...Many previous concierge DIS guests have arranged for their concierge team to help them host parties and it has gone over very well. You will not get our entire crew, probably only a dedicated few as a lot of people end up conflicted with one thing or another. If you like to socialize go ahead and explore this as it usually works very well...I would like to do the initial meet next to the Mickey Pool or on Deck 10.
We think an initial meeting by the pool is a great idea, since most of you have kids. Then, if anyone would like to join us later for "adult beverages" in our suite, we would be happy to host a wine and cheese party. We're thinking after the Sail Away party. If it seems feasible, I'll post the room number on the other site. (One of the cruise sites has a warning about posting room numbers on the public sites).

Ask and ye shall receive:

I'll post a bigger one over on Yahoo.

I have snow pics for you in a minute.

Cg- You may have already answered this but do you do digital scrapbooking? If yes what program do you use? I am soooooo far behind in my book that I think the only way I could catch up would be to do it digitally.

Yeah, It's digital - I was a complete failure at paper and then found digital. It's super easy and you can make mistakes. I LOVE IT! Look how easy that was. It took me a half hour. I used the template for her invitation that I already had made and just added the new pictures. I am a rebel and use Lumapix's FotoFusion (www.lumapix.com). Most people use PhotoShop or one of the other photo editing software. FotoFusion is so much easier. Check it out -the minute you do it you will be sooo hooked.

The snow is still in blizzard mode so if you all think I am stepping one slippered foot outside these doors to catch up with Suzie's little montage, you have another thing coming. It's downright nasty out there right now.

But here are some out the window shots of what I am looking at right now:

Do you all see how high the snow is piled up on the windows from the wind gusts?

Yeah, we're idiots and left the cars out:

Again, not stepping out these doors:

By the way Suzie, that may have sounded harsh, because I really loved your photos - how cute is she with that hat on??????

I really wish we could have gone sledding today, but by the time Quinn gets up from nap there is no way. It's also showing no signs of letting up.

PAHW - You may want to set that as after the sailaway party. Then all you late night eaters could get together. Us, we will be running from sailaway to dinner.

Didn't take it that way. Don't blame you for not getting out - yuck! The sun came out on us is the only reason we went. Didn't get anything today and is's already melting. Still no school tomorrow and unsure of when Tori's Vday party will be now. Bummer......

Hm, didn't think of the dinner aspect...YIKES! Well, not everyone can do everything....bummer again.....

We didn't either, dang nab it!

If a bunch 'o you have early dinner, we could think about a late night party, after we late eaters get done. We'd have to figure out some way to put lights out there. DUCT TAPE!

Pirates and their duct tape. A beautiful thing.

PAHW pirate: Aaarrrrrr!!

We're having steak fajitas tonight for dinner. I turn in June Cleaver when I get a day at home. I baked bread today - banana bread in the shape of hearts for Catrina's party tomorrow at school - figured that was something that the babies would like to eat. She is a carbaholic right now. Then I packed up little gift bags for the teachers and Quinn's valentines cards.

OK - so tonights my night for ressies. :cool1: :cool1:

Gotta go check that spreadsheet and match up some stuff......

Oh, you all were talking about dinner on the ship -DUHHHHH!

PAHW - you need not do this the first night- get the hang of the rythm of stuff (seems like that is always my theme song) and then see what you all want to do. There's no child care the first night on a truly selfish note.

As far as #'s for a get together I know my group has 20 but I am the only Diser so at most it would be Kirk and I at a meet.

Didn't think about child care - but we must have you there!

Maybe Monday? Late afternoon happy hour? 5ish?
OK, those of you that are bringing wine and Captain Morgan: raise your right hand, repeat after me. "I [state your name] promise not to drink ALL of the alcohol I've brought on the first day and to save some for the party."

We pirates will guard the booty....Aarrrrrrr!

A pirate cadet! And handsome to boot! They'll be many wenches in his future! AAAARRRRRR!

pirate: The PAHW lifts his glass to the lad! AAARRRRRRR!

:surfweb: The wench shakes her head and wonders what this board has done to her husband.... A week ago, he was normal. Now he's a pirate.

....I've told you already, dear. I'm NOT wearing that corset to bed!

:rotfl2:

OK - we made it outside - the damn white stuff was over my knees! :scared1:

Monday is a great night (says she who just printed off the matrix to be ready for three am :surfweb: )! Totally awesome - the Margarita tasting may be at 4 right before it! Oh, I see problems in our future fellow 4/29'ers!

It's casual at dinner too so we won't make fools of ourselves in our gowns!

Off to make dinner......... I am so dreading getting up tonight but I fear it's my only hope. MUST GET FLOUNDERS - MUST GET FLOUNDERS - MUST GET FLOUNDERS!

I know I haven't been here in awhile....we've been working on the house, remodeling. And also I'm the leader of a team contest on VMK and I've been keeping busy on that. Anyway, I knew the time to book our excursions was fast approaching so I went to the site to browse around and get familiar with it. We are supposed to book in the morning right???

Well, I was able to book! I booked our Palo dinner for day 6 at 7:30. Everything for Palo's dinner was available except day 5. Then I went over to excursions and the Trunk Bay Beach and Snorkel Tour is not available! This was the one that we really wanted to do through disney. I did book the getaway package rental for Castaway Cay. We're also planning to do the Paradise Point Tramway on our own and also taxi to Marigot on our own.

I don't know if I'm able to book now because it was through a travel agent or what? I'm so excited but worried now about not being able to get the Trunk Bay Beach and Snorkel Tour. Help me out here all you experts, what's going on? Why can I book? and how can I book what I wanted to? Will more be available starting at 3 AM?

Now what's going on? Okay, I went back to the Palo reservation page to see about reserving brunch and now it's saying there's nothing available at all for the whole cruise....not dinner or anything.

Nervously awaiting all your responses....

CG - Great pic's. Catrina is sooo cute! I think we all have the same picture of our kid's asleep in their highchairs on the big day!

Barb - we may have started something we may regret with the kids. I know they have been IM-ing back and forth today. Who knows what wonderful stories they are sharing about their parents? Seriously though, this will be great for them. They are going to have a gang to hang with from day 1. :goodvibes

OHJulie :wave2:

Hi Jewelgrrl- Awesome for you...maybe a little glitch in the system? I know I had to log out bc they were saying nothing available but when I logged back in, I was fine. I don't think you are allowed to hit the back button on the browser more than once...Whatever it is-excellent! We are doing St. John on our own. I know getting a snorkeling excursion would have been fun, but check out the other site, the Virgin Islands cruise guide for the ferry times and fares.

What is VMK? Sounds like you've been busy!

CG-you rock- I didn't go outside all day! I just watched my girls freeze out there all day! BTW-Is that a Christmas Tree in your pics?

PJ

Jewelgirl - If this is your first cruise you should be able to book excursion tomorrow at 3am. However, I think that you can book early if you are in concierge or you booked the romantic escape at sea. Either of those apply?

I also read a post from someone on the main thread that they tried to book brunch and it was full, but they did get dinner. You can only book dinner once and as soon as you have booked it you can no longer see dinner times.

Hope this helps,

OHJulie :wave2:

Hi all! we are GOing on the 4/29/06 Eastern Cruise, my, my DH and DD who is 7 yrs old.
Yup, No more brunch available when i booked earlier. Hoping to get a reservation once we board. This is our 2nd cruise and we were not able to do the brunch last time and we are really hoping to make it this time.
Bummer for 1st time cruisers without concierge or the romantic package booking, 75 days out is still tomorrow and brunch is NO longer available. I was able to book the dinner though, I think the dinner times no longer comes out again once you booked it.

Hoping to meet all you fellow 4/29 cruisers!
