Put us down for green bands!!! cinco de mayo is also occuring while we are all together!!

CINCO de MAGIC :rotfl:

Love it! Love it! Love it! CG.....you must be planning in your sleep or at least thinking on your feet. Count me and my family in....glow in the dark also sounds great. Their cheap enough. Everyone else on the ship will be asking where they can get one.

Sounds like everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I think Martha Stewart showed up at my sisters house. Her table was awesome. She even had stuffed turkeys and candy decorations for the kids to play with.

I hit weightwatchers on Thursday, so I guess I'll see what the damage is then. The Cosmos and Lemon Drops over the course of the weekend will probably be my downfall. They were sooooo yummy.

Susiemva: Speaking of Coppola wine. He has recently bought Chateau Souverain about 5 miles outside of my town. So I guess in addition to Napa, he will be making wine in Sonoma County too. I'm going to have to start keeping a list of everyones favorites and see if I can find them at the truckload sale.

Partypat: Mmmm...sounds good!

CG: Love the idea too! I like the glow in the dark styling! Great idea!

Okay, didn't get to post this earlier...only down 8 ounces (.8 lbs) but at least I didn't gain!! I did exercise before weighing in, so that counts for some of it too....still a bummer but I'm getting my butt in gear!! We CAN do this! I know we can!!!

Gonna try to get to bed earlier too. Not getting enough sleep can sabotage weight loss, too. Just found that out today. So, no more 1 am nights for a bit. Gotta get motivated!!

Nite all! Pleasant dreams!

Count my 20 in for the bands! Great idea!

With Thanksgiving and mega stess at work ( I think my supervisor read "Mistakes Managers Make" and somehow got mixed up and thought she was supposed to do those things not avoid them) I'm up a pound. For me I hope to just hold on for the rest of this month and then really kick things in gear come Jan. When we get some more results I'll post.

To top things off I majorly dented the front end of my Van yesterday. My husband was out of town so I had a day to prepare how I was going to tell him. Well, my DD, took care of that, 10 min. after he got home she says "Well Mama you might as well go on and tell Daddy what happened." I could have throttled her.

count me and my family in (not my whole group, not sure if they will wear them)so that would be 4 wrist bands for me and I love the idea of the glow in the dark ones...Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

You guys are sooo cool!!!!

So, everyone who has not already written how many they will need, please post a message as to how many for me to order. Please go to this page and tell me what sizes you will need too: http://www.reminderband.com/specs.php

Let's also open up further discussion on the message for the bands - I think Tom and Julie and PhillyJen and BTJ (even though he won't be getting one of these really cool things) need to pipe in here - they think in one-liners better than I do (but I do like the cinco de Magic idea too). Bands are little more my style anyways than a T-Shirt as I am actually a little more reserved than wearing a bright lime green T-shirt.

We'll get the lime green bands with glow in the dark writting on them - COOL!

OK - so I have a great idea on how to handle this. I will order them, then I will pm you all my reservation information and you can credit my room with the amount for your order. Does that sound good? I just did this for everyone for Christmas - I told my family if you are thinking about getting me damn slippers, please put that money to good use and instead provide me with a stateroom credit. :rotfl: So I am familiar with how this works. I will call DCL and see if this will work too. Then you all can decide whether or not I am turning into a shipping machine or whether we hand them out on the ship.

maybe that's my problem - naw, its just laziness. You all are doing sooo good. I work best under pressure after procrastinating - so I am letting you all get a huge head start then I will zoom to the finish line in true procrastinator style.

Ignore that last post. I'm trying to learn how to attach a photo. So bear with me.

CG...I'm in for the lime green bands with the glow in the dark writing. As to the writing....your right....we need to put out the request that everyone post their ideas....I'm not great at oneliners, but I'll give it some thought and try to come up with something catchy. As to the cost...however you want to handle it will be fine with me. As to physically receiving them. I think you handing them out on the ship would be a job I wouldn't want to have on the day of boarding. It would put a damper on being spontaneous and we also wouldn't be able to reconigize anyone in the terminal. Your idea of sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to you is a good one.

I'll let you know the sizes and how many I want and also post my idea for the writing.

- I can't see pics at work so I have no idea

I place photos in post two ways - I either will right click on the image on a web site and copy it and then paste it into my post, or I will copy the url, and then surround the address by [img ].....[/ img] (no spaces) - there is also a button with a mountain on it to use for inserting pictures.

I am blind at work, though, for any pics from site like imagestation or web storage sites. So, maybe his owrked, maybe it didn't.

Here it is...my weekly post!!! While I read, read, read these posts everyday, I just can't seem to get my butt in gear and actually type something!

Here is the re-cap of what has been happening lately:

1.) Went out to celebrate my girlfriends 40th birthday last Wednesday night, and after several cocktails :drinking1 I came up with the bright idea  of hosting a Christmas party for our group of friends...not a bad idea except for the fact that we live in a small town and our "group" numbers about 50 people!!! BTJ & PJ, you can probably expect a "drunk dial" on Saturday the 10th!!!!

2.) Thanksgiving was fun...it started out with breakfast at our neighbors house (in our pajamas)...we tend to do this after we have been out drinking the night before. Then it was off to my parents house in the Detroit area for some good old "family time"!!! Ate a lot, but didn't over-do it. I'm not joining your Biggest Loser Club but it's not because I don't want to lose a few...I just don't want to set myself up for failure...so instead I am watching what I eat and keeping my numbers to myself!

3.) Friday morning I got up at 4:00 AM to join my crazy friends at Walmart!!! By 8:00 AM I had already been to Walmart, Toys R Us, Target and the mall and was on my way to breakfast! Yes, it was crazy to get up so early, but I got what I went after so it was a successful morning!

4.) Friday afternoon we went "up north" with Pango and his Queen and their Princess...lots of snow up in the Traverse City area already...the kids had a blast playing outside, we had chili and drinks and played Catch Phrase. Fun night.

5.) Saturday we headed up to Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City for a winery crawl! It was a fund-raiser for the culinary school at the college up there. For ten dollars we got a wine glass and got to sample wine and macaroni & cheese (made by several different restaurants in the TC area) at the five wineries on the peninsula. What a blast!!! I think that Tom & Pango both called BTJ that night!

6.) Watched the finale of Biggest Loser last night and was bawling my eyes out! My girls LOVE that show so I let them stay up and watch the whole thing...10:00 is late for a "school night", but surprisingly the were not too crabby this morning!

As far as the bracelets go, count us in (2 adults and 3 kids), but I'm pretty sure that our friends won't have any part of it! Little Lady Lisa, are you in??? I didn't think so!

Oooo, oooo Julie, I have a total question for you. My mother is putting together the family newsletter this year and one of my several hundred cousins wrote in that her son married a total "Yooper" - what the hell is is Yooper???? We were thinking it meant an UP girl, but we are only guessing, she does come from up there.

Alright, you just dragged me into this whole thing. A Yooper is definately someone from the U.P. (Upper Peninsula), and the rest of us are Trolls (we live below the Bridge). Around here we have quite a few friends from the U.P. and if one of them ever meets someone else from up there they play the Yooper game, it goes like this.

"Ya Hey Der, don't cha know I am from the Soo", says Sven

"You Betcha, I grew up in Houghton" replies Toyvo

"Gees, you gotta know Pat Patakken"

"No can't say that I do, but do you know Bill Janohovich?"

"Is he from Pickford?"

"He has family there, but he is from Cedar"

"Oh I think I dated his cousin up at Northern"

"You went to Northern?"

"You Betcha, I played football in the Yooper Dome" (the only all Wooden Dome Stadium)

"I played hockey at Tech, do you know Steve Pozza?"

"Is he from Iron Mountain, because I know a guy named Cheech from there"

"Yes he has a deer camp next to ours in Crystal Falls"

"Hey doesn't he know Tom Izzo and Steve Mariucci?" (they all think that they know these guys)

"Ya hey der, our folks play Euchre together"

I have to stop, but if you were ever at a party with two Yoopers who didn't know each other, they would stand side by each all night and play this game.

Sorry so long winded, but this Troll knows way to many Yoopers.

Tom pirate:

:rotfl2: Oh my Gawd! That is exactly how her e-mail went. I mean exactly! She even made a six degrees of separation reference to Northern. It was the funniest thing for us Yankees to read. I am sure the rest of the fam will totally get it but we were about on the floor reading this thing.

Thanks for the lesson - man, I need to reproduce this little snipit and reprint it here - your eyes will definately roll.

Well, from one troll relative to another, thanks!

Hey partypat, your winery looks a little different than my winery does!!! This was the view from Chateau Grand Traverse on Saturday! It was beautiful, but cold!!!

Thanks CG.....It posted the picture 3 times. This is what the vineyards around my little town (10,000 people) looked like a couple of weeks ago. They are quite a sight.

I'm still learning (at work) about the computer. I'm a novice. But, I finally broke down and bought one. According to UPS tracking, its arriving today. I'm so excited. My son (25) is coming over for dinner tonight to hook it up.

I've been learning a little here and there at work, but I don't have the time here to really play. So watch out....I'm sure I will be experimenting on all of you. And hopefully, learning how to attached photos.

Hey BelleandRellasMom....I can't see your vineyard pictures. What do I do to view it?

PartyPat princess:

This is what Tom looked like after "tasting" wine for three hours! And this was only the third winery on our tour...there were two more after this!!!

By the way, Tom is on the far right, I'm in pink and gray, Pango is on top (with sunglasses on his head) and his queen is in the cool sweater. The others are the Queens sister, brother-in-law, and best friend.

This is what we looked like after all five wineries...
