HI all!! I just got back from DLR today. I can tell you all that not only are there no new quests in DLR but they are out of all the rewards cards except the pirate wells. so not only did I not get to do the new quests that were promised to be released by now (he said two weeks ago, that they would be released within two weeks) but, i also did not get any zeotropes because they were out of those for the animation quest. So no new quests at DLR yet and also they are out of all rewards cards as of today Tuesday. so i wouldn't go to DLR for questing unless you absolutely see that it has been released.

Hey, I was at California Adventure all day! lol

I was at MK at WDW yesterday. The only quests sitting out were the pirate quest and animation quests.

I am upset that all of the good quests are in WDW
I cant go to WDW because my dad gets bored when we hang out with my grandparents and it would be rude not to see them for 3 days if we were in florida so thats why this years family vacation is in california
and i hope we go to disney land

I already printed out the highschool musical in park quest and i have trouble figuring out what order the songs were in and i dont understand ANY of the questions to get the highschool musical room

Im really sorry to be a bother im not trying to be rude but does anyone know if there is anything else to do for vmk in disneyland?:confused3

(I am not new to vmk only disboards)

Thank you

ALL THE GOOD QUESTS ARE AT WDW????? umm the stitch card collection was available only from DLR. On a happier note I am sureby the time you go on vacation the new quests will be out.

Ant, I am sorrythat they didnt have the quest stuff for you, but i at least you had a good time and found a few mermaids?

Oh ok I didnt realize that
All i have seen for DLR was the highschool musical quest

Aww, thanks gnome! Yes i did have a wonderful time! Didn't mean to sound so negative about the whole thing. You know how it is posting things very late when you are tired from your vacation.:rotfl2: So i will go back and edit my op. I definitely did see some mermaids and i told them hello for you. And the churros were terrific!!:thumbsup2

We must have missed each other! :lmao:

I even asked and they said nothing new yet, but "maybe" (their words) by next week.

Uh... no?

I've been to DLR twice in the past couple months, and I have NEVER satisfied the requirement for the Stitch Cards. I even talked to a CM at the Silver Spur about the matter, and she agreed that it was incredibly hard to get the cards. The reason why we have a Stitch Hat here? Because you have to book a trip online. What is the minimum trip you can book online? A 3 day trip. As most people go to Disneyland for a weekend, rather than a week, it is nearly impossible to get the Cards. WDW, inversely, is more of a week-long trip. So, it's basically equal: go to WDW for a week, you get nothing; go to DLR for a weekend, you get nothing.

It's not like there is a thing that you print out, bring to the parks, and you automatically get Stitch. DLR only has Pirate and Animation: no Thrill-seekers. DLR has NEVER had a good quest. The best quest has been the Pirate Quest, but WDW gets that too. DLR exclusives? The Pumpkin is all that comes to my mind: sure, it's popular, but its a seasonal item. And you had to go to DLR within a WEEK.

So, this is what we do: Disneyland gets new quests, the Stitch cards are easier to get at DLR, and put in the Simba cards at WDW.

Ok get this! When i went to VMK central in DLR a kid walks up to the kiosk and has in his hand all three stitch cards. He holds them out and says to the VMK central cast member, "What do i do with these and what are they?" I had to laugh and think of all of us who will never get a hold of those cards and here this kid had no idea what he had!! :rotfl2:

i totally agree!! it is no fair!! plus i have a season pass to disneyland so number one i am not going to buy a ticket to disneyland for however much they are, number two my sister works for a hotel company so we get hotels for super cheap so i am not going to stay at any of the disneyland hotels which are $150+, number three i dont have any family and my family will not take a trip to Flordia to go to WDW and me being a poor college student i cant afford to fligh out there and go to all the parks!!

In the words of Napoleon Dynaimate....GOSH!!

I'm finding all the DLR vs. WDW debates laughable.

First, take a look at my DIS tag on the left. Where am I located? Pretty
much smack dab in the middle of the country. Those who are DLR locals
who don't book overnight stays would miss out on Stitch, but they were
able to get the 50th quest (which was NOT available at WDW) and the
Pirate quest (MONTHS before it was available at WDW).

FYI, the "good neighbor" hotels I believe were eligible for the Stitch offer,
so those hotels were more affordable, IMHO than the Disney-owned hotels.

Perhaps the DLR people are forgetting about all those Gold Doors and
Animator's Desks that were exclusive to DLR? And the Magic Mirror, one of
my favorite items, that's also DLR exclusive. :)

WDW's exclusive items were the Thrill Seekers quest and the Wanted poster.
I still think DLR had gotten more exclusive items, even so that the Holiday
quest had different snowmen. So the way I see it, DLR definitely had more
exclusives and incentives.

I do make trips to WDW more than DLR, but even so, it's usually just once a
year. I didn't go in 2006 at all. If anyone complaining about the lack of
items goes more frequently to the parks than I can, don't expect me to show
any sympathy.

This is correct -- I got my Stitch set via a stay at one of the good neighbor hotels.

While I adore the 50th chairs, this is not even a close comparison. The Stitch set has a trade value WAY beyond that of the 50th quest. Those who live near DLR will never book a trip that qualifies them for the Stitch set unless they simply and truly have money to burn. "Hey honey, lets stay at a hotel within an hour of home so I can get pixels." Haha, not happening in my house! (edited to remove airfare as Coasterguy pointed out that air is not needed.)

and the Pirate quest (MONTHS before it was available at WDW).

I will have to do some research on this because my memory is that it was the exact opposite. Am I thinking of a different quest that WDW had MUCH earlier than DLR?

I will trade ANYONE who takes me up on it: 1 set of gold doors, 1 animation desk with stool, and 1 magic mirror for 1 complete Thrill Seekers Quest.

I bet that offer will sit for a VERY long time. While DLR has received some fun items, WDW has the only quest that includes a room which cannot be received any other way. It is not even close to equitable.

...even so that the Holiday quest had different snowmen.
I love my gold snowman, but again, trade-wise. Trading a white snowman will bring you more "goodies" almost every single time over a gold snowman. I remember many people trying to trade a gold for a white in December and had difficulty doing so.

...If anyone complaining about the lack of items goes more frequently to the parks than I can, don't expect me to show any sympathy.

On this, I agree that locals at either park are lucky. The discussion however is not about locals vs. non-locals. It's WDW items vs. DLR items.

And again, I have a set of gold doors (which I traded for since it was before I started VMK), a magic mirror (which the Magic Shop has been out of for months), and an animation desk with stool for the first person who offers a Thrill Seeker set. The AK room is better than ANY item DLR has in a quest.

Ok get this! When i went to VMK central in DLR a kid walks up to the kiosk and has in his hand all three stitch cards. You should have offered money. That's how I got mine. I was at VMK and someone was asking about them because they did not play.

i have a great idea for vmk....well for the stitch stuff. i think they should have given them away when you do a disney cruise because those at set how many days and everything

"Hey honey, lets fly somewhere else so we can fly into our hometown and stay at a hotel within an hour of home so I can get pixels." Haha, not happening in my house!

You don't have to fly to qualify and it actually comes out to a little over $200. When this all started i actually figured out how much it would cost a local to get a Stitch set. I just checked again and it's $339 for a 3 day/2 night stay at a ecomony Good Neighbor Motel with a 2 day park hopper. The park hopper is worth $122 that you can apply towards an AP. If you do 2 adults you can get 2 Stitch sets for about the same price. Fortunately I was in the right place at the right time and got a Stitch for less. ;)

Ah! Good point of clarification. I thought airfare was needed. Still, could you see me explaining to my husband $200 for anything virtual? :rotfl:

As for the right place / right time: :yay:

Thanks again for clarifying as I would not want to be the 1 to confuse everyone.

Actually, I think the 50th Quest is more equitable as a trade than those other
items. Simply because at one time, people were able to get WAY more doors
and animator's desks before DLR started getting wise to it and limiting them.
While there isn't a guest room as part of the 50th quest, the pin, the chair
and the lamp make up for it to compare to the room, the pin, and the Kali
couch.

I would think the animator's desk or gold doors were about the same value
as Wanted posters. Magic Mirror I place slightly higher.

One set of stitch per stay nomatter how many adults

One set of stitch per stay nomatter how many adults

Probably one of those it depends on who you talk to or how you ask. There have been a few posts about groups getting a stitch set for each VMK player in the group. So more them one per room.
