Actually I was out of line - fiesty would have been nice. But, alas, it got me sooo pissed off that I actually was steamy. I was having a hard time seeing straight thinking someone would feel they were entitled to segregated cruising.

Totally unlike me and I apologized.

So, anyways, nice to see you OHJulie - what's been happening?

OK - so where were we, oh yes, welcoming Suzie back home with tales to tell:

Welcome%20Home%20design.jpg

So, when will you have a proper trip report up (and I say this with tongue in cheek as I have never written one).

I think I may be able to blame my mood on the extensive filling work I had done on my teeth this morning - I still can't talk right.

Hi Everyone

Sorry I have not posted here in a few days , I have quit smoking 5 days ago and it has been a little rough , nights are the hardest !!! I took the girls to Chicken Little today and they loved it , it really was too cute :) I joined a tanning salon , 7 sessions and I'm joining a gym juts to give myself something else to do . Since I smoked for 23 years I have to keep busy to take my mind off smoking .
Sorry CG you had a tough day , things can only get better thou !
Welcome back everyone .
I posted the Suduko puzzles , we are going to print some out for our plane trip , I hope it passes the time by faster .
Well I have to go dig up some dinner .
Bye for now .

Good going and Good Luck ohsodisney!!! I will be saying some extra prayers for you as you face this battle but you can do it.

Welcome back to the real world Suzie, glad you had a good time.

It really is amazing how Snobby some people on the boards can be. Yes, they are paying more for their cruise in the higher cats, but the cabin space which is what, 2,3,or4x's greater, that's what they are paying the extra for, not the amenities included on the rest of the ship. If they want to be segregated then Cruise on the QE2 or some other ultra exclusive cruise that only the very wealthy can afford.

I just read your posts castlegazer on the topic of a segregated beach. I see what you meant about being upset.

It suprises me that people take things so personally, we're all entitled to our opinions, even those of us in steerage.

Our entire group of 20 is sailing for less (about $14,000) than some people pay for just 5 people in a cat 1. Maybe I'm just jealous that a cat 1, or 2 or 3 for that matter will never be in my future.

Sedoku puzzles are now in our newspaper. Talk about frustrating.

Its almost Thanksgiving and I can't believe there is only 5 more months till the trip and yet I can't seem to get excited about it or maybe its my mind trying to stay sane??

I booked a 9 night/10 day Trip to WDW for December 2006 for mousefest and I can't even imagine how I will make it through 12 months of waiting for that!

I tend to just lurk so sorry i don't post much, i don't have all that much time to post but Hopefullly things will calm down here so I can !

Amy

Hi Everyone! I know it has been a long time since the Philly Jen crew has posted. I am really too tired to do so after reading like 9 pages to catch up! Welcome to all who have joined in the meantime!

I am finding that the more I check these boards, the more difficult it is to do anything else other than read, post and plan for the trip! Last time(May 2003) we were all so addicted, we ate dinner in front of the computer doing real time posts! Pretty funny!

Anyway, it is getting close. Started my official cruise diet on Sunday. I need to lose 15 lbs or they will charge me extra! At least that is what I am telling myself. 15 lbs is a very difficult task for me, but I figure I am starting early enough....

I wish I knew how to post pictures of my girls from our last trip. How do you guys do it? Off to the shower, early day at Rices Market-sound familiar to any of you Philadelphia folks?

I will check in again soon. It is already Christmas in terms of my business and I am terribly busy since my only employee is my mother and sometimes it is just easier to pay her to stay away!!! :rotfl2:

Take care.
PJ

Philly Jen -good luck on the diet I keep saying every day that I am going to get serious about losing some weight, but somehow I never seem to get on the treadmill and I work at home - so the kids Halloween candy beckons! :teeth:

Ohsodisney - Wow, that is great that you have stopped smoking! What a challenge - hang in there!

OK - everyone, thanks for making me feel better about my complete loss of all sanity in my posting about segregated crusing. I was wicked pissed off because I completely misunderstood and flew off the handle - made even worse because I have cruised in a suite and never assumed, nor asked for special treatment beyond my butler services and larger room.

Good luck OhDisney - would it help or hinder you if we asked you how it was going every day?

PhillyJen - that is soo funny bceause I too just got off my butt and decided, damnit, I am going to lose weight for this cruise! (I need to drop 30 pounds, but wish it was only 15). So I started to work on it too by going to the gym (that I have been paying for and not attending). I haven't played soccer in two seasons due to the kids, but because I was so used to having that, dieting does not come easy to me.

I lost 40lbs before our cruise in 2003 and have done pretty well keeping it off, drifting up 5-10lbs and then getting back down.

Well I'm up some again and I too just decided Sunday to get back on it. I'd like to lose 20 before the cruise. Exercise really is the biggest key.

Who on this cruise meet will be "THE BIGGEST LOSER"?

Anyone doing anything special for Thanksgiving?

I'm new to this forum...so here goes, might as well start sooner than later.
The challenge for the biggest loser and since my family and I will be going on the April 30, 2006 Magic got my attention. I've already started a regiment to lose 20 pounds, so any support I can get is helpful. Especially, if it has rewards, such as meeting new people and fitting into my cruise clothes.

Partypat - Welcome! Glad to have you aboard!

Looks like we have some motivated "losers" going on this cruise. I would love to lose 20 pounds but realistically 15 is more likely to happen. :bounce:

I did manage to get on the treadmill today - it's a start. I too find that in order for me to lose, I have to workout! And besides aerobic exercise I need to do some work with weights. I hope to get in at least two or three strength sessions this week. I do yoga now, but I just bought a new DVD called Iron Yoga. Should be interesting - I'll let you know what it is like.

Welcome, Partypat!

Game on everyone! The good thing, all of us "losers" will be happier in the end. How about every Sunday is the "Weigh In" and we all post our results, how much lost pounds or inches, for the week? I'm competitive by nature so the support and "competetion" would be a great help to me.

My inlaws called today to see how long we were going to stay for Thanksgiving. They already told my Brother-in-Laws family (their son) that they didn't want anyone to stay longer than Sat. morning. Have you ever heard of such a thing?!? My folks would never give me a time limit for how long we could visit.

O.K. - I'm in. Weigh in's on Sunday mornings. The competition will be fun and help keep me motivated!

MK - too funny about your in-laws. Don't you just love Holiday's? :rotfl2:

We will be having Thanksgiving at my sister's house this year. We all live in the same area, so we don't need to spend the night anywhere. I usually have Thanksgiving at my house, so I am looking forward to relaxing a little bit more this year since I will not have to do all of the cooking.

Sunday Mornings???? ARrghhhh! That means I have to behave for the weekend...that is my biggest problem with losing weight. I am good for about 5 days(you can guess which ones they are) and really really bad for 2 and so I spend the entire next week trying to undo what I have done over the weekend. I am a weight watchers drop out...tried everything under the sun.....believe it or not even exercise and nothing cause I can't stick with something longer than about 5 days! But now I have motivation. My husband is trying to lose about 20 lbs for the cruise, I want to lose 15! So the PJ family is in for a combined challenge of 35 lbs!!

Good luck all!

Can I play, too?! I've lost 44 of the pounds I've wanted but still have 26 to go and would LOVE to have them gone by cruise time! Even more is better, in my opinion. My weigh ins are on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays (but not this week - got to get back to weight from my wonderful food tour at the food and wine festival!)

We're not sure about Thanksgiving. I'm having family issues with the in-laws and not sure if I want to be with my side this year for both holidays, so we are stuck in the "in-betweens". Thinking about just having friends over and keep it easy. DH loves to do fried turkeys, so that cuts down so much of my stress.

CAN I JOIN THE LOSERS CLUB??? ::

I said I was going to start on MONDAY..... but guess what... its Wednesday and I haven't stoppped eating! I will check in on Sundays, and have a loss now for sure!
I can't let myself be the only "fat chick" (said in my best Lula voice) on our cruise now can I??!

:cheer2: Thanks for the motivation! Really!!!!

Hi gang! Thought I would see how everyone is doing! Wow! the group is growing strong. About 5 more months huh? We are gettign ready for ours as well, but Wilma took out much of Cozumel, so we are a bit curious how things will work out in 5 months.

Diets starting already and going in to the Holidays no less. Best of luck to all!!! DW is using the body for life method and in just over a week has begun to see results. And get this... she said she finds it strange to be on a diet where she is never hungry and feels she is eating more then usual. She has tried Weight Watcher, jenny craig, etc... and while successfully on WW she was hungry all the time. Opposite diet for me... I work to put on weight... Working a 3000+ cal diet at the moment. Gets rather pricey to eat all the time. :duck: So far 10 weeks through my cycle and only 4lbs to show for it.

Way to go Ohdisney!!! I quit almost 3 years ago! Stick with it and it will get easier. here is a site that really helped me, hopefully it will help you. www.whyquit.com. There is a support message board of this site as well.

Oh and PJ - What the hecks up with your wide out Owens??? I am so glad he didn't want to play for the Ravens! We may suck, but at least we suck as a team. :rotfl2:

Good day to all!!

BTJ-Owens is a disgrace to Philadelphia! And Philadelphia is totally prepared to suck as a team. They are a great organization and I think they will get thru this, maybe not this season, but he was such a cancer to the team and to the city of Philadelphia!

Anyway, BTJ-tell Jenn that I totally feel her pain with diets. I have done them all, been successful at them all(and then gained it all back on a freaking cruise!).....This time I am trying something new, don't laugh......Suzanne Somers diet! Very healthy, yet I get to eat enought that I won't die of starvation before the cruise! It has a lot to do with food combinations and I already see results in just 3 days! YAY ME!

YOu WERE at the same Geek conference that HGP was at and he spent all day sunday at the ESPN Zone watching football with his 2 buddies. He did leave his headgear at home so you probably didn't notice him!

I am just snacking on some celery(which is HUGE for me...cause I would much prefer Halloween candy). Yes we still have it because we made the kids give it up to the Halloween Fairy(us) and we stashed it in a place that only we could reach! Aren't we awful!

Excited for the Biggest Loser challenge, cause either way I will be a loser! :rotfl:

Ciao for now!
PJ

My fantasy football opponet this weekend has/had Owens on her team, with him out I was able to win my game this weekend. :cool1: :cool1: I do hope Philadelphia sticks with their decision, it sets a good example that "who you are" as a person is more important than just being a great athlete.

A few days of foul weather and all the leaves have been stripped from the trees. :sad1: It was such a beautiful fall this year.

Haven't had much time to post lately. Still waiting on our house so we can get started with the renovations enough to move in. Found an old house to rent for now though. Just had to share our weather here last night. We got over 1 1/2 feet of snow. :earseek: All in one night. I don't even live in the north anymore!! :cold: We now are in the south of Manitoba, so what's up with all the snow. :confused3 I sure hope we can still swing this cruise, because I'm going to need it before this year is out. Especially if winter is starting this early. All our winter boots are still packed and stored somewhere with the moving company. Wanted to be buying new cruise stuff, not new winter stuff.
:earsgirl: :earsboy: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce:
