I think I'm going a little crazy, I know that I've seen a list of travel books about our port areas for children on this list. I'm going to the library and would like to find that list ; but can't seem to come up with the right search tools.

Many thanks,

Beth

I think Lynne has the list somewhere on her website. The link is on her signature after all her posts...I'm not positive but I think I saw it there the other day when I was messing around.

Someone mentioned they wanted the "normal" princesses in a logo.
Looks a bit like a six-headed menorah. Was supposed to remind you of a crown.

---Simple thought to keep in mind:
"Disney Transport WILL INDEED get you to where you need to go - ON TIME"

"All other transport options will LIKELY get you to where you ned to go - ON TIME, without hassle" Need I say more?

Okay, I will. If you ahve a large party, YES, it can be much cheaper to book return transport on your own. However, if you are a smaller party, and on a time constraint ... be cautious of a taxi promising to get you somewhere ... put you in the cab ... then WAIT for more passengers to fill up the vehicle. Do you really want to sit and wait for more people to be crammed into the vehicle ... potentially making you rush, or be late ... for the sole purpose of making the cabbie a few extra bucks.

When it is just the two of us, we prefer DCL transfers. Your thoughts, opinions and fuel mileage may vary!
popcorn::

FYI: Concierge desk recommended that I cancel DCL transfers and book my own since we are flying earlier than DCL recommends. I was on the phone with her yesterday and had the $150 transferred to OBC. Dh said, "10 nights of Palo covered" when I told him. :rotfl:

We had a very nice experience with DCL transfers after the WB PC. We were taken to LAX hours before our domestic flight. So I wish that would have been planned better but it was fine....dh took a cab to In N Out and got us lunch. :)

...was under the impression that ONLY sit down / restaurant dining was included / FREE OF CHARGE.
:scared1:

...The next day, that other guest was seen walking from Goofy's, with a tray of chicken fingers!
:lmao:

Funny story! I can't wait to have a panini by the pool...

The Euro is doing another freefall. Good time to buy.

TFS! Good 411!

Is your young friend in your cabin or one nearby? I am thinking of door magnets--easy ones--pictures with craft magnets on the back. Would it be better to put them in your FE or on his (your) door?

Yes..this is the list I put together. The numbers behind each book are recommended ages, NOT grades....

Thanks for copying it here.....

There's one listed on the Website (one of the last pages, "Misc.") which has some books. Well, I copied it, so here it is:

Salvador Dali by Adam Klein (4-8)

Building on Nature: The Life of Antoni Gaudí by Rachel Victoria Rodriguez (5-8)

Isabel Saves the Prince: Based on a True Story of Isabel I of Spain by Joan Holub (6-8)

Diego VeláZquez (Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists Series) by Mike Venezia (8-9)

Spain or Shine (S.A.S.S. Series #3) by Michelle Jellen (Pre-Teen)

Kids During the Age of Exploration by Cynthia MacGregor, C. MacGregor (8-11)

Let's Visit Spain by Susie Brooks (8-12)

Shadow of a Bull by Maia Wojciechowska (young adult-seems like a classic)

Little Matador by Julian Hector, Julian Hector (Illustrator) (4-8)

Tapicero Tap Tap by Warabe Aska (6-8)

Three Golden Oranges by Alma Flor Ada (5-8)

You Wouldn't Want to Sail in the Spanish Armada!: An Invasion You'd Rather Not Launch by John Malam (7-10)

Happy Friday cruisers; this is day 50. I am off and working on the Disney service project with a friend. DH and I are going to Epcot the day before the cruise (anyone else who wants to join us are more than welcome) so am earning my ticket. Anyhow, we are making bags for an organization to gift clothes, etc. to homeless children. Its like a pillow case. We have a production line going making 40 bags. Last week was cutting out all the fabric. Today we are sewing up the sides. It reminds me of my FE production line.

Lynne--I think the only thing we really signed up for was Rome and still :scared1: about the price. I wouldn't mind changing our plans. Tony and I like to explore and I'm like Karen, pictures, pictures, pictures. Because we scrapbookers have to scrap it all!!!:rotfl:

There was discussion about DCL jewelry a few weeks ago ... I had mentioned Sterling Silver charms that I picked up while on the EB Panama Canal cruise. I picked up two of them for my sister-in law (one gold tone, one silver tone - but each as Sterling Silver). Unfortunately, I did not realize she wanted the Italiam charms (inline design, think). Here are the pics ... front and back.

BTW - Does anyone on this board have DVC points at either Hilton Head or Boardwalk? I have a DVC button (not pin) from each that I cannot use. Would be more than happy to drop in your FE, is desired.

Lastly, does anyone know of a WDW fan who will be celebrating their 32nd or 33rd birthday (on the cruise, or in the future)? I have a WDW button (not DCL, and not pin) for 32nd B-Day, as well as 33rd B-day (32 is rectangular, 33 is square). Again, I'd be more than happy to drop off in your FE.

Dh said, "10 nights of Palo covered" when I told him. :rotfl:

Love it!!!

This is a little different than the generic ears I'm used to. But it is great!

I love these too!

Us too, just don't tell Krissan :rotfl:

We too are booked through Disney but are def canceling. I bought a book on Rome. I am about 1/3 of the way through and convinced that we will be fine on our own. I am going to start buying all the entrance tickets soon. Ohhhh, getting sooooo excited!

Love these.....so cute!

QOTD: Who is your favorite disney cartoon character?

Tinkerbell!! I even named my husband's dog after her. I didn't know at the time that he was going to put her in retriever training competitions. It sounds kind of silly when they call out her name amidst names like "Smokin' Crop of Yella" and "Sir Brutus of Avondale." The kids all cheer her on though.

Just realized you said cartoon character. I guess that would be Goofy, then.

Dr. Dave is celebrating his 32nd birthday this year (in two weeks), and his 33rd birthday is next year! Although we both love Disney, we don't really celebrate his birthdays at Disney, because we usually visit WDW in value season before Halloween, which is my birthday. He does still get Disney themed cakes (e.g., Ratatouille, Buzz Lightyear) for his birthday though. Since we're getting married there in April, our wedding is going to be the main celebration by far. So, if no one else has asked yet, it would be so thoughtful of you to acknowledge his birthday in the FE.

I thought the DIS'ers would appreciate this:
Dr. Dave just bought his wedding ring, and on the inside, it's engraved with our initials plus the phrase: "To Infinity and Beyond!" :)
