4/15/2007 Anyone?

Sue and Poohssmum,
First, hope you/your DH is feeling better. Yes, let's all get our sickness out of the way now. (I'm starting my Airborne soon......am I paranoid or what:lmao: ).

Second, doing the Cruise Doc dance:banana: :yay: :cheer2: :woohoo:
(my TA calls last night...right at closing time.....and says I can pick it up
tomorrow.....so I had to wait all night knowing they were sitting a mile
away waiting for me to come get it:yay: :yay: )

Third, yes, I was kinda hoping for all sorts of stuff in the docs.....maybe
the anticipation was just building waaaaaay tooo much:confused3 .
Maybe I should just stop thinking so much about the cruise, so I won't
have all these DISNEY expectations:mickeyjum :stitch: :dumbo: :tink:

Oh.....what the heck...I can't NOT think about the cruise. What am I thinkin??
:rotfl2: :lmao: Who am I kiddin'!!!

I'm just toooo excited (can anyone tell):rotfl:

Let's see.....see you all in 11 days.....(maybe 10 days for Cathy)!
Ada

I came across this looking online for what to bring for the kids in case of motion sickness:

Are there any non-drug therapies to try? Yes. Ginger root, which comes in capsules, powders, or teas, is promising. It has already been approved in some European countries for the purpose of relieving motion sickness. It is available in the U.S. mainly in grocery stores and health food stores and has no known adverse reactions. The biggest downside is that these formulations of ginger do no fall under the F.D.A. regulations as far as quality control. Nevertheless, the doses for a 3-6 year is 250 mg per day taken one hour prior to traveling, 6-12 yr is 500 mg/day taken one hour prior to travel and greater than 12 year olds would take 1000 mg/day.

I saw some chewable ginger tabs and ginger gum (medicinal not candy) at whole foods market...I think I'll pick it up for us. I have some Bonine but thats not approved for kids. Dramamine is but it knocks you for a loop. I guess Ill hope for the best with ginger

I picked up some ginger gum. I've never had motion sickness, but there is always a first time. I also have Bonine & Sea Bands!:rotfl2:

Kathy,I'm also taking Tylenol Cold & Sinus, Advil and a few other meds. I never leave home without a "medicine cabinet.":rolleyes1 I just hope we all stay well.:goodvibes

Good Morning Everybody,
Thanks for all the well wishes, I was in bed and lived on toasts for the past 3 days but finally kicked the flu symptons

The Boston weather this week is depressing, can't wait till we get out of this gloomy weather.

Just 10 more days :yay: :yay: :yay:

Sue

I agree....... 3 inches of heavy, wet snow in the driveway this morning. Hopefully it will warm up enough to melt it soon. I am not going to try to shovel this stuff...... it's way too heavy.

Ironically, we are having a new lawn tractor delivered this morning. Guess I won't be using that today :lmao:

Hopefully everyone will be healthy before you travel. DS came down with a nasty case of bronchitis last weekend and is on a pretty potent antibiotic, so he is getting better. Should be ok to travel.

A week from tomorrow we head to Florida..... it can't get here soon enough!!

Adding in my vote that New England weather is YUCKY this week ... and not looking better for next week either :sad2: Won't be any golfing for ME before we leave for vacation

Had a funny discussion with my DH last night ... he said to me, "What are we doing for Easter?" I looked at him rather sheepishly and said, "nothing". He looked at me funny and I said, "Well, I didn't make any plans because I figured we'd need the day to pack and get the house cleaned. Next week is going to be crazy with you working, me working, the kids at school, shuttling pets around ... " :rolleyes1 Then he said, "GOOD, you're right we will need the day." pirate:

We were lucky here in CT. We had some sleet and rain, but no snow! I really don't want to see snow now. It's cold, but I'll take that over snow any day!

I'm glad you're feeling better Sue.:goodvibes I had that a few weeks ago and it was no fun.:sad2: DD had it after me, but DH has been spared. I just hope we all stay well. I forgot to buy trip insurance before the deadline, so I just need to cross my fingers.

Ed, I hope your DS feels better soon also. With the weather so unpredictable in NE, everyone is getting sick.

It just occured to me today (better today than 3 weeks from now!) that I have a number of Disney Visa Credits on my Rewards Card and would like to apply them to my onboard account. How does one go about doing that? During the check in process or at some point during the cruise do I go to Guest Services and ask them to credit our account? Thanks guys....it's nice to have experienced friends!!

OK, who ordered the snow here in MASS???

We leave on the 13th! Can't wait! The day we arrive in FLA suppose to be 83 degrees. Much better than snow!

It WAS NOT me!!!! I'm sick of this stuff. At least it warmed up enough today to start melting what's on the driveway. We already have some buds on our lilacs, so maybe they will start to bloom soon after we get back, and Spring will really be here (one can always hope!).

Just give them the card when you check in, they apply it to your stateroom account!! or if you forget to (which I did on our first due to all the excitement)I went to Guest Services and they took care of it.

Hi All,
So sorry to hear about all this.....what do you folks call it.....snow???:cold:
You need to move out here to sunny southern California....it's a cool
75F today (not much humidity).:beach:

Do you all think Florida and the islands will be very hot and muggy?
I'm not worried about the days spent snorkeling, but WDW is going
to be interesting....just not sure how hot it will be.

Hope you are all getting over your colds and flus, and see you happy
healthy in 10 DAYS:hourglass  :yay:

-- FUNNY, REAL FUNNY!!!!
