We got a little taste of Disney on Saturday evening- Disney Princesses on Ice was in town princess: . The kids were in awe the whole time. Sydney was upset at the end because Cinderella hugged a couple little girls in the front and she wanted a hug too. I think the show got them really excited for our upcoming trip. At least I know then that they will both get as many hugs with characters and princesses as they want :grouphug:

The next one coming to our town is the Monsters Ink on Ice one and I am not sure about it because my son has not seen the movie yet - the Princess one was in Boston only and we just didn't want to do the drive in on a Saturday (45 minutes and I commute that distance every day to work).

They are always a lot of fun for us, thugh - glad you had fun too.

Hey Moms and Dads, I sooo need your help.

I am stumped but good on what to get Catrina for her 1st birthday that we don't already have.

Can you all tell me what was the best 1st birthday gift your kids received?

I am desperate - I mean to the point of wrapping up Disney stock certificates as something that I can get her that would be useful - now that is just no fun!

YEAH STEELERS!!

Well, at the party we went to last night I was the one and only Steeler Fan!!! Wish I could have gone home to my parents in Pittsburgh. Kirk loves the Browns and used to live in Seattle so there was no way he would cheer for them! I knew the post game results would be miserable either with a win or loss. Since the Steelers won Kirk was pouty and grouchy, if they would have lost he would have been bragging and obnoxious. I guess pouty and grouchy was better. It didn't help when I said 'Come on its just a football game." :confused3

Speaking of bragging everyone, are you ready for this??!!?? I am down 10 pounds!! :cheer2: :cheer2: The getting up early to exercise some mornings has been really helping. Halfway to my goal, fitting into a size 10 is my dream. Today at the gym after I did 45 min. on the eliptical I decided to do some weight machines. This complete stranger, older man comes up and says, "you can do more" and adds more weight, I almost pulled the sockets out of my arms!!!

CG- Can't think of anything at the moment but will put the brain to work.

COOL! My friend got us tickets to go to this on the 18th - alas, looks like Ed will be in Palm Beach, again....so we just made the day of one lucky little girl-friend of Tori's! Her dad is a single parent and she would never get daddy to take her to see it! So, Logan will be our little princess guest!

She loved getting books, especially ones that had little things to touch - like Pat the Bunny. She also loved the bubble machine we had borrowed from a friend for her party, but that really is an outdoor toy. The only other thing I can think of was a little stuffed Eeyore she got that she still sleeps with once in a while. At that age she really didn't "hype" for one thing. Hope it helps. Sorry.

Speaking of bragging everyone, are you ready for this??!!?? I am down 10 pounds!!
You go right ahead and brag! That is awesome! BTW, the 10 pounds you lost, I think I found them. Yup, and they want to come home! UGH! The last few weeks and all those wings, have really not been good to me. Gotta get my butt back in gear. But, how awesome for you!!!!!

SteveMed - did you get the invite? I hadn't heard from you or seen you on the other board. Just checking in case there is a problem.

CG- Not sure what kind of present you are thinking of but for my niece Jenna's first birthday I started a silver charm bracelet. Each year I get her a new one or two that represents something going on in her little life. I got her a pink elephant because her favorite thing to sleep with is Ellie her stuffed pink elephant, I got her a seashell because she calls me Aunt Shell.

thanks suzie.I got it.
As for the birthday,boy that's a hard one. :confused3 I'm glad I could help.lol

CG- When Jessica was 1 we got her a small doll that she absolutely loved! It was the perfect size for her to carry around. I believe it is by Corrolle and is a mini-corrolle. It was about 7 inches long - SOOOO CUTE!

We also did get a share of stock, but it was for General Mills. You know Cherrio's are such a big deal at 1!

We watched the Super Bowl Sunday, but being Browns Fans it was hard to be too excited. I did work on my door signs though for the cruise. I made three - two for our door and one as a surprise for my sister and her DH. They will be celebrating an anniversary on the cruise.

OHJulie :wave2:

CG- I guess I would have to vote for Bitty Baby. It is a great gift as they come with some neat outfits and it will last her until she is 5 or 6. Katie still plays with hers everyday. AND - when she gets older...Bitty's clothes will fit her American Girl! Just a little tip that they don't tell you in the catalog!!

Also- after Mketting mentioned a silver charm bracelet- something nice would be a name bracelet-I am SOOO SHAMELESS!!! A custom name bracelet with Cinderella's Coach and tiara charm(on the back near the clasp!)....here is a sample pic..... comes in any colors you wish!! But you'd probably want to put it away until she was like 3 or something!

Just an idea shamelessly presented to you by pink pearl designs!! :rotfl2: I'm not allowed to do that am I?

Have a great day!

Gee - thanks  ;) Get your photos up young man!

Michelle, great idea! I am going to go to the jewelers today and see what I can do - there's also the possibility of starting the string of pearls for her too. I also just have to say HOLY COW!!!!! YOU ARE DOING SOO AWESOME!!!! I am sooo jealous - a size 10 is my goal too. In some clothes it's only a size down, but in others I may have to give this a bit more effort..... :guilty: Dontcha just hate that. I have a chest issue too, though, so dresses are a little more challenging to meet that goal - especially since I just stopped nursing Catrina - I mean, like last night just stopped. So the deflation may take some time.

OHJulie - you know, I wish this girl would like dolls - she got a ton of them for Christmas and she pushes every single one of them away and heads straight for her brother's trucks. I do have a doll I bought her before she was born in anticipation of her first birthday, but obviously that will have to wait until she is older.

Suzie - you are going to turn into a chicken wing, girlfriend! Get back on the wagon missy! The cruise is only 11 1/2 weeks away. There is still time to lose 10-15 pounds by then! There really is!

How are the rest of you all doing today?

I have a mental siesta for all of you today (Tom, we need quotes of the day again too if you please):

Orient Beach:

www.sxm-beaches.com/

And a little more on L'Embouchure or Galion Beach - It's a large extremely calm eastern-facing beach past the Butterfly Farm. Chez Pat/Tropical Wave (http://www.sxm-restaurants.com/orient/chezpat/index.html) has chairs, umbrellas, food, drink, and outdoor equipment. This is a great place for windsurfing. The bay is protected and calm, but there are good breezes. The pictures is looking out over the bay to St Barts.

PhillyJen - sorry, I was researching and postin while you posted. I will have to look at the bracelet when I get home - but I am interested in seeing your work - so I will definately do it tonight! I do like the idea of jewelery as that is not something I ever got as a child - my husband is now making up for it on each occassion which is wonderful!

I thought we all needed a mental siesta to get us all back in the groove as you and Michelle are the clear winners in this contest right now!

I HAVE GREAT NEWS!!! At least for us anyway!

We paid for the cruise last night! You can now officially count on us five in the total. I gave the kids their vote, explaining that they might have to share a room for a bit longer (although we will get one bedroom made at least so they aren't sleeping in the laundry room anymore!). I told them to think about it all day and we would make a decision last night. At their age they really came up with some great pros and cons, and decided on the cruise.

So in case you forget because it's been so long since I've listed:

2 adults (37, 39)
DD 14
DD 12 (will turn 13 during the cruise, isn't she rubbing that in now)
DS 10

Any chance of an invite now to the other site?
How about the wrist bands? Did the order go in already? I'd love 5 of them now.

:jumping2: :jumping2: :jumping2: :yay:

That is AWESOME NEWS!!!!!

As I keep saying, I will be ordering shortly - like today or tomorrow. I am up to my eye balls in planning my work trip and trying to nail down all the little pieces for the cruise trip right now - but I will get to ordering very, very soon - so you're in!!!!!!

Suzie should be around shortly to give you an invite to the yahoo site so see our mug shots.

Oh, I am sooo excited for you guys! You definately need a vacation!

Even though I just put up thoses photos, I think I am still sold on paying for the See & Sea excursion. I really, really want to get to Marigot and Grand Case. I then can hit the beach in Philipsburg in the afternoon if we are all up to it.

STEVEMED, Hope all this stuff helps with your decision and plans.

I just re-reviewed some 10 pages here and had tons of stuff to say that I missed saying after the person posted - but, man, I must be getting old, because it has all vanished from my mind now.

Suzie, I think I missed responding to you the most - but now can't remember any of it.

There were also posts of mine actually missing - weird. I knew I posted it, no one ever responded and now looking back they aren't there any more. How does that happen? :confused3

OK - Last call for wrist bands:

OK - here is the order list (call out if I missed you or got something wrong):

Ohsodisney: 2 adults, 2 children

PhillyJen: 4 Adults, 4 Children

Ohjulie: 2 Large, One Medium, One small
PartyPat: 3 large, 9 medium, 2 small
mketting: 12 large, 6 medium, 2 small

carolina_yankee: 2 large

Lisa D: 4 Large
Mom2CobySyd: 2 Large, 1 Medium, 2 Small
BCLB: 2 Large, 3 Medium (again, guessing based on ages - do you think this will work?)
rubysmom: 4 Medium, 2 Small
jewelgrrl: 1 Large, 1 Medium
The Roses: 2 Large

If you haven't already done it, go to http://www.reminderband.com/sizingpage1.doc (requires Microsoft word) and test out sizing.

OK - end of today will be drop dead date! If we order now, we will have them by the end of this month (no more warnings about Chinese New Year in their site now). Then we can get them out to people during March. The it's up to you to remember to bring it on the cruise with you - along with the 50 million other things you have to remember. :guilty:

Alright you got me, I have been pretty busy at work, still trying to hire someone and going to Cleveland this afternoon, but CG asks and she will receive.

QOTD:

If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?

Or how about this one for SteveMed, BowTie and myself,

If a man is alone and talking in the woods, is he still wrong?

I will try to post from the Hotel tonight, but I am traveling with the President of my company, so I will actually be working all night if you know what I mean. It is only brown nosing if they figure it out.

Tom pirate:

Good to see you back. Missed you and where is your Queen these days?!

PJ - LOVE the bracelet! Do you have a website? I would love to have it if you could PM me - if you don't want to post it here.

I will be getting some databases up on the website. One of them will be the who's going list that CG posts here so that it can be updated there. Pictures are great everyone! Is there anything else you want to see there? I'm going to try to do a BL database so that Michelle can update it there - and still post the results here, of course! Easier tracking, you know.

Just got to work after dropping my son off at the SF Airport. It was a very early morning. Hes off to Paris and parts unknown and won't be back until April 18th . What a great adventure to be foot loose and fancy free. He has reservations at a Hostel in Paris for the 1st two nights, but after that hes winging it. Wish I could have stowed away.

Love everyones pictures on the other site. Its great to put a face with the conversation.

HLBCB, good to see your cruisin' with us. My 16 year old nephew will be glad to have more teens going. He was worried about being the only one, LOL.

STACY, STACY....COME OUT WHERE EVER YOU ARE. I know your lurking out there somewhere.

:lmao: Why, Yes. :rotfl2:

Hey, everyone! I got to see STEVEMED - well, you know virtually and all. Howdy to you! Your family is adorable - I love your daughter's top pic - totally like my son.

OK - off to get some work done.

Oh, I got my daughter some toys and some books and am now off to see about jewelery. Hey Beaddiva, can you PM me that link too - I have only been asking for what, like 18 months now. (if there were a toe tapping, frustrated smilie, insert it here now). How's this:

Nah, too pissy... hmmmm.... how bout this:
4.gif
Ahhh, there we have it!!!!

Partypat - I am so jealous of your son. What a great opportunity!

PJ - I also love the bracelet - could you please send more info. or let me know if you have a website.

Tom - welcome to COLD :cold: Cleveland. did you bring this weather with you? This winter has been so mild up until now! Don't wear yourself out "working" tonight! :drinking1

CG - LOVE the pictures! ;) The really help keep me motivated to diet. I printed one of the pictures of the Golden Eagle Catamaran out and I have it on the fridge. Helps to remind me that I will actually be wearing a bathing suit soon - In public! :scared1:
