Advice to all.....and to myself!....you can plan all you want, but when you're having a good time, things go out the window!!! We had so much fun just sitting on deck or sitting in the pool watching Tori love the water...forgot all those plans we had...it is vacation after all! ENJOY! I know we will!!! It's a time to be lazy and relax, a time to enjoy the family....keep repeating it to yourself and it finally sinks in! There is so much to do you just can't do it all without driving yourself crazy! Pick a few things that are ULTRA important and really try for those. If you get to anything else, well, that's just icing on the cake! We are going to have so much fun!!QUOTE]

Suzie , I totally agree with you! On our last cruise I definetly think we way over planned in fact I studied the ship up and dwon before we left , I knew just about everything there was to know, and I have to say I think it may have spoiled the cruise alittle. It seems before when we flew by the seat of our pants it was so much more fun and relaxing. We definetly plan on doing alot with the girls, just like you said sitting by the pool watching them have the time of their lives was wonderful!!!! Holly told everyone at the post office today she is swimming in the Mickey Mouse ears hottub , it was so darn cute!

For everyone doing well on their diets a big Congrats !
I know what you all mean by feeling terrible after a big meal, I do it on weekends when DH is home. I am just dying for a hot fudge sundae from Johonny Rockets, I think I'll get one tomorrow:)

Just got off the phone with Mrs. Pirate aka The Pirate Wench....since Monday seems to be playing havoc with schedules, how about Saturday, 2:30, their cabin? This would replace the first deck 10 meet but we will still keep the second one after the lifeboat drill. We could raid the Topsiders buffet for little tidbits of food to bring and Ed volunteered to bring our Apple Pucker for Apple Martinis if someone is bringing the Vodka. (the only bottle we have is opened and you can't bring open containers on the ship). Room service also has the All Hands on Deck cheese tray which can be ordered and brought. As long as room service is up and running on the first day...didn't think about that, thank you Ed for that reminder...will have to check into that...but Topsiders is open still.

Anyway, does this sound good to everyone? I know that not everyone will be able to meet but some will. I think this would be a great time!!!

Thanks again, Roses!!!

Oh, As long as it isn't Monday , that is the girls Poker night!

I think Daddy dealt them the same hand but different suits , he's such a good Daddy:rotfl:

I am totally in for the Pucker, that's my favorite, I add it to my Smirnoff's , and Bacardi's! We have every favor under the sun. If I thought it was o.k to bring it I would but I have never taken liquor onboard, has anyone else?

How many people will be travelling from Orlando to the port? I still think it would be so cool to rent the Hummerzine. It even has a dance floor, 2 flat screen TVs, etc. It has everything. It also holds 20 people, and they offer a van to follow with the luggage. What a great party to start the cruise. Come on everyone, think of how great it would be. :cool1:

Who wants to join us!!!

BLBCB, I would totally be into , but it really depends on the cost , and if we can get some of our money back for the transfers.

I just got this information from mousesavers. I wish there was pictures. We could even just do it one way, either to the ship or leaving the ship.

"They also have the longest stretch H-2 Hummer limousine in Orlando! The exotic Hummerzine offers 2 flat screen TVs, 2 sub-woofers, dance floor, DVD, 3 a/c units, 2 lasers, strobe lights & much more. Wild! Rates for the Hummerzine from MCO to the Walt Disney World resorts start at $275 one-way or $550 roundtrip (plus gratuity and any applicable fees*), but this vehicle can transport up to 20 passengers comfortably. If you have a big group, the per-person rate isn't bad at all... and hey, you can say you've ridden a Hummerzine!"

ohsodisney, what kind of transfers did you get?

The price of the hummerzine is a flat rate, so you just divide it by the number of people riding. That way the more people we have the cheaper it is, and the bigger the party.

Just think about how kids of any age (my husband would turn into a 40 year old kid if he got to ride in it), would be excited to ride in something like that. Make sure to bring cameras.

BLBCB, o.k o.k , I called Disney and we can cancel up to 3 days prior for the transfers. We would need it to be both ways , from the AKL to the port and the port back to the airport. If there is enough people I say lets go for it! The transfers were $240.00 for us. how many is there in your party? We have the 2 girls so I'm not sure how that would work.

Oh , one more question , when do we pay for it, and how? We would probally have to use the ol'e CC.

PAAAAAAAARRRTY!!! :drinking1

How's 2:30ish on Sat? Get on board, go pig out at the buffet, find your room, and then kick off your vacation with a couple of libations while we're waiting for the lifeboat drill. We'll have wine plus assorted drinks for the non-wine drinkers. We're thinking this might be a nice way to get to know folks at the start of the cruise, plus it's one of the only free times before all of our schedules fill up.

This will be a come-and-go affair, and we want everyone to feel welcome. We think we can fit at least 30 on the verandah and another 15 or so inside. If we have more, we'll just overflow to the not-so-secret deck 7, which is right over the end of our balcony.

What do you think?

Roses and Matterns Entertainment Inc.

BLBCB , I sent you a PM . I went to the Happy Limo website and it is showing $750.00 RT. that may be a bit steep for us if there isn't at least 4 groups going.

Call Happy Limo and ask for rates. It is a nice ride but there's not a lot of room for luggage...so 20 plus luggage probably wouldn't work. Yes, we loved the ride but it was a suprise that we didn't have to pay for so I'm not sure the cost....definitely call! See what they offer you.

They will charge your credit card for the ride either the week before or the day of...can't seem to remember....they don't do cash except for tip! Works better for us that way anyway!

You can see our luggage stuffed into the back area. ( I hate pictures of myself so consider yourselves lucky to see this!) :lmao:

They do have other limos that hold like 8-12 people (I think that's right) if that weould be a cheaper ride. They are very nice too! The Lincoln Navigator I think is what we had going back to the airport - fits eight people. That was what we originally had scheduled.

Hope things work out!

Roses and Matterns Ent: Sounds like a great plan! I'll adjust my over-planned cruise matrix accordingly! :teeth:

Barb & Ohso--I reeeally want to join in the Hummerzine party, but we're flying into Tampa and are already paying for a 1-day car rental from there to the parks area.

We're returning to WDW area after the cruise, but we're trying to get there early as possible for our ONE (1) blowout day in the park. Even getting off the ship early and driving ourselves, we will have a tough time getting to the Pop and then to the parks before 10 am.

Anyway, I hope it works out for you all!

Woo hoo!!!!! We're in the thirties now!!!!!!!!!

Queen, somehow I do not remember you having these feelings back when I threw you a surprise birthday party when you turned 30?

Hi Gang! Roses- thank you for the generous invitation, I hope we can stop by on Saturday. Patty is going to be the "model" in the spa all afternoon, we think so she won't be there, which leaves me with 4 kids for a bit. I don't now if you or your suite is ready for little girls! If we can just stop by for a minute to meet everyone, that would be great!

Regarding the Limo-Patty called Happy and she got us the Stretch Excursion. for 8 of us. We had that the first time and it was great. I think she said it was $350 between the two families. I thought that was great since last time, we paid $150 for just our family to take the limo about 12 miles up A1A from Satellite Beach. Suzie- I am not sure if you've used them for cruising, but do you know if they will stop at a grocery store or an ABC liquer on the way? We will have our rolling cooler after all and it will need to be stocked!!

CG- glad to hear you are doing better and to all on the BL diet-great job! I am back on WW today....I used the low carb thing for 2 weeks to get the ball rolling so to speak. Finally broke myself thru a plateau that I haven't seen in 2 years!! Nothing major but I am sure you have all experienced a certain weight loss(in my story-I could only lose about 3 lbs before hitting a plateau) and it just stops...that is where I was and really frustrated. I really like core, aside from dessert and drinks(which I have "given up" for now :lmao: ), it is most like how I usually eat-Salads, lean meats and low fat dairy. So you wonder why I needed to lose weight in the first place eating like that....I can keep weight off, I can't lose it to save my soul and I gained 8lbs on our first Disney cruise and was never able to get it off. If I don't start right away on that gain(when it is still kind of temporary), it is really difficult to get off. So- that was enough for the therapy couch for this morning.

I went shopping yesterday, hit the sales at Talbots Kids, Gymboree and the Disney Store for some "last minute" shopping before Florida. Got the girls baseball hats, some cute outfits that could be for spring to school and for the cruise. I panick about this time of year bc they should be wearing cute spring clothes, and they think they should and it is 36 degrees out! It is always a fight in the morning. The problem here inthe spring, and Suzie you have this same situation I am sure, it is 55 degrees for a little while, then it is 80. There really is no middle ground. The day Katie was born(April 28, 2001) it was 85 degrees! I usually buy way too many "spring" outfits for the kids that they wear a few times and then it is shorts weather already! I was explaining my troubles to my friend who has 2 boys. She laughed at me, her boys, who always look nice, wear nice t-shirts and track pants virtually every day. VERY easy!

I agree with you all about the over planning. I was just as prepared last time and didn't lose any of the "magic", but this time, since I have been there before I am hoping the trip doesn't lose something since we all know what to expect. Thankfully, the kids are both at different age groups so that should be good. I tried the cruise matrix, and I realized that only things on there were our Palo ressies and the "tastings" so I bagged it. My intention was to have the whole thing filled out but hid from my family and cruise companions(they all think I am nuts). I agree though that the planning is the only way to function through the waiting! :yay: :yay:

Alright-I'd better run. Hannah has standardized testing today, time for the big breakfast. I remember my mom would always make eggs and toast for us on days like that!

Have a great day!
PJ

Good morning!

BCLB and OHso - you will also need to pay for a luggage vehicle to follow your limo - that will be extra. We would love to join - but we will be at the airport Marriott.

A question on the get together on Saturday. Is this for the whole family? The clubs will not be open, so there won't be anywhere for the kids to go.

Roses - thanks again for opening your cabin to all of us!!

OHJulie :wave2:
