It's official....we booked our 7 night Eastern Caribbean sailing on April 29th, 2006!!!

571 days seems like so far away, but hopefully time will fly by and before I know it we'll be sipping two-for-one drinks on deck 10 and saying "James, another round"!!!
Hard to believe that this thing was 571 days away when we booked it (10/4/04) and now it's just 63 days away!!!!!!!

Hi Bellaandrellasmom , I was thinking the same thing today . I can't believe how close it is getting . Once I start counting down in single digit weeks it seems to fly by . I think when I found this board we were somewhere in the 165 day range or more . I'm getting so excited , it's great when DH is home on the weekends so i can talk his ear off about the trip.

59 more days til Disney World . :earsboy: :earsgirl: :smickey: :tink: :donald: pluto: :dumbo: :donald: pooh:

I ended up buying that one swimsuit I posted on here and one more that is a dress swimsuit one , it is one of the miraclesuits . I love these for walking around the ship . I have a Liz Claiborne 2 pc with the skirt and I even went to lunch at the Windjammer cafe in it , i was so happy not to have to go back to the cabin to change . I think i am all set now for the cruise . I don't think we need to buy anything else , DH likes to wear just your basic tee and cargo type shorts , so don't expect to see him in anything that looks Hawiian or tropical :) . i may pack one for him but I highly doubt he'll wear it .

It has been terrible weather here , lots and lots of snow . I'm so jealous Suzie is seeing her spring flowers pop out already .

I am concidering opening a flower farm next year . I have a passion for planting and unusual flowers .We have 3-4 acres so I may even do trees . I will have to post some pictures of my landscaping once spring comes. Roses are also one of my favorates and they do very wll here . Every year we plant a new tree , we also plant one when someone close to us passes away. I like azealeas but they don't do very good due to very high akaline soil.

Well enough of my babbling

Hope everyone is doing good with their BL weight loss . I am eating deviled eggs like a mad women and it really does work , there is no carbs at all in them and the only fat is from the mayo . You should really try the smoothie trick I swear but that too .

I can't believe the cruise is coming so fast either, when we booked it was 473 days out. I am kind of sad though and actually don't want it to get here to fast because then it wil be over. :(

The weather here is nasty too. The temp. is dropping and it is snowy. Jen, I know you miss the snow being down there in Philly now but this has just been the best winter for Rochester. All my neighbors paid upfront for plowing this year because the predictions were so bad and I don't think we have gotten more than an inch or 2 at a time so far. I am loving it!!!!

Let's just say I don't want to even think about how much we (by we, I of course mean me) are spending for this trip. Every time I go out I seem to buy something for the trip, and truth be told we don't "NEED" most of it. I got Meghan a really cute suit at Penneys yesterday. I really do have everything we need except for the tux for Jared. NO MORE SHOPPING!!!! Unless I find something really cute. ;)

Kirk calls you all my VIRTUAL FRIENDS.

Suzie- Meghan and I are going to DC the weekend of March 17th to see my cousin who is there as a congressional page this semester. Is there any chance the blossoms will be out that early? We were going to go last weekend but decided to wait hoping for better weather down there.

If anyone has any suggestions for must do's for an 8 year old in DC let me know. I have been there lots of times myself but not with my kids.

Ok, can you tell I'm avoiding doing the laundry?? There is so much down there I might not make it back out once I venture in.

This is me right Now!

I was just wondering how full our ship is so far, according to travelocity there are 32 available cabins right now.

Barb- If we were staying at WDW would have loved to share, thanks for the offer though.

Last thing... I bought the DISNEY SCENE IT game for the kids yesterday. We all had a lot of fun playing it. Two Thumbs UP.

To the basement I go :crazy2:

The way things are blooming around here, I would say yes!!! The best place to view them is at the Jefferson Memorial. I'm told sunrise is the best time, but since I'm not a morning person, I'll just take their word for it.

Hmmmm....8 year old in DC.....museums - the First Ladies dress section of American History is pretty neat. The Large dollhouse is pretty cool, too. Gee, our house is pretty nifty too!!! Great place to visit, cheap entrance fee......lots of play area.......hee-hee! Geez, you really got me on that one! I don't really know off hand! Oh, the pressure! I'll let you know...

LOVE Disney Scene it! Fun game!!

Love those pics!
62 more days 'til we're poolside sippin' bahama mamas....
Is it too early to start packing?

The Roses

HI everyone - I miss you all - how sad is that???

Quick check in from the hotel. Here are some observations:

(I am having a freakin blast by the way!)

1) Raglan Road is AMAZING!!!! Best bar I have been to in a very long time!!!! AWESOME!!!! Great food too!

2) If you don't do rope drop at the parks, you're an idiot! Well, maybe not that bad because I know how hard it is to get there for it - but come on, I was driving 45 minute and I made it there for rope drop both days.

Here's why it's the only way to go - being the weekend of Feb vacation I was a wee bit freaked about the crowds. BUT, by being at the rope drop both days I was done with every ride by 11:30 a.m.

3) Soaring is AMAZING!!!!!! The ride is awe inspiring - absolutely awe inspiring. BUT, totally depend on your seat. I got C row last seat on my second ride of the day (yup, see rope drop again, I was able to do Soaring twice and EE twice all before 10 am) and I was practically off the screen. That sucked. But it was still cool.

4) Disney should go back to designing animatronics rides - they should go old school again. I thought Mission Space was totally a let down and I just didn't like Test Track that much either. Both of these rides were built in an effort to stem off Universal - just go back and do what you know best! I ended my day yesterday with Spaceship Earth and thought, hey, this is what I love/loved about Disney and this is a good ride still to this day.

4 1/2) San Angel Inn is sooo romantic and has wonderful food - not to mention that $8 margarita that was one the best I have ever had.

5) Expedition Everest is going to be the biggest thing in Orlando for years to come. IT is one of the best rides I have ever been on!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!

6) If they tell you EE is shut down - just go anyways. Their lying to you to cut down the crowds. I was able to ride it twice while it was "shut down". I gave away my fast pass to go to Lion King.

7) DIS'rs are the most friendly best people in the world!!!!!!! :disrocks:

I sat next to a woman in Festival of the lion king and she started talking to me and I was asking her some questions and it became apparent that she was no Disney slaker - so I asked and sure enough she's a DIS'rs - she was so nice and made me - the loser single rider, feel very warm and like I was among friends.

OK - so those are just observations - I have pictures to go with a full trip report for you all. I

I am off to work. Tomorrow I have a little more recon to do - then it's back home.

Paul is having a super rough time with the kids - everything that can go wrong has. I am feeling really, really bad - but gotta say, I am also loving being down here as I am having a perfect time - everything has gone perfectly for me from a great car, perfect flight, to no lines and great food all the time (diet has gone to hell, but I did lose quite a bit prior and the walking is helping the weight keep at bay).

TTFN!!!! Oh, and just so no one gets tooo jealous - it's super crappy weather today. It was pouring rain this morning and a cold front came in and it's not much warmer here than it is at home right now - I had the heat on in my car this morning. Yesterday was beautiful, though, but not super sunny.

Hey! My first ticker! (Hope you can read it)

The Roses <--- want to be like the cool kids that have count downs on their e-sigs.

I must say, I saw this on the tv schedule today and just died laughing - thought of all of y'all!!!

DIY Special Presentation: I did it with Duct Tape!!

Host Ed Del Grande shares tips and facts about duct tape. Learn how to utilize tape around the house, with fashion, automotive needs, crafts and more!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

How's that for timing!!

Roses - Nope! Not to early to start packing! I've been throwing things in the suitcase we have set up so that I don't forget things! As I remember, I throw it in the suitcase! Keeps me from pulling my hair out the night before we leave or kicking myself when we're on the trip!

CG - I'm jealous that you got to do EE and Soarin'! We've not been able to do either because Tori is too small and I hate riding rides by myself especially roller coasters! Gotta have someone to hold onto! Glad you're having a good time, though the weather's not the best :( Gosh, you hope to escape to warm sunny FL for a few days and look what happens! Bummer....

Ed has a meeting with a Board of Directors for one of his proposals next Tuesday. Kinda nervous (me - not him!) and I'm not even gonna be there!

Okay, forgot everything else I was gonna say. Gotta finish laundry so I don't have to do it the rest of the week!

CG- I couldn't agree with you more. We went on Spaceship earth last before we left Epcot this summer. Both the kids were in AWE and after a week at Disney that is tough to do. Since I worked for GM( I am effectively a retiree at the ripe old age of 33....) I get to go in the VIP entrance- go up to a lounge and have a diet coke and then get escorted to the front of the line......We like test track, but I know I wouldn't wait in that line if I had to! I love San Angel, we coulnd't get in there the day we were there, so we ended up a Morroco and were glad we did! The food was fabulous.

I have a rant, but it would take 6 pages just to get if off my chest- a neighbor-childs peer rant, but after stewing all day and not sleeping last night I just don't have the energy....someday if you want to be appalled, I will tell you but arhhhh!!!!! But the Disney cruise was the straw that broke our dysfunctional camels back..... So I am having more wine than I need tonight at 5:36....second glass....just to help me make sense of it all..

Not much new here, except my official job this past weekend has been watching paint dry.... YOu know ladies. Your man paints and it is your job to freak out at each litte mistake. I got all dressed up last night, you know jeans and a cute little Ann Taylor clearance shrug and tank top cause it was saturday night. I parked myself on the stage and had my glass of wine "watching the paint dry". The pole is getting installed next! :lmao:
Just kidding.....He did a fabu job. He did a chair rail in the Theater area and we did a Merlot color on the bottom and a deep beige color on the top. Needless to say- he "worked" all day. I was just the spectator and fell asleep during Madagascar- halfway thru. Nothing like having your kids wake you up on the chair to kiss them goodnight. HGP is a true trooper.

Now we are waiting for our "worked all day" pizza and cheesesteaks to get delivered. Chat soon!

PJ

PJ - You're scaring me, girlie! Hope the wine gives you a good nights sleep and you wake up to a better day! Sorry you're having such a rough time....gosh, big hugs to you!

OOOHH!! Saw something the other day that made me think about you! There's this company that makes cell phone chains for your purse - so that you don't have to fumble around trying to find it when it's ringing....well, it's a really pretty beaded necklace type chain that made me immediately see you! Just looked like it was right up your alley! Hmmmm......nothing ventured, nothing gained.....and I do have an order for you this week.....will email you!

Hugs again, sweetie!

Partypat - any news from your son? Did he make it to Berlin (wasn't that where he was going?)? Wish he could send some pics so that we could see....okay, trying to live freedom through him, yes! You caught me!! It's only cause I'm jealous :guilty:

Jen- Neighbor kids can be a blessing and a curse. It's great when everyone is getting along but really stinks when there is a problem and you have to keep seeing them. Hope you situation gets resolved. Go ahead and rant here if you like.

CG- Didn't like Mission Space either. I never get sick on rides but that one made me feel so sick to my stomach. Kirk said it was because I turned my head and convinced me later in the day to try it again, same result. I wouldn't have minded if the ride had been worth it but it wasn't. Test Track on the other hand was fun, Meghan and Jared really liked it.

You can rant here, we'll listen. Or you can rant at the yahoo site if you don't wanna rant in public. Anything that helps you make it another 63 days until you can drink with us. :drinking1

Sorry , I'm too tired tonight to bable but I have a quick question , what is soaring ? Is it a new ride , and where is it ?

PJ , I'm with you girl . The last few weeks have been tough without DH home . the kids are driving me a bit nuts , like I said before I think they are just getting bored and have no idea what to do with themselves .

I never let DH paint I have to do it myself , it is the one thing I actually enjoy doing and I know it will get done right away . We have had the bathroom remodeled for over a year now and the addition for 10 months , there is till no baseboard in the bathroom and no window trim around the girls windows , oh and the new bay window we put in is still unfinished on the ouside .

Oh , I have a HUGE yippy tongiht . DH has agreed to pay off my CC debit , oh yeah !!!! It isn't exactly small either but he feels bad being away that I get the bonus this year !!!! . I really want to be a SAHM again at least till my girls go to kindergarden .

Well I thought I was going to be short and quick , guess I didn't exactly do that .

Well CG enjoy your time away , glad you are having fun , wish it was me thou :)

Mketting , I completely understand about not really wanting to know how much this trip is costing , I do figure thou it is about half the price of a new SUV , or 10% of our mortgage LOL .
