hey i just wanted to let you know that in epcot they have a penny making machine in nearly every country. my ds loved getting the different "pennies" from each country. we saved a bunch of money that way bc it only cost 51 cents a penny and we got a bunch of souveneirs for him. :thumbsup2 anyway i just eanted to let you know about it since it is your first time going.
also dont forget to ride the monorail if you get there early enough; daniel can ride up front and get a "captains" liscence. it is pretty cool. if you have any questions let me know i'll try to help:goodvibes

In less than 48 hours we will be on a plane to Los Angeles.
This trip has been so long in the planning I can't believe its almost here.

We are lucky to have 2 weeks in WDW after the cruise.
I wish everyone a safe and pleasant journey to Florida. Can't wait to meet you all.:cheer2:

I don't have anything green to wear and I don't have any Crocs (yet):rotfl: but you should recognise us by our Aussie accents.:rotfl2:

See you soon!

Good Morning ....

Wishing safe travel for everyone!! Still hoping the weather guys are wrong and the storm will blow out to sea.

Looking forward to meeting you all on Sunday!!

Sun and Warm weather await us all.....

Sue

Well...... the forecast looks a little better this morning. Yesterday one of the Boston TV stations was forecasting where we live to be in the 8 inch plus snowfall belt. Now it looks like we may get 3 inches, then turn to all rain. They're saying it will "probably" be a mostly rain event in Boston, so that should not mess up the airlines too much :worship:

This time next week, we'll be enjoying a day at sea. Took a quick look at the weather forecast for Nassau next week..... right now it looks like the high 70's Monday and Tuesday (CC day). Looks like Orlando will be almost 90 this Friday and Saturday (won't that be a switch from snow?!?) and then in the low 80s Thursday and Friday next week. We may have a damp (or inside) sailaway party - looks like scattered thunderstorms on Sunday at the port - but at least we'll be on the ship!

Since a few folks are already leaving for Florida, I wish everyone safe and uneventful travels.

Ed

Yes, everyone have a safe and pleasant journey. I must say I have never paid as much attention to New England weather before as I have this week.

Signing off!!!!!!!!! On our way to the airport....Safe Travels!!!!!!!!!! SEE YA ALL SUNDAY!!!!!!

OMG ... I can't believe it's practically HERE  My day today at the office will be filled with all the last minute "stuff" and clean up/off of my desk. I've already dropped dog #1 at the "spa", dog #2 will be headed off to BIL's house this evening. Arrangements have been made for cats to be fed/watered/and checked on, lizard will receive his crickets  and the hamster will be delivered to his "handlers" this evening.

I think I'm done with the gazillion trips to various stores to get those last minute items. Kids are packed with the exception of jammies ... gotta remember jammies :rotfl2: I need to get my fingers and toes done at some point today, but most importantly I PRINTED OUR BOARDING PASSES :cool1: Boarding group A for my clan on both legs of our journey tomorrow.

Seems the weather forecast has changed a bit since last night here too. Still hoping for MORE RAIN and less snow :wizard:

I hope everyone has safe and uneventful travel and we'll see you all on SUNDAY :grouphug:

I have a couple of spare Green bracelets if you like

I guess those of us in New England should be glad we're not going to be trying to leave on Monday. The weather guys/gals are watching a developing system that could cause a storm bad enough to cancel the Boston Marathon on Monday. I think the only other time the Marathon has been canceled was in World War I. It's never been canceled because of weather.

Hi Ed,
A question for you or anyone that has been to Disney Quest...

I notice you have DS12, have you guys been to Disney Quest? My plan is to spend Sat afternoon there before driving down to port but just read a post on the comm. board that the place is run down and in bad shape. Should we not bother? I have DS9 that loves video games so I thought he would enjoy it.

Thanks

Sue

Hi Sue,

We have been to Disney Quest, but it was a couple of years ago, when DS was 10 or 11. We had a good time and I don't recall seeing things broken or in disrepair. But...... that was a while back. I did find the post you're referring to on the Comm. board. I don't know how much they're charging for admission these days, but it was pretty pricey when we went. Just in case Disney Quest is in bad shape, you might want to save that money and let your DS buy a couple of extra arcade cards on the ship. One thing we like to do at Downtown Disney is rent one of the boats for an hour or so. Our DS also likes to check out the pins at the pin shop. The Rainforest Cafe is a good place to eat and so is The Earl of Sandwich.

Since it looks like it's going to be pretty warm on Saturday, you could also consider doing one of the water parks. I think they're about the same price as Disney Quest, or maybe even a little cheaper. Since I'm sure this is a very busy week at WDW (Easter week), you should probably plan on getting there early, if you decide to do that.

We plan on going to Downtown Disney for a while and leaving for the Radisson at the port in early afternoon. That way we can get some pool time while it's nice and warm.

Ed

Sue, to add to Ed's suggestions they also have the Boy's Pirate Room at the WOD store now in case you still need pirate gear for the cruise. Also there are the miniture golf courses at Blizzard Beach - Winterland/Summerland and at the Boardwalk is the Fantasia mini golf course. You can go to the AKL and check out the animals on the Savannah.

Another cool free thing to do is to drive over to the Gaylord Palms hotel. The enormous interior of the hotel is set up like various parts of the state of Florida with the Fort from St Augustine, the Everglades with alligators, Key West with a small sailing ship floating in the "Gulf of Mexico" that you can eat lunch on. They have a small display of real gold discovered in sunken ships off the coast of Florida.

:cool1: 4 more days to go:cool1:

I just got out our suitcases. We fly out Sunday,I'm keeping my fingers crossed for no delays. I do see we are going to be getting some rain here in NY.

So how do you think the water will be on CastAway Cay? On the main board someone posted that the water is 75 degrees right now,do you think that sounds accurate?
