Oooh, I am liking this discussion tonight :rolleyes1 :teeth: :hyper:  :drinking1

OK - They have been ordered and have an estimated arrival date of March 6th.

Suzie, I need to talk to you via PM about it. I'll send one off right now.

ohsodisney, thanks for adding us to your ressie. It will be coool!!! We just were a little worried about what we should do that night since the kids will be exhausted from the flight - I promise nothing when it comes to their manners that night.

PJ - please come play more often - how's the computer? I also haven't forgotten about the bracelet, but haven't figured out what to order yet.

You all won't believe the blond move I did today (or maybe you will). I set my alarm, woke up, but kept hitting snooze because I was exhausted for some reason - I mean really really tired, I finally get up and take my shower, get out, and wake my husband because by that time he needs to get up too. He asks, "honey, what time is it?" - I say "well, it's......" and look at the cable box to get the time - OH MY GOD! I set my alarm for a full hour prior to the time I need to get up - I totally screwed up! I was up at 5 am, not 6 am!!!! I am not the type of sleeper who can just hop back in bed at this point and go to sleep - so I laid there and fumed for an hour. Let's just say I am an idiot, and now am wiped out more than I normally am at this time of night.

CG ,Oh my , table manners , don't worry mine are not very good either LOL. Funny I mentioned that . When we were on the Costa cruise , my sailing mate mentioned to me " Did you notice how many times the waiter came over and scrapped the table off under your plate? " Plus I saw a huge dish of those candy coated chocolates near the waiters station , I asked " Would you terribly mind if I have them? " , needless to say he brought me over the entire dish , I then decided to pocket a few for the room . HEHE . hey I was only 22. Now you are probally thinking if you did the right thing booking dinner with us . No , honestly I'm not that bad but I'm sure my girls will be tired after a day at Disney , so the kids can join eachother under the table .

Your too funny . I did something similar with time once . We were at Paradise Island for a week and I was up for a few days in a row , I was just so excited to be there , once again I was only 20 . I finally did fall asleep , when I woke up I went outside to a bench near the road and waited for the sun to come up . A guy passed by and asked " Hey Mon , what r u doing here at this time ? I said waiting for the beach to open , he said " You will have a long wait, it is 1:00 AM . :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I have many more blonde stories , I tell you guys later , one especially stupid and very embarassing .

...please feel free...
AAAARRRRR!! She's offering a Free Feel!!! AAAARRRRRR!!!! :cool1:

The Pirate pirate:

Oh, stop. There's no such thing as a free feel. Besides, this is the same girl that asked what to do with "the dangly thing".

CG, dahling, we gotta talk. Honestly, how did you ever have 2 kids without knowing what to do with the dangly thing?

The Wench. :coffee:

Mornin'

Oh man, - nice wake up call here, The Wench!!! :lmao:

I am joining the ranks of people with their suitcases out - I picked up an awesome Samsonite huge one yesterday on Clearance and some sunburn relief jell on clearance (wonder why that was on clearance up here in this balmy 12 degree weather :confused3 ). The packing has begun. Made all the easier since I had to get out my shorts and shortsleeved shirts for this weekend :cool1:

(9 1/2 more weeks!!!!!! Thanks Julie!!!! :hyper: )

Let's all give our biggest hugs and good thoughts to Suzie right now - from a message I got this morning, it sounds tough - not mortal bad, but just daunting and overwhelming right now. They still haven't figured out what is going on with her Gram, but she still is not good.

Belle&RellasMom - one more week until we have to wear makeup every morning when we hop out of bed and have our floors vacuumed and the laundry put away. :hyper:

Suzie , Great big hugs for you from us , we are still praying for her . I hope things improve . :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

OK - the Palo brunch fax is off. I asked for 15 which is how many we have who responded to the offer. And no, you don't have to give up any reservation you currently have - you just get to pig out twice in a cruise! :hyper:

I really want to go to a brunch and if you we get this you all will be able to see how much I can eat at one sitting - it's a scary site. :scared: Keep all lose articles away from my plate at all times - they may get hoovered. I may be able to give Suzie a run for her money with her wing eating skills with my crab leg eating skills.

Now, I would just have to coordinate Flounders with this if we get it - I think it would not be a big deal - I think. :bitelip:

Crap! I hate cleaning my house and I look like this in the morning  Do you think they'll show up with coffee????? :coffee:

I'm sure that you assumed, since you got no response from Tom & I, that we already booked a brunch for our group...unfortunately we didn't end up with it on the same day! Some of us booked it 90 days out and got Monday, others booked it around 80 days out and got Sunday, and the ones who booked at 75 days didn't end up with anything. We are hoping to coordinate all of it when we board the ship...we are also thinking about cancelling the brunch altogether and just sticking with the Palo dinner...some in our group don't want to miss one of the "at sea" days by being stuck in a fancy dining room instead of hanging by the pool... :confused3 Not sure what we're going to do yet...

Suzie...hang in there girl! :grouphug:

Ohso and CG...Whispering Canyon is AWESOME!!! We've done it twice now, both times with large groups (three families each time) and everyone had a blast!!!!!

Cost of trip to Disney - a couple thousand bucks.
Cost of matching outfits for the girls to wear to dinner - less than a hundred bucks.
Cost of dinner at Whispering Canyon for our family of five - over a hundred bucks (lots of drinks :drinking1 ).
Watching Tom sing and dance to My Little Buttercup with a funky babooshka thing on his head - PRICELESS!!!!

Make sure to ask your server for ketchup, straws, and steak sauce (or at least trick someone in your group into asking for these items)...you'll have a good laugh at their expense!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Our internet hasn't been working right for the past four days...sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...it has been a huge pain for a junkie like me!!! I've got a tech coming to address the problem tomorrow, but that means sitting around for five hours waiting for them to show up!!!

Tom has been in Traverse City (northern Michigan) at an insurance convention since Monday...he'll be home later today...and with all the wining and dining with the customers ( :drinking1 ) he has been too busy to participate in these discussions...maybe by tonight he'll have time to get back into the swing of things...afterall we only have 66 more days until we sail!!!!!!! :boat: :boat: :boat:

Personally, I would give up dinner to have brunch. Paul and I are huge brunch fans wherever we are - we love to eat like pigs and mix breakfast with lunch, two of my favorite meals of the day, and those crab legs are what are getting me. I do worry about giving up sea day time too, but I am normally a lobster by day two anyways - so it should be all good.

I just checked in with another meet thread and lurked a little - they have like 20 meets scheduled - there are over 100 DIS'rs on their cruise. Gotta tell ya guys - love ya, but we'll see each other over drinks of the day by the pool and that is good enough for me - well, that and the Roses, the martini party, the initial meet, and possibly the brunch - OK, maybe we're no better. :grouphug:

OK - two updates for you all. (aren't you glad I have nothing better to do than to monitor the boards for you all :rotfl: )

1) The cruise docs are now on-line and you can fill them out and put them on file prior to boarding - no need to bring them to the terminal. You just bring one document with signatures on it. Go to the My Cruise page and check it out.

2) Here's a new link to download that massive packing list:

Of course I am biased but I have the best kids!!! After swim practice they asked if they could do some extra cleaning around the house to earn extra money for the trip. ( I of course hadn't started the cleaning I want to do this week yet so I put them to work. ) We have this system where they each get a few rooms to do. After they do the room I come and rate the the job, POOR-$0, GOOD $1.00, EXCELLENT $2.00. If they get a poor they can keep working on the room and move up to a good. They only get an excellent if they do an A+ job the first time before checking.

I got a new suitcase for the trip too, a nice 26'' to pack both the kids things in.

BRUNCH is absolutely my favorite meal to have also!!

Castlegazer - Did I go to the wrong page? The massive packing list you talked about only came up with 1 1/2 pages of tips. Is this the right Excel document? :confused3

Thanks

I'm having one of those days . The girls were eatting lunch and all I kept hearing was hide it , hide it ! . We they were putting their PBJ's under the table. They are making such messes today , I think more out of bordem. Sometimes i miss DH being home because it is so nice having that extra hand.
I love this photo !!!! Can't wait to jsut lounge around and have nothing to do but relax , no cleaning , no dishes and no laundry . :yay:

Who were you guys recommending as a transfer company from Orlando to the cruise and back?

I can't seem to find it in the back pages!

Go to the yahoo page and Suzie has a link there to the company she loves.

And hte link to the excel spreadsheet has tabs - look at the bottom and you will see a tab for hint, non-clothing items, carry-on, etc. It's a good list.

I can't believe I didn't see the tabs at the bottom. It is a great list. I'm not blonde, so I can't blame it on that. Although my hair is getting lighter all the time, but with white not blonde! My daughter calls them "natural highlights". :rotfl2: I guess if I've made it 37 without ever dying my hair, there's no sense starting now. The kids will just have to live with the "natural highlights"!

Barb - the company is www.happylimo.com

Sorry haven't been on much...just so much going on! Went to the hospital yesterday to see Grandma. Didn't look too great. (forgive me if I've already said this!!!!) From her blood tests they can tell that she's either had a heart attack or stroke recently. Her body is very anemic and her blood count is low so they gave her a transfusion yesterday. She's losing blood somewhere but they don't know where or how. They were going to do an MRI and Upper GI test today (yuck!) but I haven't heard the results. Every time I'd call the doctors were there and they couldn't talk or she was out of the room. I'd have gone to see her but I'm so tired today, it snowed this morning and it's just plain icky out! I hate going out in the rain! But there were enough family members there today, they didn't need us there too. We'll stop in this weekend to see her if not sooner. Most of our time will be getting updates by phone, I can see.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. I hate to be a drag on this but it's what's going on in my life.

mketting/ohso - can't remember who was talking about bathing suits but at Target today, they had some REALLY cute suits that were pick your piece/pick your size kind. Halter type tops, skirted pieces, and bikini bottoms, etc. REALLY CUTE - was very jealous because never in ten years could I fit into these!

Finally got all our tax answers and can get them done tomorrow!!! YEAHH!!!

Oh, gotta tell you guys this, it was so cute! Tori went to Grandma's bedside yesterday while we were talking. Took ahold of her hand and looked her straight in the face and told her "I have a baby in my belly". Grandma's eyes just about popped. I made Tori resay it correctly that MOMMY had a baby in her belly not Tori! We all got a good laugh at that! It was a pretty funny moment but really cool to tell my Grandma that she would be a Great Grandmother again soon and around her birthday time! Didn't have the heart to tell her that we were thinking of naming it Elizabeth if it was a girl.

Good night all. I'm beat and didn't get a nap today. Rain always makes me just want to bundle up in bed anyway. Yuck....on the other hand, my flowers are really coming up! When they bloom, I'll take a picture for y'all! I love the daffodils and tulips that come up....also all the dogwood we have in bloom are beautiful! Gosh, we have tons of flowers in our back yard that came with the house. Columbine, lilly of the valley (white and purple!) irises (light purple, dark purple and purple with yellow) mini irises, grape hyacinth, snowballs, crocuses....I think that's all of them!

Well I'm back.....I've been soooo busy at work and buying a new car that I haven't had time to chat. Buying a car is so time consuming. I must have sat in 3 different dealerships (3 different cars) for 2 days. Why do they make you wait for every little discussion of options or price?

And by the way....here it is.....its a Honda Accord EX-L

What do you think? Sorry, The Roses, I didn't pick the red one. I knew I would hear sirens if I picked red :car: I've never had a new car and I just don't know how to act in it. I feel like a teenager and want to go crusin'. I picked it up last night and just want to hit the open road. Driving to work and back (all of 3 miles) isn't getting it. I'm going to visit my sister this weekend, which is 2-1/2 hours away, so I plan to enjoy the ride. It has all the bells and whistles, so wish me luck in learning how to enjoy all the buttons :woohoo:

Suzie, I'm there with ya....hoping some pixiedust: comes your way for your Grandma. Tori reminds me of my daughter telling the grocery bagger that I had a baby in my tummy. He was all of 15 and didn't know what to say. Out of the mouth of babes.

Bathing Suits: My sister is coming for a visit on April 1 to go bathing suit shopping. We plan to fool ourselves into thinking we look good

I can't believe we only have 66 days. Thanks for the countdown, Julie. Hope your computer starts behaving itself :coffee:

Also, my granddaughter who is 7 would like to email others in her age group. I know I sent my nieces (10) email, and BTW their computer crashed, but if any of your kids in the 7 year old age group would like to email, please let me know. She doesn't have her own computer at home, but wants to talk via my computer. Please PM me as shes already composed her introduction and wants me to send it.

CG, thanks for the order of braclets and the request for Brunch. Since we do not have any reservations for Palo, at this time, except for the very generous invite of High Tea, I'm thrilled

Nice car Pat. We have 2 Fords right now, a windstar and a sable. My husband said we will never again buy a Ford. Always something going wrong.

I just finished my Taebo workout. I don't know why but some times the more time I have the less I get done. Even though I have the week off it seems harder to exercise since I am out of my normal routine. I did however have a burst of inspiration tonight and painted my master bathroom. I found an almost full quart of paint in the basement leftover from a sponging project decided to cover the walls completely with it. Kirk was quite sceptical at first but it Looks great. At least I will go back to work next week with at least something in the house accomplished.
