LOL...

"A chivaree is a noisy, mock-serenade to newlyweds, followed by a party. Newlyweds are not properly accepted as a married couple until they have taken part in their chivaree." :rotfl:

We'll take the hall pass. Why, we need time to totally figure out what's written in the sky during The Lion King. :bride: ;)
Lionkg2.jpg

Some of the other adult couples will need the hall pass too...
14 days is a Looooooong time.
I wouldn't count out those cougars either!

PrincessMonkey

I believe a Chivaree also could include a token payment to make us go away,:rotfl2:
what is written in the sky is "..........$."
The adult couples may need to get rid of their teens 1st. and finally
Never ever count out a Cougar. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I would call and try again. I have found that asking to speak to a supervisor helps. I had an issue where I booked onboard reservations for only one person (as I always do to avoid a big out of pocket expense when I am already on vacation). However, they put both under just my husband and would not let me change one into my name so we could book two rooms on the same cruise. My travel agent told me no. The first person I talked to said no,but then I asked to speak to her supervisor and she was able to help me. Be super nice, explain how it really seems unfair and that you could not imagine Disney ever wanting to be unfair (you would never expect this type of behavior froma cruise line as great as Disney. Royal Caribbean, maybe, but NEVER Disney) and ask if they can help you. Works for me every time :)

I would love to know the answer to this as well. Does anyone have dimensions on the FE. Maybe I can make some before we get on the boat in less than 60 days!!!

Oh no! I thought the Secret Mickey deadline was today! I tried yesterday but did not have enough posts. Am I too late??

...I spent a good part of the day going to every store in the mall that sold jewelry looking for a cougar/panther pendant. I thought it would be a blast to wear one on the cruise. NO LUCK  Not even my zoo which has Florida Panthers had anything. Very disappointed. Oh well.

Kristi

Well you could use Disney's panther......Bagheera

I don't think I'll do the FE exchange this time because I don't want to take on more than I can do with this being my first cruise hanging with all of you guys. I hope you get enough for a second group though :cheer2:

continuing with thoughts to NEWBIES:

If anyone wants to be included in FE, but missed the deadline, we can join you together in a group. The caveat is that it you just don't have as many cabins gifting you, so you might have days when there is nothing in your FE. But you still can participate.

And don't be shy - if you would like to participate, just let us know. Post it.

A list will magically appear on the website with the information you will need about names & cabin numbers.

DisneyHeather and others - if you are doing SM and don't have an FE outside your cabin - the stewards will place gifts in cabins.

:tinker: Lynne

I am willing to be part of the 2nd group - even thought I am in the first group too.

Wow, this is awfully nice of you. I'd love to be able to attend if you can get it organized (no pun intended :goodvibes)

Kristi

I will put you on the list

PAM and I are interested in BUNCO! :thumbsup2 Sign us up. Is there a date time...should I be moseying over to the other web site to see, or has it been decided yet?

We did Bunco on the '08 WBPC and had a blast. Disney set us up in the promonade lounge (you are planning on calling group events, right?) during a period when no entertainment was scheduled there.

As far as the $ and cash prizes go, we just need to be discreet about passing it around. I seem to remember a cast member saying "I see nothing, I know nothing" so I don't know if there are 'gambling' issues/laws involved.

I like the idea of knowing one can just head into Diversions after lunch to pick up a game with fellow DISers. :thumbsup2

.

I missed the bunco on the WB PC - got the day or time mixed up so I have to make sure I make it to this one!

I will be bringing my disney games with me to share - I have 2 disney monopoly versions, disney appples to apples, disney pictionary, disney uno, and I may have some others I cannot remember right now. oh and I am bringing mexican train dominoes

What is a Christmas Organizing workshop? I might be interested.

Christmas Organizing Workshop will be information and help in setting up a Christmas Organizing Notebook to help you plan out your Christmas - no matter how big or small a celebration you want. My web site is www.christmasorganizing.com - check it out.

I do believe you can still turn in info - today is the 15th

I found some on ebay when I did a search for fish extenders and I think the dimensions were on a couple of those

A few hours ago (that would probably be 5+/- pages, I'm guessing) ... a few DISers asked about dining together, and wanted to know how to request this ability. Read on ...

1) Make sure you have the same dinner seating as your intended guest (both are first, or both are second seating ... otherwise, you will need to make this change as well).
2) You will need to link reservations together. To do so, for security purposes, you will need to know the name, date of birth, and DCL reservation number of the party with which you would like to join. It is suggested you share this information via PM or private e-mail ... please do NOT share this information on the public boards.
3) As a sample scenario, DISer "A" has reservation #1234. DISer "B" wants to join DISer "A". DISer "B" calls DCL (or their T/A - whichever has the booking). DISer "B" provides DCL or T/A with required information for DISer "A", as noted in #2.
4) If DISer "C" would like to dine with "A" or "B" ... simply repeat steps #1 and #2 - using #3 as a sample.

Remember to discuss (amongst yourselves) if anyone has a preference for a specific server, perhaps from a previous sailing. Please make sure DCL or your T/A makes a notation of this information when changes are being made. Each server has guests in the first seating, as well as the second seating.

Enjoy!

Another silly newbee question. I saw some other boards that had photos of peoples cabin door and it looked like they had tons of large magents on them. Do people have them made and put them on each others doors?

Actually, it's Barbara. Or Bobber....or obobber.

My preference runs to Bobber now since it's what my grandkids call me. It's a unique nickname that came from my best friend's son over 40 years ago when he couldn't pronounce Barbara.

The "obobber" came about when he first tasted my beef stew, loved it, and remarked "Oh Bobber". I took it as my screen name when I started using the internet.
.
SWEET STORY!
I love names from Grandchildren! What a tribute to the kid's creativity and importance.

An easy way to do this and keep all info private (if one of you used a TA) is for the person who booked thru the TA to call them and say that you want to like ressies with cruise family B and C...and provide the name and number of the TA to those families. They can each call the TA with their private info. The TA can then call DCL and set it up for you.

Dine and Play (or snatch the kids) is available only at late seating. It occurs at 9 pm. Of course, parents have been excusing themselves after their entree and taking kids to the programming then returning for dessert for years...

The $100 per person OBC was offered to the European cruises and the WB TA to people who booked before a certain date. You lose the offer if you make any changes to your reservation. My TA said that it was not supposed to be offered to WB TA cruisers, but someone at DCL made a "very expensive mistake." It was not offered on the EBTA at all.

I'm totally snowed in with my broken arm and way too much white stuff. I finally got out on Friday after last week's mess, and today we got another 6 inches. And it is supposed to warm up some on Thursday....and then snow again all weekend. OK, it doesn't matter. 2 months from right now I will be on the beautiful Disney Magic. I'm fine, I don't need anything....I have the good sense to prepare for things like this. And I WILL get out for a grocery run on Thursday (should have done it last night, but they only predicted an inch for today).

Christmas workshop sounds interesting...depending on time. I trust we're looking at a sea day....let me know when.

Put that one on the website - EB Magnets

CUTE PICTURE BROOKLYN!

.
Lynne--can you put us down for two lanyards since there are plenty? Tom may not wear one but this way we have them as souvenirs.

THANKS LANYARD TEAM!
.

If you need a few more people/cabins for a second FE group I'll join that one as well. I also ended up with extra FE gifts so I will share with more friends!:flower3:
