Cheesecake Factory is the best!!! :cool1: Kirk and I have been to one in DC, Chicago, LA and Phoenix but the exciting news is that they just built one near my parents house in Pittsburgh. We went the day after Christmas for dinner, we had to wait 90 minutes but it was sooooo worth it. I hope we get one hear in Rochester soon.

I'm home today with 2 sick kids. Picked up Meg early from school yesterday with a sore throat and headache. Well after a misearable evening I took her to the walk in hours at the doctor's this morning. STREP Throat was the diagnosis. On my way home I called the school nurse to tell her it was strep and she said Jared had just come in with the same complaints. Back to the Doctors we went, Strep again (2nd time in 6 weeks for Jared). I'm not used to this sick kid thing. I made them rest in bed for a couple of hours but now they're " BORED" it is going to be a long weekend!!!

Man, that is horrible. I have never, and my kids have never been afflicted by strep - but we get everything else. I am getting that achey, icky feeling last night and today and my son has the sniffles so I think its going to be a sick weekend for us too. Yippee. My husband is back on Sunday, Thank God. I hope you all get better fast!

OK - KOP mall really does rock - I actually have travelled for work down there recently - yup, and tried to tell Jen about it but she ignored me - I usually make a stop at IKEA at Plymouth Meeting - and I visit BJ's not that other club - but that is work. ;)

I can't say I have been to a Cheesecake Factory yet. I will have to try it.

Well ,DH just got a call to go to Washington for 3 months and he is leaving soon . My computer has been acting up quite a bit lately so I'm not sure I will have internet for much longer . Thats more quality time with my girls, luckly he will be coming home every 2 weekends possibally every weekend .The owner use to fly him home all the time but I think since everything including airfare has gone up I'm not sure that will happen :O(

CG - If you want to e-mail me about the bracelettes and what we owe you that would be great because I seem to be having no problems at all with my e-mail .

Have fun guys , Can't wait to met everyone !!!!

Hi Susie
Washington DC . It's sad I'm up so late . I got home late tonight and it takes me forever to wind down . You are up late yourself , are you East coast ?
Holly was still up at 10:30 when I got home . It was Bonko night with the girls and pretty much it's the only time I get out alone LOL

CG-I apologize, I didn't ignore you on purpose! I had just been skimming the threads prior to Chrismtas since I didn't want to get too involved if you know what I mean. Now that HGP is involved, it will become all consuming for our family!

Yes, KOP is awesome, however, since it is "my" mall...you know how people have their mall that they go to since it is the closest? It stinks that it is my mall cause the crowds can get to be a pain in the neck. And it is so huge. My mom laughs at me cause I know the place like the back of my hand. She was making a joke about going to Cinnabon(we are both on WW) and I said-down the hall past Sears on your right..... :rotfl2: The nice thing about that mall is that it is Demographically laid out, so if you are in the Sears, Old Navy, JCPenney mood- you can get them all in the same wing. IF you are in the Williams Sonoma, Ann Taylor, Potter Barn mood- again right near each other.....then, if you won the lottery and were in the Neiman Marcus, Versace, Tiffany's, Cartier mood- you can valet park and NEVER have to mingle with us mere mortals at all!!! :rotfl2: TT and Julie- It is similar to the Somerset Collection in MI- but bigger....WAY bigger!

Oh and Bahama Breeze has THE best spice crusted Tilapia on Sweet Potato mash I have ever had. And don't even get me started on the Cheesecake Factory. All I can say is that would wipe out my entire weeks worth of points in 1 meal!!!

I was just at Ikea on Thursday. Free babysitting and cheap furniture-can't beat that combo! I needed a file cabinet. My goal for 2006 and pink pearl designs custom jewelry(my business) is going to be organization(and yes TT- a new merchant account)! I know that sounds pretty standard- but with something creative like designing jewelry-part of the designing process depends on a certain level of disaster....so stones and colors get matched up in ways I wouldn't have planned, but they just happen to be lying next to each other on my work table....BUT that doesn't mean my paperwork needs to be a mess as well! I have to get my textbooks out from my MBA and take a refresher course on business accounting(not my best subject if I might add).

My cruise Passporters came yesterday from Amazon- Can you believe I ordered 2 of them(one for us and the other for Mermaid Patty) on Thursday morning with free super saver shipping and they were on my doorstep Friday afternoon! Can't beat that with a stick!

Alright, gotta go- sleeping beauty is still asleep and soccer in an hour- so funny to go back and read my posts-that is becoming a pattern.

Have a great day Y'all!

PJ

ohsodisney - well, we're just 14 miles south of DC. You ought to make the trip with him and we could all meet up! Or tell him to just give us a call sometime while he's here and we could do dinner or something!

Sorry about the length of his time away. I couldn't do that! 2 weeks was enough for me! I'm sorry but there are just things we need our husbands around for....like hanging Christmas lights off the roof of the house! I don't even do stepladders because I'm so afraid of heights!!

Hugs to you all!

How's this for SOCCER this weekend...see if you can top this:

1.) 9:45 am Saturday...take Abby to her "Mommy & Me" instructional soccer clinic.
2.) 1:25 pm Saturday...take Sarah to her soccer game.
3.) 4:20 pm Saturday...take Lindsey to her soccer game.

After Lindsey's Saturday game, drive an hour north to Mt. Pleasant (CMU country) and spend the night in a hotel because on Sunday Lindsey is in a tournament with three games.

1.) 7:45 am Sunday...game number 1 for Lindsey.
2.) 10:00 am Sunday...game number 2 for Lindsey.
3.) 12:15 pm Sunday...game number 3 for Lindsey.

And, if they win, game number 4 will be at 1:45 pm.

Then drive home and get ready for:

1.) 7:50 pm Sunday...Tom's first soccer game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So that is at least 7 games this weekend, with the possibility of an 8th!!!

This morning on the way to Abby's class we had black ice to deal with...UGH! :scared1: I am a basket case in situations like this! And we decided to break in my new van :moped: (just got it on Tuesday and really don't want it crashed up when it is less than a week old) instead of Tom's 4 wheel drive Durango...not sure if it was a good decision or a bad decision, but since we made it to soccer and back it couldn't have been too bad! Time to pack now and get ready for the next game...no time to come home between the next two since SoccerZone (the indoor facility) is about 25 minutes away from our house.

Can't wait to watch Tom tomorrow night :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Hopefully he won't break any important parts!!!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!!!!!

PJ,

You got that right, in fact just finished packing the cooler full of beer for the wife and put a gallon of crown royal in the car for the hotel tonight. (I do share, where the Queen does not) I actually got hurt last year after just three games and could not run on my knee for 6 to 8 weeks, doctors orders, but this is a new year and I figure if I can stand on the sidelines and yell at my princesses, that I had better get out there and let them yell at the old guy. (I hope I wasn't just talking in the third person)

It should be a great time with all the other parents and her boy band coach and his wife, we usually have an awesome time. We have traveled to Dayton and Chicago for tournaments, so this is just one overnight and a little team bonding, or we could just look at it as preparation for the cruise.

I will check in later, I have to go put on my Kicking and Screaming sweat suit (that is what Lindsey calls it), and get going to Sarahs game.

Tom pirate:

Good luck at the soccer games! :cool1: Don't break or strain anything - any of you! Let us know how the weekend goes.

Holy crapola - is that what I have in store????? :scared1: My son is getting into skating - which is weird - totally long hours and if he takes up Hockey I am dead for ever seeing my pillow beyond the 5 a.m. hour.

Man, anyone read my tags - Tom - you have a fellow soccer wannabe here. I hope you do well tomorrow night (or tonight, hmm, forgot to check dates and times).

I play - well, until last year - now I am big sloth. Gotta get back in shape - gotta get back in shape - gotta get back in shape!

I played indoor in college when I wasn't playing outdoor - we were semi-professional in Atlanta. Yeah - OK - a long, long time ago in a glalaxy far far away!

OK - Paul comes home tomorrow morning - THANK GOD!

OhsoDisney, if you can still read this - PM me your e-mail. I have not ordered yet - I am allowing some time for everyone to put in their orders. I'll post when I order and with plans for what to do about shipping and payment.
I shoulda done this prior to the rate hike!
You're another Holy Crap - 3 months!!!!!!! :scared1: May the force be with you sista! Kiss that girl's night out goodbye! I am sooo johnsing for a night out and I don't even have a regular girl's night out - after one week - I NEED OUT!!!!!!!!!!! I took the kids to an eco museum today and had fun - but come on - I need adult conversation! (yeah, all you Mommy professionals can yell at me and say, "wah, wah, wah" :guilty: )

Hey - got my docs from Disney today!!!!! They had to go through a TA so that may be why I am behind you, Suzie, in getting them. But I am totally psyched!!!! :cool1:

PhillyJen - it's OK - you'll recognize me as the women who when you speak always says, "excuse me, did someone just say something?" JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

OK - that's it for today's installment of "for the love of God, will that chick ever shut up!"

Wish we would have gotten ours by now but then again, we just firmed up the plane and limousine service, etc. Hopefully will have them soon.... :confused3

So, my boys all did good this week. Penn State won, the Redskins won....life is good..... :cool2:

Night all!

ohsodisney (hope your still around )- By Bonko do you mean the dice game you play with 3 dice and rotate around the room all night as you win or lose? If yes, we call it Bunco here and tonight was my Bunco night out, missed half of it though. . It is so great once a month to have a scheduled "night out" to just relax and hang out with girl friends.

Well my Saturday ended up being different than planned or should I say back to as planned. Meghan had a big swim meet today and when she woke up this morning at 6:30 a.m. (went to sleep at 6:00 pm the night before) she said she felt better and wanted to go to the meet. Well at 7:30 we headed to the meet. Shockingly she did so well in the 100 backstroke she qualified to come back for the finals tonight!!! We were so excited because she was the only 8 year old to make it in that event (all others were 9/10) but that meant another 3 hours sitting at the pool tonight waiting for her event that is over in under 2 min.. OHHH the things we do for our kids!! Hope your soccer games went well Tom!

Meghan is the shortest one in picture.

OMG!!! This just came up on the news online after I posted the previous. How sad!

ORLANDO, Fla. - A runner who participated in the Walt Disney World Half-Marathon collapsed Saturday after he crossed the finish line, and later died at a hospital, authorities said.

William Kane collapsed Saturday morning, and was taken to Celebration Hospital in Orlando, where he was pronounced dead, said Gary Conduff, a hospital spokesman.

Conduff said he was unable to confirm Kane's age and hometown.

Walt Disney World spokeswoman Kim Purty confirmed that a man collapsed after crossing the finish line and that he was then taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

Wow Suzie! That is horrible news....especially as I was just hanging up with my SIL who ran yesterday in the half and my BIL is running right now in the Marathon! My SIL was sooo glad just to have finished- she said there were people WALKING the half marathon faster than she was running but she is a HUGE inspiration to me. We both started to train last January- but I got shin splints from trying to do to much too fast and she just kept plugging along and look at her now!!! My BIL is going to finish in his fastest time yet-according to the online tracking site!

That is ok CG- I am used to people ignoring me-I am a MOM you know! :rotfl2: And the good news, is that I will just keep on talking louder and louder until someone acknowledges me! I do love attention-as evidenced by the "flashing" episode! It was after St. Thomas-the Bushwackers at Paradise Point and THEN to top it off-2 for 1 drinks on Deck 9 for the sail away party!!!! Picture perfect day- good friends-its Yabow time!

Gotta run! Tom- I don't think there are any bones in the important parts on a man-as much as you boys would like to think there are! Take care of yourself!

Glad everyone is feeling better, and back to life as usual! Take Care
PJ

Goodmorning! :flower:

Suzie - I just meant I got that package with all the info in it like when to book excursions and the like, not like the important docs you need to bring to the terminal - I thought you got yours already???? Anyways, it was a nice surprise this weekend.

mketting - how is everyone in your house??? Are they feeling better?

TT - You must check in!

Nope, we haven't got anything yet. I'be been perusing (big word of the day!) my DCL passporter again re: shorexs. Still undecided because nothing is really JUST what we want. But we really need to sit down and have uninterrupted time to go over them together.

Tom/Julie - How did the weekend go???? We're all so curious!!!

Partypat - how's the water situation there? Haven't watched the news lately, so don't know what's going on out that way.....

Hello to all and goodbye to all! Must go pick up Her Highness from school....C 'YA!
