Oh CG , I can't remember what day you are coming into Orlano , is it Wednesday ? Today is 7 weeks to go for us :yay: :yay: :yay: . It still seems so far away thou .

I also lied in my last post , I did buy myself the 2 swimsuits , I forgot and the Mommy top from Gymboree.

I think i am going to go ahead and wear the formal dress my neighbor let borrow , her ****s are bigger then mine, but lucky the top can be adjusted in the back . I'm still not looking forward to that night. I have no jewelry to wear with it so i may even borrow a necklace. DH and I decided to do the money crunch for the next 2 years so after this cruise no new stuff for us and no more cruising for at least 2 years. I am still besides myself on how much this is really costing us.

No gym for me tonight since my Mom and I walked the mall for 4 hours . She likes getting all her Christmas shopping done by April.

Suzie , I hope your Mimi is doing better , I'm so sorry you are going through so many ups & downs with her.

Rubysmom , I'm sure you will do great losing a few pounds , sometimes I find it easier to wait 3 or4 weeks before the cruise because I'm sure I will fall of the wagon in a few more weeks , i usaully do !

Good night everyone , hope everyone is doing well . Pat , I am guessing you are still in Santa Cruz ?

CG- I totally agree about the book being lost in the movie GOF. My husband who hasn't read that one yet thought the movie was outstanding and was annoyed I didn't LOVE it, but there were some key things they left out, like about Mad Eye Moody. Don't get me wrong I liked it but didn't love it. My sister's twins (also going on four) are wearing her out lately also. Ryan is particularly surly as of late. Hopefully she is going to come and spend a weekend with me the first of April.

Suzie- We head down your way next weekend to visit DC. We will be staying at the Capitol Hilton, just 2 blocks from the White House!! I got a great deal on priceline, $80/night. Any more signs of Spring down there?

I don't know what has gotten into Quinn, but it has to be the age. The thing about this age, though, as compared to 13, is that at least they have moments of pure cuteness and tenderness still. He's being so darn obstinate lately, though, that my blood pressure has to be skyrocketing. We had a knock down drag out fight this morning about pants. The kid didn't want to wear any pants to school - well, I am sure he wanted to wear something as he isn't an exhibitionist child (thank God), but he didn't want any pants he owned on his body. :furious: Then after that battle royale he tells me in the car how much he loves me. The fun never stops in our house. :rolleyes2

I actually loved the movie GOF - I hadn't read the book in a while and I fell in love with the movie for the movie that it was. Does that make sense? I just loved the cinematicness of the movie - I swear I haven't had any wine tonight. So I saw it three times. Now I am listening to it in the car during my commute. I reread the book after seeing it and now am not as into the movie - it kinda killed it for me, remembering how much was left out. But as a stand alone movie, I think its a fun ride. Same for POA - it's a fun movie if you don't think about the book.

Obstinate would be a good word for my nephew Ryan too. Lately he'll just say NO as soon as someone looks his way. When I was home he was naming the Thomas trains in a brochure then all of the sudden said "NO MORE" and simply took the brochure from me and walked away. My son has been driving me batty. We have been trying to get him to "stop and Think" before he "goes and does". Twice he got in the car to go someplace with no shoes on!!!!!

I know, I've been trying with the Pirate too.

I feel your pain.

Good Morning all, just checking in from the U.P. have to get home tonight because the baby turns 4 today.

Happy Birthday Abby

I took a customer out to dinner last night, and then he wanted to go to the local casino, of course I am trying to not spend as much money myself so that we have more for all of the activilies on the ship. So he pulls out a hundred and I put forty on the blackjack table, well lets just say Queen I ended up $100, so book the beer tasting because here we come. BTW my customer lost everything, and at one time I was up 210, but reality set in.

Happy Birthday, Abby! princess: May all your dreams come true today! :wizard:

You'll have to let us know how her birthday goes. 4, huh? Time flies, doesn't it? Seems like just yesterday we were chasing Tori in the airport 'cause she had learned to run so quickly. And yesterday we were kicking the ball around outside soccer-style and running. Time flies.....

 My baby is 4! I can't believe it! She's my baby and she is already 4!!!!!   :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

My oldest "baby" just turned 10 six weeks ago and now this...I don't know how much I can take! It is absolutely unbelievable how fast time really does fly! And, in a few more months the bread winner will be the big four oh (it looks better not to see the actual number in print, doesn't it?) and I'm only 14 months behind him!!! Man, we're getting old!

Bellaandrellasmom , I feel your pain . Our girls are also 4 and the thought of them going to kindergarden this fall is just killing me . I will have noone to cuddle with during the day! I'm sure I will be bawling my eyes out when they get the the bus for the first time . Having two leaving for school at the same time is aweful. I think this summer I'm going to try to do some one on one days with Holly & Kenna , maybe take turns dropping one with Grandma and Pop-pop .

Tom, thats great . My problem is not knowing when to leave. I was at the slots every night on RCCL and was up so many times but I just kept sitting there praying to the casino slot Gods to make me a HUGE winner ,but they weren't listening!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBY :cheer2:

4 Years old. I love that age - so cute!

My DS, Kyle went through the "no pants" stage - he only wanted to wear shorts. Then he did not want to wear long sleeved shirts to school. Middle of winter and he would take off his sweaters and just run around the classroom in his undershirt. I believe this was in kindergarten. I got to the point where I stopped having him wear undershirts just so he would be forced to keep the sweaters and sweatshirts on.

Then there was the time that we were going to Cedar Point (awesome amusement park) when he was 9-10 yrs. old. We were about 10 minutes from the park when we discover that he did not have any shoes with him. We had to stop and buy some before we could go into the park.

Julie , we have never been to Cedar Point my my sister takes her kids there every year and she said it is not to be missed . It is I believe 6-7 hours from us and we may think about camping near there sometime I'm not sure if they have camp sites near the park . Six Flags near us has camp sites so we are planning on going there this summer .

This is the story of my life right now. It's exactly what we have begun doing. He went to school today - 23 degrees - in a short sleeved shirt. I sent a sweatshirt in so hopefully his teachers will have better luck with him than I can.

Here is a little interesting tidbit of information about Cedar Point...

Tom and I met while we were both working there!!! We worked there for summer jobs while in college in the summer of '86 and the summer of '87!!! I worked on the Corkscrew and he worked on the Antique Cars and the Witches Wheel! It'll be a great story to tell our grandchildren someday! And it could also explain our "Disney Addiction"!!!

Maria,

What kind of camping? Tent or trailer? There is a campground at Cedar Point. The newer portion is "Lighthouse Point" and I would highly recommend it if you have a trailer or RV. We have a pop-up camper and really enjoyed this part of the campground. The older portion of the camp is closer to the rides and can be quite noisy. It is very convenient to stay at the Cedar Point Campground because you get into the park early and can go back to your site during the day to rest and eat. There is also a waterpark there, so it is very easy to spend two days. Not cheap though!

If you are tent camping there are other campgrounds close to CP - they tend to be pretty crowded, but you don't spend much time there.

Two other ideas would be Kellys Island and Put-in-bay. Both have excellent state park campgrounds, but you take a ferry to get there. Kelly's Island is more laid back while Put-in-Bay is a party island. Both campgrounds are on the quiet side of the islands and have great lake side sites.

Julie,

Do you still go there? I think that the Millenium Force is out of this world. I don't have the guts to do the Dragster, but my husband is crazy about it.

I used to be able to go on the Witches Wheel - not anymore!

Jessica and Kyle love Cedar Point. Jessica especially loves the Iron Dragon. She was just tall enough summer before last to get on it and I think that she made us go about 25 times during the day and a half we were there.
