Pat , I love it , your first new car ? We are only had 2 new cars . My Mom & Dad still like to hand theirs down to us after 4 years , I'm not complaining , we got a Merury Mountaineer last time , I like driving it much better in snow storms then the Impala.

Well my bad day saga continues . I closed the store tonight and ended up somehow only confirming the bank deposit for 1 register not 2 so it read all wrong tonight . I feel like I left a few things undone also, and I hate that feeling .I am taking 6 months off for the summer and may or may not go back . I will probally get bored again when the girls go to school .

Well I think it is time to end my day once agin and hit the hay . Good night all !

Mketting , thats too funny , you must have posted that right before mine . I probally should stop dreaming and come down to earth with the fact I probally should still work :(

Wow Mketting, the whole master bedroom. What an accomplishment. It took me 2 weekends just to move out of my master, without painting.

BTW, my son has left Amsterdam. He said it was like Las Vegas in the States. Everyone he met was there to party. He landed in Berlin yesterday and was off to see what was left of the Berlin Wall. Haven''t heard yet what he thinks. I think from now on it will be a history lesson instead of of one big party. He loves art and off the wall places, so hope to receive some interesting emails in the days to come.

Gotta tell ya guys - love ya, but we'll see each other over drinks of the day by the pool and that is good enough for me - well, that and the Roses, the martini party, the initial meet, and possibly the brunch...
Well, the Rose's party will actually be kind of calm. We really aren't as Pirate-y as we look on the board. In reality, we're pretty quiet, even DH. We're thinking we'll just ship a case of good wine and hang out on the verandah. :drinking1 We think there's a DVD player with Disney movies in the living room in case anyone needs to bring their kids.

We do want to make sure that folks know we're not trying to be snobs or show-offs with the suite. Frankly, we're delighted to have it and want to share.

A glass of wine, verandah, ocean view.....who are you kidding? Quiet? You've got a sense of humor :rotfl: . Sounds like all the makings of a party to me. Can't wait to meet you.

As to your suite, how lucky are you. I have a balcony room to myself and I think I'm going to be in heaven :cloud9:. You just enjoy every square foot and you have a lot of square feet to enjoy it in.

Wow- Lots to catch up on. First things- Suzie- our thoughts are prayers are with you and your family. We hope for her a speedy recovery.

Bathing Suits- ick! Ok, here is my problem. The days are closing in on me and I am stuck in a rut. I did finally get out to the gym yesterday after not going for some 2 weeks. It felt great and I just kick myself that I let 2 weeks go by. I "hurt" myself and was giving myself ample time to recover :rotfl: :rotfl: But I realized, that my excuses were starting to look pretty lame so I just sucked it up and went. I feel great today-BUT the scale didn't budge! I have nailed my problem on the head(wine and....)- I love to cook and look at cookbooks and watch food tv. I am always trying to make a better dinner than the night before-when I have time. I try to cook healthy, pretty much all the time. But.....the calories still add up even if it is healthy! Well, I should just have a piece of lean meat, a small serving of a carb and veggies everynight until cruise time. That is where I am bad. Breakfast, Lunch...I am fine. Dinner-watch out. It looks like I am at my last supper! Every night!

Since I feel like I am on the therapists couch- my other problem and this is a big one....I just had a pre-cancerous growth taken off my ear yesterday. It was sooooo tiny I would never have guessed it. My sister(a doctor) was sitting next to me at dinner on Saturday night and pointed to my ear and asked how long that had been there. Now- to know my sister is to love her. She DOESN'T doctor her family, not even if we ask. So for her to point this out and say that I probably should get it looked at was big. I of course went right to the Derm... Do you know what that means for me? No tan to make me look thinner.... I did get a cute cowboy hat for the sun, but this was a huge wake up call for me especially since we have 3 sun related vacations between now and June planned. I must rid myself of the cheese and grapes living on my thighs or face the consequences(to be determined later).....

PartyPat- LOVE the car! It is sooo pretty. That is the color of my car too. It washes so nice.

When I worked for GM I would get a brand spanking new car of my choice every 90 days and I tell you...you never get sick of that new car smell! My dad just got a new company car and I just sat in it the other day taking in the smell. I do miss that. Also-it would always take me a good 85 days to get used to the location of the new controls ect..and features. Just in time for me to turn it in again! In some ways- I LOVE having 1 car I can depend on to be the same all the time! HGP will need a new car soon( pixiedust: )hoping not too soon....but I love the accord and also the Acura TL. I know TT- I am considering straying from my roots-a nice offer from Cadillac will bring me back to reality. And reality is I still get a giant discount from GM for another 4 years.

Alright- enough out of me. I should just post little things more often, rather than my biography once a week!

Thanks for asking CG- my computer screen is still cracked. I called all over the other day and would you believe it is Dell that had the best price! I was shocked, but I will be sending it out to Dell soon. It has to be gone for 14 days max so I need to make sure I load my quickbooks onto another computer before I send it out! Or keep good paper records(which I am not good at).

Better go get the girls up and ready for the day! Have a great one everyone!

I beg to differ!!!! :lmao: I resemble this demotivational poster!

I totally think I am being paid to believe in my dreams - if I lost this I would go insane. ;)

I am actually dreaming this morning again as I polished up my resume last night and am writing a cover letter this morning - to be...................

of all things a Disney travel agent!!!! Just on the side - not giving up my job that allows me to dream. If they hire me, I plan on doing it about a night or two a week. Just to get the experience and begin to determine if something like this would work for when the kids get to school. I need to figure out what I am going to do - I have about a year and a half to figure it out. I really like the company - and they only do Disney. I think it would be very fun, a lot of work to begin with and scrapping may suffer, and the perks are enormous for being a travel agent in my mind.

PhillyJen - I am so sorry, but at least she saw it now. This is why I am a no go on fake tanning and have to be pretty careful out in the sun. I don't have anything yet, but have a spot on my nose that is watched pretty closely. It's just that I fit in a very high risk category with my skin tone and the 8 years of lifeguarding.

I just began Atkins again last weekend. I did it before my wedding and lost a lot of weight (but it came right back on during the cruise the minute carbs touched my lips). I am in the hardest days right now - the cravings are intense for bread and ice cream for me right now. But I am going to stick it out - even over this weekend during the travel - hopefully. It does a great job to get me started and feel better and then from there I need to do something about the exercise too. It's definately not a lifelong thing for me, which is not a good type of diet to do, but it does work for me to get the pounds off initially in a short period of time and maybe this time I can keep them off a little better.

Pat and everyone else - I got a phone call from DCL last night that acknowledged our fax - just like mketting did - but the bad news is that they are revising my request to be for 14 people as they say that is all the room holds. We'll see what happens. They reiterated what Michelle said about the 30 days out thing - they will begin working the requests then.

Pat - WOOOOHOOOO On the new Car!!!!
Yeah, red probably wouldn't have been good - our best friend is a State Trooper and he verified the red thing - said it just sticks out more and seems to look fast even if it's not going fast.

Have fun hotrodding - I will check the photo tonight.

You know CG- that isn't a bad idea. I might switch my WW plan to their core plan which isn't exactly like Atkins, but severely limits your simple sugars. I always get a nice jump start from it. I just have a house full of F******( I bleeped that out myself :rotfl: ) girl scout cookies and Kate just opened the Peanutbutter Patties! Arghhhhh!

A few things- If you have girls and you have a Marshall's near you, GO! I just went the other day and got Katie 3 really nice dresses for like $12.99 each. Kate is my shopper! She tried them all on like a trooper. Got her a little red sailor dress that was so cute. Unfortunately this girl needs nothing new. The girls prefer sundresses to capris for dinner. I don't mind, they are just easier in general for me. Less percieved wash, less thought that needs to be put into the outfit.... the works. Anyway- they had TONS of easter type sundresses as well as a few pretty formal ones in the $30.00 range.

Yup, it's sugar that kicks my kattookus every time - I LOVE gummy sweets and I can tell when I have been loading up on them by about day three after the binge. I also love carbs and beer so for a while that type of sugar is out too. Yup - I have a house problem too. Last night dinner was perogies - I was having stir fried sausages with brushetta. I actually have been liking my meals better (probably helps that I am cooking them in orange liquor :lmao: ). Thinkin I may be cheating there a wee bit.

Yum Stir Fried Sausages. I am so hungry that I just made my lunch. I got the recipe out of this months cooking light. Chicken, Edamame, green onions and red peppers stir fried with only 2 tsps of oil and some soy sauce. It is sooo good. And all on the diet! Thanks for the inspiration!

:guilty:SHERE TORTURE!!!!!! I just went to Trader Joe's!! I was in agony, agony, I tell you all. Man, I love so many things there that I can't have now - I couldn't even have the samples. I bought turkey jerkey, atkins bars, and veggies for me and that was it - the kids get everything else. I am proud of myself for sticking true through the trip, though. I was stocking up for my trip - I usually buy power bars and snacks (lot's of snacks) to take with me.

Told you guys I was a procrastinator and would turn it on in the end. :dancer:

CG - Good luck on the TA venture. I think you will be great! I have actually thought about that in the past. I love to plan our Disney trips and I think that it would be my dream job to be able to plan for others as well! Will you be going to the training that Disney offers - can't think what it is called - Disney College?

Pat - Love the new car - enjoy it! I am sure that you will find the Honda exceeds your expectations.

PJ - thanks for the tip about dressed at Marshals. I will have to check it out. We went to TJMaxx last night and picked up a peasant type skirt for my DD that I thought would be great for the cruise. Well, you can guess what she was wearing when she came down for breakfast. The yellow peasant skirt, a tank top and a sweater. She had a major meltdown when I would not let her wear it. AHH what a fun morning!

Susie - Hope your grandma improves. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

OHJulie

CG and Jen- If I can make a suggestion, get the South Beach Diet book. It is similar to Atkins but it is divided into 3 stages so you slowly add things back in. The info. in the book is really great and the recipes and eating plans are also very helpful. This is what I used to lose the 40 pounds a few years ago and any time I see the scale creeping up I just jump back to stage 1. It seems with Atkins that everyone losses weight but most seem to gain it back as soon as they go off it.

My exciting news is I actually bought 2 size 10 things, a skirt and capris. They were on the clearance rack at kohls and I thought what the heck I'll just try them on. THEY FIT!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: I was so excited I called my Mom from the dressing room.

These posters are my sacarastic side's outlet.

I agree mketting. I actually have the South Beach diet book. I really did gain everything back the minute I started eating full load carbs again back in the day. I have the South Beach book open at my bed right now and pick it up eveyr night - it's what caused me to begin to do this again.

I love that picture in the last poster. I am bringing my size 10 pants for tomorrow night - let's hope I don't look like an idiot in PI.

That is so AWESOME - you have achieved your goal!!!!! :cool1: :hyper:

College of knowledge, and yeah. Thank you! Sending my resume was such a joke - it's all business management, government, and real estate. My cover letter hopefully says it all and how passionate I am about planning vacations.

It makes me feel good to potentially have a springboard if I need it to turn into a full-time position. I really was dreading potentially setting up a consulting business for when the kids get into school. I have always wanted to LOVE what I do - and right now, I am not there so setting up a consulting business to do the same thing just seemed like hot pokers under my nails.

What I did love was when I would do constituent services for the legislator I worked for - so I really do love working with people and helping people achieve their goals.

Well, here's the funniest crossing fingers I have ever done in my life.

Suzie- Sorry things are so tough now.

CG- Good luck with this possible new venture.

My Father-in-Law is in town today so is stopping by for dinner. We love the man but you have never met a more self-consumed guy. The funny thing is he just doesn't see it at all and would be shocked to read this. He'll ask everyone's opinion about something, like where to go out to dinner, and then when we all don't agree with him he's wear us down until he gets what he wants.
Here's a poster for him.

Some good news from the hospital. Looks like Mimi's thyroid is off! I know that sounds terrible to be happy about it but it's better than what we thought! This is medicine controllable and can be the root of most of her problems. They are messing with medicine dosages and we'll see what happens in the coming days. Phew!!!

The weather was gorgeous today! I took this picture about 5 minutes ago - it was actually about 54 today! TROPICAL!!
DSCN3215.jpg

Ed loves to play outside with her!

Then we found the first crocus bloomed this morning! Tori was so excited and kept talking to it like a baby "c'mon little fella. C'mon out and bloom..." It was really cute!
DSCN3210.jpg

Ed took me to Macy's today. Found a formal dress (maternity) for $28!!!! I'm so excited and it's really cute! He knew how depressed I've been about Mimi and took me shopping! What a guy!!! I'm so excited about my new clothes, too! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Um, all you pirates pirate:or wenches out there...I think we should have a pirate saying each day! I miss Tom's QOTD (hint, hint!) so maybe we could have this.....
