just keep it streamlined.

BTW, we have a couples cabana massage time that we'll be canceling also--2 pm--if anyone wants it.

Hi Rubysmom , DH did something to blocked downloads on our computer so I can't access much on this . We had too many viruses on this darn thing, so I don't blame him . I was never able to even get the Roses address either :sad1: I know I can't access files on the other site , I have tried , the only thing I can see are the pictures now.

Sad news. There was another death on Mission Space yesterday. AllEars has the Orlando article. Ed has ridden it no problems. Me, I know my limits and will never get on it! G-force stuff attacks me for the rest of the day. No ToT but can do RnR with little backlash.

There was also an incident with the Illuminations Globe. Hopefully it was fixed for the light show last night.

April, got your address from Trish last night, so I'll get it in the mail to you today.

Got a lot of my packing done yesterday. Laundry has to come first. But got things set aside and am really happy with the amount. Not overpacking and not underpacking. DH is very happy that I am trying to restrict our luggage load. I told him that I'm having pity on his Old Man's back for having to lug it all! :lmao: Now for the shoes issue. Geez, I could pack alot and never wear them all (that's what happened last cruise!) but I think I don't have the right shoes this year for my black formal and sem-formal dresses. Don't want Hooker sized heels (yes, being short this is my form of tallness) and I gave away a lot of shoes last year cleaning out my closets. Oh, dear. I see shoe shopping in my future. Tom, wanna take me to try on shoes? Just try on, not buying! (yeah, right. Figured if it worked for your princesses, it would work for me!)

Just remembered that Ihave to stop the mail while we're gone! I don't mind asking the neighbors when it's only a few days but this is a long trip. The post office website is great! Tell them when to stop it and when to redeliver it all! Gotta love it! Okay, #3 on my list for the day.....

CG - how dressy are you guys going? I know you said that your one dress you might not wear (so sorry about that! I know that you had your heart set on it too!). Ed will be wearing his tux both nights just with different accoutrements. Powder blue with ruffles never looks so good! Just kidding!! :rotfl2: Last cruise we were pretty formal and our table mates just wore office-like style dresses. Not a problem, not everyone is comfortable dressed up. That's the beauty of this cruise!! Quinn is wearing a tux, right? Didn't you buy it off ebay or something? How cute he will be!!!

Okay, weather will be 79 today but it's already been raining today. Gas prices are soaring (now .30 more than when I left for WA!) and the motorcylce is just sitting in the shed. Of course it is. Got to wonder if it would be better to sell it some days. He barely rides it anymore and hardly ever to work. Saves us so much gas though and time on his behalf! He can sleep in and take HOV to work and back. Doesn't have to take back roads or get stuck in traffic. Big sigh.....

Her Majesty is clamoring for breakfast. Must go.

Good Morning! Love that I am getting the hang of this sllllloooooowwww internet thing!

Way to go CG-now if you'd just stop packaging those lost pounds and sending them my way- we'd be cool! It is really difficult to be on a diet at Grandmas! Sticky buns, meatloaf, you know the works!

We had a beautiful beach day yesterday but we all have strange sunburns-mine are on the tops of my feet(and I should know better) but I didn't get all the way down my toes. Hannah has a strange handprint on her thigh where I missed and Katie- well, she is someone elses kid! She didn't even get pink!

The kids didn't stop once all day- boogie boarding, sand castles, then the pool. By the time we were all done outside around 5pm, I thought for sure they'd fall asleep but it was close to 9:30! We are heading down to the beach again this am, it really takes a good few days before the kids get the hang of "vacation". You know-ssdd! The first day-they always want to do everything under the sun, but we adults know the secret to a perfect vacation is doing nothing at all "under the sun". Thankfully-my dad is here to provide hours of entertainment for the girls- teaching them to play tennis and raquetball, boogie boarding, beach paddle ball games. Gotta love that! I am trying to post a picture but at this speed......we'd see each other first!

My dad and I played tennis last night under the lights, that was fun....until I fell on the court. Word to the wise- don't wear running sneakers on a tennis court. I tripped over the big heel on my shoe and sailed backwards, my head bouncing off the court! This morning I had to take a quick mental test to make sure I knew where I was-who the strange people were in the other room and why my @$$ hurt so bad! :lmao: :lmao:

So-on to formal night....I am also in the short dress camp. I bought one for our last cruise that I LOVE so I can't wait to wear it again. Then, I bought 2 more dresses for quite a bargain(the kind you can't pass up even if you don't need two more strapless cocktail dresses). But they take up very little room!HGP will be wearing a dark suit both nights. CG- I am with you on the sea days outfit. In fact, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new bathing suit so much I might just wear that-throw on a shug or sweater and wear it to dinner :lmao: Accessorize and dress it up with shoes and wear it to port :rotfl2: Really, it is the perfect suit because the skirt makes it feel like clothes!

My grandfather took this one of the girls at Canaveral National Seashore.

All right- have a great day all! Chat soon

Man, I am hanging low this morning. :guilty: Paul and I had to go to a Ward Committee meeting last night to elect officers and we held it at a Very schwanky Chinese Restaurant and I ordered a drink, then since we had a babysitter we decided to hit another schwanky restaurant's bar and I had a beer there too. I have no idea why this would make me feel sooooo bad this morning - that is not that much, but for some reason it's kickin my butt. Maybe with the less pounds its less area to distribute the drinks into :lmao: :rotfl2:

I am sooo jealous PhillyJen! My whole childhood was spent vacationing doing what you guys are doing. It's been a while since I have just relaxed like that. We go to Maine for a week every year and much of the weekends too over the summer, but it's so hit and miss that rarely do we get full beach days.

Suzie - I will be in some form of a formal dress or a cocktail dress. Paul will be in a tux as will Quinn, and yeah, I got it for $16 off ebay. Ooo, you just reminded me I have to take care of something.......

My husband told me it's the Planters Punch I had that was doing it to me - he said it was gassed. :guilty:

OK - I want a roll call - Check in with a wave  or a shout out if you have NOT gotten your docs yet.

 ME! THAT WOULD BE ME!!!!!!

What is going on??????

PJ - glad you're having such a great time! Sorry about the fall. OUCH! Looks like y'all are having such a good time! High-speed will seem a thing of the future when you get back! Dial up! Didn't know anyone really had that anymore!

The girls are gorgeous and look like they're having such a great time! To be relaxed before your next vacation....aaaahhhh, heaven!

Off to the post office! The sky cleared up and it's gonna be a gorgeous day! I may even have to turn on the A/C since it's supposed to be so warm today! Huh! Who'da thunk it!

NO DOCS HERE EITHER! And my TA told me that they come only within two weeks. I had mine last time thru my TA (another one) a month before our cruise! I've getting a bit nervous about this! Holiday weekend with no mail on Monday and we leave next Friday. I'm going to shoot off an email to her right now. Not really happy with this one. Vickie I miss you!!!! (long story....)

My TA's in WDW right now! NO way to get ahold of her. :headache:

OK - well, the worst that can happen is that we don't get them in time. No big deal. We have filled out the forms on-line, will bring the signature form, and then we can get the immigration forms there and fill them out in line- no big deal!

What happens about the luggage tags, though? Do I even get them if I am not taking Dinsey transfers or flights?

The luggage tags come in your docs packet. DON'T USE THEM IF YOU ARE NOT GOING STRAIGHT TO THE SHIP!!! They will pick out your luggage - goes to a seperate spot than regular luggage - and take it to the port!! That's what we were told! Last time we went straight onto the bus and to the port, this time we're coming in a day early.

Although, someone should be taking over for your TA if she's on vaca. I would call the office and ask someone about your docs and confirm about the luggage tags.

Here goes my stress levels again!! I am such an anal person, that when things don't fall in line and everything is not in hand, my nerves get shot! Not fun! Ed is so easy going he can't understand why I'm like this.

Emailed my TA but she's three hours behind and goodness knows when she will answer me. Still waiting for a reply from her earlier this week about our docs. She was supposed to call and let me know the status....no word yet.....
