4/29/06 Eastern Magic...We're Going!!!!!

Hey everyone, talked to Suzie and all the people on her mini meet, (Arg John my fellow Pirate pirate: ) heard the ships horn tonight, the Queen had chills and tears, that is why they call it the Magic. Should meet up with Ed tomorrow, I can not believe that we are only four weeks away.

Snoops, my dream is to be able to drop everything and go to Disney for dinner, we ate at Jikos two nights ago and have to tell you it was the best experience that we have had for dinner.

Roses, the verandah was empty tonight, I hope that you don't get used to that, because we will either be at Top Siders looking down, or at the secret deck 7 looking up to get the invite to the hospitality suite (am I allowed to call it that)?

Pango, my boy keep posting, you are the Captain, but not the President of SteveMed's fan club. The Queen means no harm in posting, but twice the pictures equal twice the fun.

Time for Bed, gotta head to Vero in the morning, ocean, pool and drinks, that should be a commericial.

Pull up a chair and hang out with us.

glad I could help mketting and especially the Belle&Rella fam! So happy you made it there with my lame *** directions - so glad you had navigation and a concierge.

Alright Suzie, Trish, PAHW - keep it clean out there, have fun, and don't get all thinkin its a good time to pulling together all these fandangled stunts for the cruise now.

Wow , that's pretty good ! I'm 37 and DH is approaching 40 , but he looks 50 :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: , must be the girls and I prematurely age him. No really I'm just kidding, hope he doesn't read this one , latley he has been reading all the posts. He says he's a busy guy , I say O' please!

Just had to quote this to give Barry yet another opportunity to see this. I would be a dead woman with bilge coming out of my mouth like this. Men get more handsome with age in my book.

Boy, I go away for a couple of days and I've lost my status as SUEegg.

Been really busy reading. I have a paper due next weekend that I want out of the way so I can reward myself with shopping for cruisewear. Oh Yea.

Just booked an August trip to WDW. Guess we'll be going back during the summer heat. It'll be a great trip to hit the water parks!

Tom and Julie, hope the weather is behaving for you guys.

Just checking in...think I'm gonna get some of those cute kttw holders too.

toodles for now.

WE ARE GOING ON THE CRUISE THIS MONTH!!!!

WELCOME SNOOPS!!! A more entertaining Cruise meet group there has never been. This is a great group of people. Suzie will need to hook you up with an invite to the yahoo site she started.

April Fools- Kirk pulled a mean April fools "joke" on the kids. This morning Kirk got all serious with kids, told them to turn off the cartoons, that we had something to talk to them about. He then told the kids that we got a call from Disney and they had to cancel our cruise . Meghan immediately started to sob hysterically. Jared just sat there not sure what to say. With the way Meg reacted I think it could have been considered child abuse telling her that. Well, Kirk quickly then said what day is today?? They were both happily relieved it was just a joke.

Tom and Julie- hope you're enjoying you prevacation vacation. It was back in the 40's here in Western NY.

Suzie- hope you and all those west coaster are having a good time too.

Had BUNCO at my house tonight. Of course I won nothing, you can actually even win money by being the biggest loser. But as Seinfiel would say I'm always "Even Steven."

Going to bed now.....night all! What a great day!

What a nice looking group , lots of sex pots :). That is so wonderful you all got a chance to met before the cruise . Rubysmom , is that you ? Where are the kids ? Glad you had such a good time , I'm so jealous . It is so sad when most of us East coasters live only hours or even a state or 2 away that we never set up a met , West Coasters you rock,:cheer2:

Mketting , Your right , we finally don't have to say next month , yippy , yippy , yippy. Wow , it sure is coming up fast . Oh , I never win at Bunco either , so don't feel bad.

Cg , thanks for the recap , I'm sure he will see it now. No my honey is very handsome to me. You are right thou , most men do get better with age , looks wise that is.

Tom & Julie , hope you are having the time of your lives down there . I saw the weather and it looks amazing, wish we were there with you. Enjoy the rest of your vaca

Oh , I really must share this with all of you . My DH , Barry thinks you are all loooooaded $$$$$$$$$$$, he says that everytime I tell him someone is in WA or FL. He is just trying to figure out who would be the best couple to handle our bar tab :) . We are going to be the poor people on the ship, sorta like on the Titantic we will be the last ones let off. :rotfl2: going down with the ship!

Good morning! :sunny:

Honestly, you'd think Suzie was fibbing about being here since I haven't posted a thing since she arrived! How sad is that? (Thank goodness for the great pic she posted last nite!)
We've been having fun, though. First day was a looooong one for her, since we went to my kids' spring program that night and finally left after 9 pm (12 am for her!), but it was a great show, Emma had her first solo, Mike was the lead stagehand (too cool to sing, of course) and the Uganda Children's Choir was there and did opening and closing numbers, including "God Bless America" which was a real lump-in-your-throat song. First time both kids listed individually in the program and Emma center stage and no camera. BAD MOM BAD MOM!!! Suzie and Tori were troopers though and we went home to sleepy sleep.

Yesterday was the infamous West Coast :grouphug: Mini-Meet/ :stir: Strategy Session ( ;) CG! ) and that was THE BEST! Such perfect timing for our man Tom, the great and venerable Banana Hammock Fan Club Prez  , to sacrificially set down his drink for a few moments in order to hold his phone up high enough to catch the sail-away notes from the Mother Ship! You never saw so many people devoted to one cell phone speaker before. Awesome moment!! Only after 'wishing on a star' did we learn of Tom's great sacrifice. Thankfully, nothing spilled in the excitement and he was able to again imbibe. :drinking1 :teeth:

So WONDERFUL to meet The Roses, who are every bit as wacky and fun as you all think they are...actually more! See that little twinkle of mischief in Sue's eye? Be very afraid...Just ask her about the Siamese twin story...and Jon is only faking that innocent grin...a truer pirate I ne'er met...ARRRRGGH! And after a few wrong turns by ulittletinker (aided by a few wrong-turn directions from me-SORRY, Miss V!!) we gathered her into the fold. :grouphug: Suzie told Tori we were going to meet the pirate: and all the way to Olympia she kept asking "Are we going to meet the pirate?" and when we got there Jon had to give her an ARRRRGGGGH! (you'd 'ave been so proud Tom ::yes:: ) which was sufficiently convincing. Then she needed a sword made from her placemat, which Sue deftly (okay, maybe it took a little tweaking ;) )converted to a tricornered hat and Tori wore it proudly. We had a blast conversing on a variety of topics, cruise-related and not, before parting ways, except that we dragged our newfound scrapbook buddy ulittletinker off to my favorite scrapbook store in Olympia where we found lots of fun stuff. I think we all got out of there without losing our shirts--good thing too! :scared1:

I'm sure Suzie will be able to share more specifics as she was not drinking :rotfl: but I'm pretty sure that a fabu time was had by all and we were only sorry more of you couldn't have been there!

Yes, Maria, that's me on the left, with the HUGE and EMPTY plate. Just for the record, it was a salad, and everyone else DID eat too! :p And please break the sad news to Barry that we none of us are loaded (at least not with $$$$$$) :lmao: or at least if we were before, we aren't now that we've paid for our cruise, lol! ...In explanation, both kids had soccer games back home and both kids scored goals, first of the season, and mom wasn't there! Again, BAD MOM BAD MOM!! DH had the camcorder, though, thank goodness!

Just want to say a bit THANK YOU to Exec VP Pango for holding down the fort while Mr. T is away, and also to Mrs. T for going above and beyond the call of duty posting the countdown while on vacation!! You are awesome, Julie! And don't you worry, honey, it wasn't even 27 yet on the west coast, but we won't tell the VP, k?

WELCOME SNOOPYTO!!! You'll absolutely love this bunch!

And one more thing...I'm sure I'm missing something (shocking I know) but there's something going on about you SUEEGG...you fit in here like an egg in a nest :teeth: and there's more to the story, I'm sure! :scratchin Things sometimes move a bit slower over here near the Pacific Ocean (including our brains) so help me out and do tell!

Welcome Snoopyto :cool1:  :cheer2:

Don't let the few thousand posts scare you away, everyone here is great! Someone did mention that there would be a test from here though. Start making notes! :rotfl2:
I think it's wonderful that you would describe your wife like that. What day is your anniversary? Do you have anything special planned, like a reservation at Palo's? You mentioned coming down to Disney. Will you be coming in a few days before the cruise? There are some of us talking about a meeting at WDW maybe on Friday I think.

The Novaks

Oh yeah, a couple more notes:

No bracelet order yesterday, as you might have guessed!! We'll be posting an order summary for your review here tonight or tomorrow and hopefully order on Tuesday. :thumbsup2

Also, be sure and PM or email me with any more updates to the database as we'll be posting v.2 that day as well.

You may now return to your regular programming.

I just have to share this story, it shows how good things can come from bad.

My cousin's husband passed away last week. We haven't been very close to this cousin. No particular reason, just busy lives I guess. We knew there wouldn't be much family there for her, so we made the 4 hour trip in to Winnipeg to be with her for the funeral. Her husband's family came from all over the world (Singapore, Trinidad, various US states, etc). As they talked about him, I started to realise what we had missed by not getting to know this wonderful person. After the funeral, his family was hosting a lunch and we were invited. Picture around 150 people, and only 10 of us are from the wife's side of the family. For the others, it was a family reunion. As they started to visit, they made a point of including us and treating us like part of the family. Once the youngest brother found out I would be in Florida later this month, he gave me his phone number and wants to meet up at WDW. He lives not far from there and would like his family to meet mine. He reminded me probably 4 times before I left to make sure to call him.

I just think that it is so special that a new friendship could be made from such a sad occasion. By the way they described him, I think Elton would be happy with this outcome. It also makes me realise that we have to make time for extended family so there aren't regrets later.

Good morning, everyone! Yes, nice sleep last night to be woken up to the "Mommy, I don't wanna go back to sleep!" at 5:30 this am...OMG! Is it illegal to give kids sleeping pills?! Lordy, I feel like a car that is only running on half it's cylinders...

Yesterday, what a fun time! Yes, I think Sue wins for making me laugh too hard! The Siamese twin story was hysterical! See, surgeons can have a sense of humor!

Sue, do remind us your biggest fear for the cruise again....something about not being on the ship on time and everyone in your cabin?! Are the chatchkeys (ebonics spelling okay?!) bolted down? Who has the key? I'll never te-eelllll!

Jon, you are the man! Made Tori's day meeting Pirate Jon! She is wondering where your pirate clothes are and why you didn't arrive in your ship! You guys are great! My kid was such not on her best behaviour, please forgive us....it's much better when daddy is there to keep her in hand....we're such a great team working together. Apologize again....she is very high energy sometimes.

Pango, if you want the invite, you gotta ask for it. This is not a free service, charges will occur on the ship! Just kidding!!!! Nah, just PM me and I'll get it to you when I get my first chance. Glad to see you finally aboard....gotta be a Buffett song in there somewhere.....

We had such a great time yesterday, like meeting up with old friends, that our conversation flowed like the beer being served.....and unfortunately the memory of conversation is blurred a bit just like the morning after the beer flow! Hard to even say what we talked about, just that it was smooth flowing...or was that the beer again!? Could be the secret meeting we were planning for the cruise, so we are all sworn to secrecy....just like the Tootsie-pop, the World may never know!!!

BYE! BCNU!!

Tom,

Thanks for Len's invite into the Pirate Club. He's up to his ears in painting right now, but he'll email as soon as he can. I won't let him get paint on my computer! Hope you are having a wonderful vacation. You can relax knowing the vice-president is looking after things fine while you are gone.
