Let me know some more about St. Maartin...We aren't sure what we plan to do in St. Maartin. My sister has the young ones so she is pretty limited. What is the best place to go for a great beach experience there? Should they plan on Trunk Bay or is there something "better". ( My sister plans to do Coral World and Coki Beach in St. Thomas. We are doing Capt. Nautica)

It was 5 degrees here this morning!!!!!!! Your picture was great party pat but seeing live, growing blooming things was depressing. I wouldn't mind the snow if I new it would all disappear Dec. 26.

Ohsodisney- We did Lights on the Lake the day Thanksgiving night. It was a great way to get the season started.

As I asked before, does anyone know anything about it being the last days of Carnivale on St. Martin? The website for St. Martin mentions it, but doesn't give any specifics, such as the date, but I'm sure its happening around the time we are there.

And sorry about the HUGE picture and email. I was just SO excited about my new Flamingo. I've told my friends and family that I only want unique flamingos after being overrun with every flamingo you can find on the open market, and this was a unique one.

Mketting: Plants are still growing here, but I'm starting to see the weak ones perish SLOWLY and die. Maybe its better to watch them go quickly. Tonight its supposed to get down into the high 20's. They'll probably be goners by daylight. Nothing worse than a slow death in the garden.

CG: I know what your going through as to the bedwetting. Been there, done that. You just have to let it run its course. Some children have a problem for a very short time and others seem to last forever. Wish I had the option of pullups when my children were growing up. But each to their own. You handle things as they happen, and do what you think is best.

As to all you sickies, it hasn't hit the West Coast yet, but I'll warn everyone.

My company and I and my coworkers (theres only 3 of us in my office) had our Christmas party for all our clients tonight. We had it in a tasting room on the square of my town. Amazing how many clients showed up. Guess it was the right time of the week. We ran out of appetizers early and I think everyone was enjoying the wine by the end of the night. Hopefully, they will bring me their next deal. Nothing like living in a small town to bring out the best of all intentions of a posperous new year.

BellandRella'sDad: I also thought you HAD your own boat. What a great thing that would have been. I was getting ready to ask how may people you could fit on it and having dreams of sailing into the sunset. I have a friend whose home for holidays who is a captain and hires himself out to sail other peoples dreams (namely the rich). I asked him if he could recommend anyone on St. Thomas or St. Martin that would take my family (14) for the day on a personal sail around the islands. I haven't got his reply yet, but I'll let y'all know when I do. I've heard the daysails are fantastic if you have the option of telling the captain where you want to go and not be a the mercy of a planned sail.

Still haven't figured out how to reduce my pictures. Help?

Well I must say I am somewhat of a mess today . It started when we arrived home from our cruise . I started getting a rash about 2 days after being home . It is more confined to my stomach back and chest , it itched like Hell  . I have heard many great diagonsis on what I may have buy I have decided today to try again to get into the Doctors . I had an appointment but we were down to 1 car because the darn SUV has been in the shop AGAIN !

I have visited St Thomas and St Maarten 6 times and decided this time we are going to Coral World for the girls then heading to either Megans or Coki afterwards . St Maarten's we are going to ither Cupecoy or Orient beach . We also plan on doing all beach days like many of you :sunny: :boat: :fish: .I would love to go over to St Johns again but I don't think if we hit Coral World we would have enough time .
I have to tell you I am looking forward to have 3 days at seas since our last cruise was only 2 and that wasn't very relaxing .
Has anyone else looked into 2007 for a cruise ? I have been looking but didn't book anything yet . I may concider just a land/sea package so my girls can enjoy Disney World more .

Have a super day everyone !!!!

I'm waiting to hear about the Mediterranean.

I was planning on booking a tour company for St. Maarten to take us shopping in Marigot and sightseeing and then head to the beach for a while.

We did the Golden Eagle Catamaran last trip and it was AWESOME! But this time around I want to see more of the island.

Good Going Suzie!!! Keep it up Pat. For others don't be discouraged, I have put things on hold until after Christmas myself. I expect to see lots of losses come mid Jan. from all of us.

Freezing rain is the weather here today. The kids were supposed to go to swim practice tonight but when I could hardly get up my own driveway I dedided we were staying in tonight.

how do you post pictures?

Hi gang, long time no talk! It has been crazy here, but I am NOT going to complain. As a small business owner, I just have to grin and bear it. I asked for this!!!

ANyway, St. Maartin....we had THE best day last time. We asked the tour guide about Orient Bay or beach and he said the water was too rough and too many ****ies...we had little ones ....

They took us to Le Gallion beach- near where Jay Leno's house is.... It was awesome. There was hardly anyone there all day long. They opened the bar at 11 am-by then we had all had enough sun. The only thing that made us a little nervous was that we for some reason trusted the taxi driver that he'd come back to get us..... But needless to say- it was an unspoiled, white sand beach with perfectly clear water. It was protected by a rock thing so the water was as still as St. Thomas(it was a SUPER windy day!). We are definately doing that again!

We are having an ice storm today and HGP isn't home from work yet-he's 2 hours late so I have to go pace...excuse me!

PJ

We got the sleet storm here !!! It is bad . It took me 1 1/2 hours to get home which it would normally be a 40 minute commute . I remember driving sideways a few times , I was almost in tears . There was a 4 car pile up and cars off the road everywhere , all I kept thinking was I wish I knew someone in Baldwinsville which was where I slide . When I got home I told DH I get the SUV for the winter . We have an Impala LS which is super low to the ground so any time I drove over a rivet the car would turn sideways . I have 2 words to say after tonight , SOUTHERN RETIREMENT !

Ohsodisney,

If I can get her to post-Mermaid Patty(will be on our cruise) lives in B-ville. We are actually headed up there tomorrow(AGAIN!) for HGP's family Christmas party. Cross your fingers for us!

Jennifer

Hi Jen

Just drive careful ! It was a horrible night last night . This morning is not much better and there is another winter storm watch out for Southern Oswego today which may drift Southward overnight . I have to travel into Syracuse once again this morning and I am not looking forward to the drive .
Good Luck , we will keep our fingers crossed for you , certainly can't miss a party :drinking1 :jumping1: :drinking: :rockband:

Have fun !

I am glad you all got home OK - HGP did, right???

We got it today and this morning I was scraping 2 inches of ice off my car but once I did that and got onto the highway things went OK.

I can't wait for this weekend.

Ed's on his way home!!! He should be here in a few hours!!! Tori and I are so excited! The unfortunate part is that he's leaving again Monday night. He had to drive a truck back loaded and will unload and reload to drive back down to Palm Beach. They promised that he will be back for good (at least for a while!) by Christmas Eve (Thursday hopefully!!!). As part of the deal, Ed got the whole week between Christmas and New Year's off with pay!!!

The weather has been pretty rotten here, too. Lots of rain and ice, not so much snow. Just enough to make a mess of morning rush hour! They closed school on Friday after calling it a two hour delay. They didn't get the notice out fast enough and some of the kids were on the buses to school!! The day ended up being 46 degrees and sunshiny! What a waste of a snow day!

I think I finally got my shopping done! And most (99.9%) of it wrapped! Aaaaahhhhhh.....finally feel like I can relax!

Ed missed Tori's preschool program. I thought they were just going to be singing Christmas songs but it turns out it was a little "pageant" type thing. All of Tori's class were shepherds! They were so cute! The two year olds were little lambs complete with headband ears! The four year olds were the wise men. They did have two children dressed up as Mary and Joseph! My gosh they were all so good!!! My big fear is that Tori would lift her dress and keep doing it because it got her attention. She started stripping during her Thanksgiving sing along program. And I found out after our church program (Ed had left for PB already and I'm in choir) that when Uncle Dave had stepped out into the aisle to get pictures during the program, Tori was left sitting by herself for about 20 seconds. Well, she took those 20 seconds to stand in her chair and flash everyone behind her! I found out later from a friend that asked me if she has an aversion to clothing! She's never done this before!! So, needless to say, the night of her program at school, I picked plain white undies for her (no Cinderella or Dora!!) so that if she did you really couldn't see her undies!!

So, we had no dress lifters, no cryers, and no nose pickers! Tori sang all the songs and did all the hand motions to the songs! She even was obedient when they were all supposed to sit!! WOW!! Who is that child and what have you done with my daughter?!?!?! I'll have to post some pics when I get them from Dave. My camera was taking movie footage since they forgot to bring a tape for the camcorder! So, I'm at his mercy for getting pics and I think they leave town tomorrow for Indiana and Chicago till after New Year's! They go visit family for two weeks - oof! Better people than me! One day is about it with the family anymore.....

Hi Susie

Thats too funny . Can't wait to see your pics . Kids are so funny aren't they ? They always do things when you don't expect them too :)
Holly and Kenna were in the Oceaneers talent show on RCCL and the kids did a dance and at the end he asked each kid where they were from and their names . The first one said Florida , the next said Ohio , then it was Holly's turn she said "Florida too ", she said "I live at Busch Gardens" , then came Mckenna she also said " Florida with Holly ", I had to pop up and say NOoooo , it's Ny , everyone laughed but it was so cute . Guess I have to practice and teach them their city and state better , God I thought they knew that :rotfl:

:rotfl2:

I am so jealous of that pageant Suzie. I really wish they would do something like that for our preschool/daycare center. Isn't it wonderful to see? My son was in a play a while ago and I was shocked - just shocked - that he learned the words to a song, did what he was told, and basically was a great Kid. He is a great kid, but you never know when the three year old will rear its ugly head. Us mothers are harsh critics but also dealers of love and praise.

I forgot to say, enjoy your visit with your husband. Doubly enjoy your week together after Christmas.

Some pics I got back from Uncle Dave from Tori's preschool program

Ed leaves at 2 am tomorrow. He's booked a flight back for Thursday but until his body is actually on that plane, I don't trust it! So, we might have a bit of extra time together after all! Yeah!

For all the dads that travel (moms too) remember that you are missed and well loved~~!

Night all! I'm exhausted!

That's sure a rough schedule for him too. Enjoy your time together!

Goodmorning everyone! I am a mess waiting for SW to open their fares for April. What is up with that??????

So, what the best gift you are giving this year????

Santa is giving my son his dream gift of a really cool Monster truck that he has wanted for a year now. I am also giving snow shoes to everyone - I think that is pretty cool.

Best Gift.....DISNEY DOLLARS.

I thought all the kids should have their own money for the cruise....so the Disney Store was an easy fix.

Hope all of you back East are surviving the cold. I saw pictures of the Ice Storm and wondered how you go about your everyday life.

My shopping is almost done, but lots of wrapping to do. I have a weeks vacation after Christmas. Yea Yea! I need some R & R.

To all of you you traveling, be safe...and to all of you that are away from your families and coming home for the holidays....enjoy every minute.
