And thanks for the support. You guys are great! I LOVE YOU, BEER MAN!!

Hello, just wanted to check in since it has been awhile, I figured since I am the self appointed leader of the SteveMed and HeadGear Pat fan club, that I should make an appearance. I had to go to Betty Ford after the last couple of days, but the good news is that we have another 32 dollars of on board ship credit, thanks to my 3200 bar bill at the convention that I was just at. I told the Queen that I was just taking one for the team, thank god I am a professional when it comes to Crown Royal. I hope everyone is doing fine, and haven't been able to keep up lately, but I do plan on doing some catching up on Friday (happens to be an office day).

Hopefully I can post more tomorrow!!!!

I can't believe you have crocuses!!!! Glad you had a good day today and sooo glad to hear about your Gram. Phewwww is right!

TT - Duuuude! :drinking1

And, may I just say that I am the proud parent of Federal and State tax returns filed tonight!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are done, fanito bonito, in the can, down the toilet, out the door with the trash DONE!!!!!

Oh, and the good part is that we get back lots of money!!!!!! THAT'S THE BEST PART!!!! WOOHOO!!! OH, YEAH!! UH-HUH!! doing my little white-man's dance here!!

Suzie, glad to hear about Mimi. Thyroid is much better that a stroke :thumbsup2 Medication is the biggie. Hope they get it all under control. I loved your picture today. Doesn't make me feel so bad having 60 degree days. Ed having fun with Tori brings a smile to my face. He must be a great dad. You can see it in their body language.

As to the bracelets. Can I make a suggestion? I feel that we should all send a check for the total cost of the bracelets divided by how many we are going to receive, along with a self addressed stamped envelope (you can tell us how much postage to put on the envelope by calucating the weight of the heaviest envelope, ie mailing the most bracelets). It would be easy for whoever is sending them to us as the envelopes would be ready to go, as long as everyone sent the big envelopes that the bracelets would fit into. We're not talking rocket science here. If you have a better system, my address is on the other site. Whatever you decide, I'm in. Just thought I'd put my 2 cents worth in.

CG, does this mean that when I become addicted to WDW vacations, I can book thru you. Living in California, I went to Disneyland when I was 8 and then again when I was 16 and have been 3 times since then. Not to mention the Disney Cruise I took on the Big Red Boat in 1987. I definitely have not become addicted like you guys. You talk about WDW as if its your backyard. The last time I was there only MK and Epcot existed. Evidently, it has grown. Can't wait to experience what your talking about. I guess living on the East Coast has a lot to do with it. The West Coast Disneyland is very limited. Nothing like Orlando. Sounds like theres lots of pixiedust: in your neck of the woods.

Hello all--I know you're all in bed probably, but I'm just back in town from an exhausting family issue and was catching up, so I'll post now.

CG--How TOTALLY exciting...I really hope you get this TA job. I have dreamed of being a Disney-only TA ever since I realized I had the *sickness* about 10 years ago. If you get it (the job), you can be in charge of planning our next cruise meet! Woohoo! :thumbsup2

Dieting--Something's gotta give here for me...off the wagon the past few days with this family issue! WW Core sounds simple enough and has structure, which I need! I might even be crazy enough to do SlimFast until the trip! (Ok, maybe not that crazy)

Suzie--So great to hear some good news about your Gram. Sometimes the best kind of news is an ANSWER, even if it reveals a new problem--in this case, a treatable one. Also, yay on the flowers. It's such a beautiful sign of spring. Tori is so precious to talk to the little yellow crocus. You could do a children's picture book with that kind of thing!

Michelle--size 10 :woohoo: That is awesome! What a great feeling. I tried on my 12s the other day just to check...nope! Time for me to get serious!!

PJ--that recipe sounds so yummy and even someone who hates to cook like myself could do it without agony. I will try it and let you know how it goes.

The issue--My uncle has tongue cancer which is getting fairly near the end. Pls don't feel sad for me personally, as we aren't close. My mom's side had 13 bros & sis's and some have already passed on from various things. This uncle smoked and chewed tobacco for decades so it's no shocker. I am the only one in the fam who knows about medical insurance billing (my job the past 13 years) so I am mostly providing emotional support for my mom & helping work out the insurance issues. I hope I don't sound callous. Don't get me wrong, this uncle is dear to me as is all my family, but I haven't been close to him and haven't really seen him but twice in the past 15 years, so it's more practical than emotional for me. So we worked on getting Pwr of Atty for my mom and getting his HMO to authorize home health care and feeding supplies, which they probably will deny, but we're requesting it anyway. This fam is so big that any serious medical issue becomes a family reunion in the waiting room of whatever medical facility happens to be used. It was good to see lots of these people and some ph #s were exchanged to catch up with some cousins & their families now that we're all 'grown up' & married, lol. On a very positive note, I stayed at my brother's and we stayed up talking until 330 am (believe me, that is a positive--when he's in a talking mood, I take advantage of it!)

Meanwhile, my regular work is backing up at home, and I'm behind on the thread and very tired! So I got caught up and now need to get some work and sleep done before tomorrow begins.

Sweet dreams, everyone! :cloud9:

Wish I could I say I can do any dance. Haven't even brought out the envelope with the records yet. And I was a Tax Preparer in my past life. I'm a procrastinator when it comes to taxes. I usually file an extension, even if I was getting $$$$ back. I'm sure it has to with doing everyone else's taxes, but my own. I do think I will do mine soon, so that I can have the $$$$ for the trip, especially since I now have a car payment. And I know I'm due a refund! :woohoo:

Trish,

You grab that Family Time when ever and where ever you can get it. To stay up with your brother until 3:30 AM meant you needed it. Both of you. Family is so important. Nothing better than "Thicker Than Blood"! Its so TRUE. Time passes, but it doesn't matter if you saw each other yesterday or last year. You pick up where you left off and continue the relationship, hopefully, and try to put the trials and errors behind you. All the DRAMA in a family doesn't mean squat when your at a funeral. Enjoy the time you have, even if its 3:30 AM. That must have been quite a talk.......

Wicked quick check-in here, sorry I can't hit everything I need to say to everyone - I hopefully will be back prior to leaving for the airport.

Pat - It is an all Disney travel agency - Kingdom Magic Vacations - they do Disneyland too!!!!!!! :cool1: I need to brush up on that part of the world because I haven't been since I was 10 years old. Bet that's changed a lot too!!!! Antkim is a travel agent for them and she is the one hooking me up - I have been telling her since she started with them that if they ever expanded I would soooo totally be into doing it part time.

OK, back from the quickest approval meeting ever.

Trish - my mother had 14 siblings - been, there, done that. I totally know where you are coming from. They are all in their 80's now except the youngest twins, one of which is my mother. I think there are something like 8 left alive - yeah, see, I totally know where you are coming from - I have no idea how many aunts and uncles I still have left living - so sad. I have a few close ones and the rest I don't even know. But you also should know that I was a 16 year late oops, so I am so far removed from that gneration both by age and by location. I have over 100 first cousins - I swear the whole damn state of Michigan is my second cousin or at least the Adrian area. I can't walk into a restaurant or swing a dead cat out there without having someone be my cousin. Not to mention my Dad's family who are also from that area - but he only had three children in his family - small potatoes comparatively.

I hope that everything works out and it's really wonderful that you can give that support to your Mom. I have a tough time doing it - my sister is the martyr.

I also know where you are coming from with your brother - during my father's last days my brother and I went the other way and had 8 hour long fights. Yeah, that was fun - so a long good talk would be nice right about now. Or a good dope slap for him :confused3

____________

OK - now what do I do for the next two hours sitting here anticipating leaving for the airport - some would say work - NAAAAHHHHH :lmao: - but yeah, I do need to wrap some stuff up prior to leaving and get some stuff ready for down there.

OK - must tear myself away from the DIS :scared:

Hey all, just wanted to stop in and share some good news, if spending more money is good news, I just found airfare on Airtran from Detroit to Orlando for less than 2 hundy a ticket, since we have to pick up 5 of them that is important. It would cost us about $400 to drive and pay for gas, plus another $84 to park at the terminal for the week, so for less than $1000 plus transfers I think we will fly. Just waiting to hear if I sold this deal I have been working on, it would actually pay for the flight, should find out today, then it would be much easier to book the flights. Just to be able to take the hassle out of driving to Florida and back twice in less than a month I think is worth the extra dinero, I also think it would be a much more relaxing end to our vacation.

Tom pirate:

Tom - Great news about flying - hope you can pull it off! It will be great for you to be able to relax and not have to worry about driving - especially on the way home. Going down is never that bad because you are so excited, but coming home is usually a drag.

CG - Hope your trip goes well - say Hi to Mickey for me!

Trish - Hope you have a relaxing weekend after your stressful week.

Well, I have to get back to work. I am working on a presentation for next week. I'm on page 19 of the powerpoint presentation and probably have another 10-15 to go. Off to Chicago again on Monday - Actually, I go to Deerfield - Sound familiar Tom?

OHJulie

Oh Julie, I actually used to spend a little bit of time up in Deerfield, back in my college days I worked for Walgreens and they are based up there. I have to agree with you 100 percent about driving, we are usually so excited about going that we make it no problem, but last time we came back from the cruise we got in at 3 a.m. and was just totally exhausted. Plus the way I look at it, this way my oldest might be able to only miss one soccer game instead of two.

Good Luck with your presentation, also CG good luck on your flight, and have a great time in the big O, love calling it that.

Tom pirate:

Tom - I knew you used to work for Walgreens - that's where I'm headed.

Anyone else SOOO ready for the weekend? It seems like time is just dragging by as we wait for the cruise!

OHJulie

Is anyone interested in sharing a van, limo or even a stretch hummer from WDW to the port and back? We are a party of 5, and a van will hold 10, a limo will hold 8 and the hummer holds 20. :cool1:

I figured if we were all coming and going to the same place, we could car pool. I think it would be fun. I would love to get enough people to get the hummer. Just think of the looks on the kid's faces when that pulls up. :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :woohoo:

Hi everyone

BLBCB , we would love to but we have the transfers. We did a limo one time inVancouver to the cruise and it was worth every penny.

I am going to go back and read through the past few pages tomorrow . I am so tired , my DM came to the store today and we were so busy , I made another mistake again today and accidently put 5 shirts in someones bag , OOOPS , the lady did call and said she had them . I was just so darn tired today . I also told them that I will be taking the summer off and let me tell you, I can't wait .:yay: Lets see 5 Gymboree shirts at $24.00 a pop , good thing she called back .

Tom , do you have Jet Blue near you ? We did get a great deal going down $79.00 . Delta was a touch more coming back at about $98.00 . Hope we don't get put on the no fly list now since we are flying to different airlines . A doctor up our way went to get on his flight to Orlando and he was told he could not board that he was on the no fly list , they would not even tell him why , can you believe that ?

Suzie , congrats on a great return !!!!!!!!!

CG , I'm so jealous , that is something I always wanted to do , I actually went to school for it . I would prefer to be a cruise specialists , but any travel would be fine . LUCKY you !

RubysMom , sorry about your Uncle , mine passed away 2 years ago and I miss him dearly , we were very close thou , he was my stand in Grandpa . I was 7 when my Grandpa passed away , I actually found him and went to sit on his lap , it is something that is so darn vivid in my mind still . My uncle John was just like him .

Now about the dieting thing . I am killing myself here going to the gym just about everyday . My food of choice is deviled eggs , and McKenna loves them too . Yogart , cheese and red meat . lots of salads and water . I am down 2 pounds since last week . WOOHOO . This diet plan has worked wonders for me and I'm not that hungry , oh , yeah , drink a fruit smoothie in the morning , it will tide you over for quite sometime ! I have to say I am now looking forward to the big fat sundae Susie posted the picutre of

O.k I have to head to bed now , it was a long day and I have the Easter line to set for on Sunday .
