I'm scheduled for the 4/18 wonder and no docs. I think I'll go through a different travel agent next time. This time I went through Expedia and although the price was right it's such a hassle that I have to call them for everything and wait on the phone for like *ever* to get someone to speak to. I just called Disney to ask about my documents and they said I have to call Expedia which I find strange since Disney sends the docs to Expedia.
We were amongst the last to receive ours, along with anyone else who booked the whole trip via Disney (through a TA or whatever). We did air through Disney, and that is what delayed ours.... just something to think about.
We booked our cruise through AAA and we are sailing on the 4/22 Wonder and have already received our docs, in fact, we got them about 10 days ago...I would definately give Expedia a call.
We're on 4/17 and received ours...so did others we are traveling with. Some got theirs before us so we decided to call. There had been some issue and they told us it was good that we called and they sent them out right away. We have them now but might not have if we didn't call. I would contact DCL or your TA. Good luck and see you there!
I called Expedia and they haven't received them from Disney yet. I won't make a stink until there are 2 weeks to go since that is what they say in writing.
Hi amtmommy~ DVC is usually late sending docs out. They usually arrive 2 weeks before. Rae is still waiting too. We booked with a TA this time & they said they haven't received them from Disney either. They normally send them out 2 weeks ahead of time, so they don't get lost. I'm not worried. Just a bunch of paper cards...As long as the ressie is confirmed & paid for, you can dup the docs at Port if need be.
Anyone going on the 4/17 that hasn't checked into our cruise meet thread- please come on over. We have a really nice group going & would love to meet you! Beware- Rae the royal shrimp queen & her subjects are aboard. You'll have to be quick if you want any!
No docs here either. Spoke with MouseEars Vacations and they said to expect them about 2 weeks out. I'm not worried. Our agent Coleen has been great thus far!
But it does add to the excitement, makes it seem more real, etc. There's a bit to read through and it includes dress/packing recommendations, childrens programs, restaurants and such.
If you are leaving several days prior, such as going to WDW, you do want to have them before you leave if you can. I read somewhere here that if you don't have them you can still fill out the paperwork at the port, but I would rather have everything filled out and just board the ship quickly.
