Does anyone have an idea of the temperatures as we cross the Atlantic? Being April, I am guessing that it will be pretty chilly. Being out on deck will not be a shorts and T-shirt kind of a thing. Is that right?

Hi, everyone! Took me forever to catch up with all the posts on the 2 threads for this sail date. My DH and I will be on this cruise also.

Going to bed now - hopefully to sleep. Have to have a blood test in the morning so that I can have 3 (yes 3) MRI's on the 19th. Don't know what the blood test has to do with the MRI, but I'm doing what the dr. says.

Hope I have better customers tomorrow than the past few days. One person wanted to book a meeting room on Feb. 29th. :rotfl: Another tried to get the UPS website by typing w w w d o t u p s d o t c o m - don't know why that didn't work :sad2:

Kristi

Kristi, I just had to comment on your last post. I own a bookstore and my employee and I agreed that every freak in the tri-parish area came in today! Is there a full moon out or what?

Just to let the lanyard team know I just sent an email out via regular email - I do not have 2 participants emails so the following people (and anyone who does not get my email) need to email me at akblair@charter.net

I do not have emails for:

mdvasquez
dennisgirl

please note only the lanyard team will see the emails of the team - I will not post them on this forum or the web site. If you want me to BCC you I can do that but know that you will not get the reply all messages from the group.

Thanks to everyone who joined the team! We are on our way to ordering our gift!

Are you signed up for the DCL Seville on Your Own excursion? We need to reconsider if we'll still head out to Seville or stay around Cadiz. If we do go, then it'll be 5 princesses to entertain on the bus!

We're booked with DCL. I've looked online at the train schedules and it seems that DCL is our best option.

Ambien helps me with this... ;)

QUOTE]

I WISH Ambien helped. I take 10mg at night and I could still load the dishwasher, fold clothes and take a shower without getting sleepy!Kristi[/COLOR]

:) It knocks me out almost immediately and I only take a third of a 10mg. I have to make sure I am in bed and that the alarm on the house is activated. I'm afraid that I'll have one of those Ambien moments of walking around and functioning normally while asleep.

Steven, I was teasing about the Ambien. I prefer to go to sleep without meds, but sometimes mama needs a little help. ;) I am going to check out those PS watches. TFS (thanks for sharing)

Speaking of sleepy...yawn. Must go to bed...

I normally cruise Celebrity or Royal--with a heavy side of Carnival because they have some small insides that are well priced for solo travelers.

I'll be checking out Disney in hopes of convincing my son-in-law that it's a great idea for the kids (three year old twins). My daughter has been addicted to Disney since 1976 when we first went to the World. I own 3 timeshares in the Orlando area. She owns one.

Watching the weather and trying to find a short getaway to a warmer place next weekend. I've got four days off and I'm tired to cold.

However, PA Dutch country would be OK, too. It's a short drive to a lovely area.

I'm up to 10 posts. So I should be able to PM now.

Lori

Welcome Lori! :welcome:

obobber....someone posted the temps about 10 (?) or so pages ago 50's to 70's once we hit the high seas/get closer to europe I think ...so you are right ...need a little more clothing or at least a sweater. CCay of course will still be a warm 80 or so (I hope) :cloud9:

Now my son...doesnt know its cold until you tell him it is... he'd wear shorts anyway

... Philip Stein ... It's a neat idea. Too bad it's so out of my price range.
---DW was very excited about the chance to get her first PS watch. We were skeptical. We figured, if the "feel good" aspect doesn't work, at least DW will have a neat watch. Remember, their newset line starts at under $400. You'll likely spend more $ on TransAtlantic gratuities!

hmmm Grecos! One in ephrata too! closer to me!...now I really have to go! ...hmm may have picked up an FE or two in lititz too :cool2:

--- DW and I hang out at the Ephrata store at least once per month (80 mile commute - each way). When you go there, ask if Mike or Jamie are in the store. Tell them you know UNCLE STEVECO. Their kids call us Uncle and Aunt ... The Steveco is another story. Hmmm ... I *think* I have a Lititz FE for you.

Daniel's taxi in Funchai is 95 euros ($133 at today's exchange rate) for a four-person, 4.5 hour private tour. They have several bookings from our ship and most will be ending at Flower Festival events. Disney's 4 to 4.5 excursion costs $35. I'm torn.

---The cost seem to be almost identical. Personally, if all things are similar, it would be a no-brainer, as I'd defer to a cruise-ship organized excursion ANY TIME. BTW, keep in mind, if you do not have all four people in your party (someone does not show up), your cost is usually MORE!

I normally cruise Celebrity or Royal--with a heavy side of Carnival because they have some small insides that are well priced for solo travelers.

---Once you get a dose of Disney, I doubt you will ever go back to Carnival (I know we'll never do Carnival again). Disney is muchmore money, but you get what you pay for. I saw one cruise line introduce a new ship with a limited amount of cabins priced for solo passengers. Unfortunately, they're solo-sized at only 100 square feet!
