Hi. I love the knitting group idea! Do we bring a current project? Are you going to teach a project? Fill me in on details, please. Thanks, Ann

This is strictly a BYOP (Bring Your Own Project). I just really like knitting / crocheting with fellow yarn-lovers, and it's a fun, relaxing, social time for people with a common interest. If you have a project you want to teach I'd love to learn, or if anyone wants a really cool scarf pattern I am totally in love with (very quick, very pretty) I can bring it for the group. But I had no formal plans other than "let's get together and knit / crochet." :cool1: :cool1:

Speaking of which, is anyone here on Ravelry.com?

Just get back to the hotel early so we can meet!!:goodvibes

:thumbsup2

Don't forget the Flower Festival is going on at Epcot - we loved that last time and was educational for the kids while having fun too - and it was relaxing doing those things.

Krisann

Thanks! I did not know about that. I need a giant white board with pros and cons of each park.... :confused3

My friend Carla is coming with me on the cruise! Woo Hoo! She's been wanting to for a while but finally managed to get all her ducks in a row! We spent the day adding her to my shore excursions (and of course she'll join our cab group in Gibraltar). As for Palo, Kristi, do we still have a spot in the group dinner??? Pretty please? We have 1 more spot for brunch, I know that much. I'll add her on to that.

SO HAPPY!!! :dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

Why don't you do both? Animal Kingdon in the morning because they close earlier & then "hop" over to Epcot later in the afternoon and stay through Illuminations! Problem solved... You can thank me later. :worship:

It would be $50 a person to make the tickets park hopper....I can't get my husband to spend $30 on a new FE, he sure is not going to spend $250 to upgrade our tickets to park hoppers....LOL :rotfl2:

Ah, a case of "Dino-itus" has set upon Craig... They will get along "swell"! :rotfl2:

I am not the one doing the Question of the Day - but I have one:
Is there any item you will miss on the cruise that you normally have at home?
Krisann
DH says: IPHONE!!!!!!!!

That being said - we have chose Epcot for the day because we I feel it offers the most things to do for our one park one day ticket. We will do the park, then go outside the park to eat and then come back to watch the fireworks that night.
Krisann
Maybe a mini meet @ Epcot??

Thank you everyone (well almost everyone :rotfl2:) for their input on where to go with our one day.

We will not be staying for fireworks. I want to leave the park by 3 to be closer to the port sooner....but DH thinks I am crazy! LOL

He was set on Epcot but now thinks AK.

DD Maddy loves animals and stuff.

Both girls loved the Kim Possible thing.

We "snuck" Maddy on Everist 2 times b4 a CM measured her and she was just under the line. Her little heart was broken that she could not ride a third time. Now she would def be tall enough.

We love the Nemo show. The girls are huge fans of musicals.

DH brought up a good point that AK is the hardest one to get to. We normally stay on property and the bus rides to AK drive me crazy. We stayed in the Epcot area last time so it was so nice to walk to Epcot or take the boat. So maybe I am leaning more towards AK for the fact that we can drive there.

Thanks again for all of the input!!!

If you are wanting to leave by 3pm, then I would agree with AK. You can get basically everything done by that time and it closes around 5 anyway.

We have 12 in the dinner group so adding one more shouldn't be a problem. I've already faxed the form in though. I got the phone call with the whole "we have your form blah blah blah order they were received blah blah blah" deal. I don't see why we can't add her. I just don't know how.

One last comment - from way way back on the thread - someone (I forgot who) was gently complaining about adolescent boys. I raised 5 of them. At one point the pediatrician introduced me to the concept of 'tetesterone poisoning'. I don't know if it's a genuine medical condition, but it's sure a great description of the condition!
:rotfl:

Welcome sclmom! and thanks for the testosterone quote ...:rotfl2:.it may have been me...my son (14) thinks its odd I am connecting with all of you on the disboards but he talks with strangers & friends over the Xbox360 everyday.... cracks me up!

If Renee left a phone # (she did with me, I can PM you) you can just call. That's my plan. Carla doesn't have her own Palo resie so they won't have to worry about canceling it. Or you can fax a note to the same place you faxed the original request. I'd call first. That's my plan for today.

I'm all for it, though we won't be there until the evening. Our flight arrives at 4:25. My plan is to check in at BCV and head over to EPCOT.

I found a 60 day cruise that looked really good $6500 per person for a verandah.
Sounds like a good price. Please provide some details (cruise line, ship, departure port and date).

Thanks.

Krisann, I think we went the same time as you. Wasn't it a Disney Beach Theme? It was awesome.

Woody

Having trouble deciding on which to do.
1. All day DCL Monteserrat
2. Half-day DCL Monteserrat
3. Go on my own, w/web page directions
4. Stay in Barcelonia and enjoy St. Jodi's day

Could those of you who picked one of the Monteserrat Excursions please explain why you picked the one you did?
Could those of you who didn't pick Monteserrrat Excursions please explain why
not?
Any other imput from any other Disers is more than welcome.

Thanks
P.A.M.

Morning All, At least it's still morning here for me :rolleyes1

I spent some time doing a little catch up on the thread before this post. I am getting a sense about all of you fun people let me tell you. It is sooo hard coming onboard so late in the game!

Brooklyn, your pics of the girls dresses made me so very sad my little DD4 is not coming with us. . .our first cruise she was the belle of the ball each night for sure. As her Mama it was easy to hide out behind her glitz.

Woody & Lynne, I think I envy you guys the most! Wow, what a travel schedule you all have. I would sell my house and travel the world if I could. . .

I am pathetically slow picking up details and actually remembering them so all the planning in 10 weeks time is frying my braiin, so very thankful so many of you have "gone before"

My concerns for today are these: Am I really going to have to pay $1700 for airfare back from Barcelona for the DH and I when we live 25 minutes from an international airport? :sad2: I was sure I had seen it for closer to $500 a ticket a week or two back. BCN to PHL, how hard can it be ya know? Anyone know/find anything better? ugh.

This whole clothing issue, I just never thought how chilly it might be! Gonna make packing interesting for sure.

And dining, our family is so large we have never shared a table before. . .I thought I saw a thread or a web page about "personals" people asking for dinner mates and linking up ressies, etc. We are just a middle age couple of 2 this cruise so looking for some table mates for late dining, any suggestions?

That's enough for now. Amidst all the panic, I am really looking forward to those sea days of laz-ing around as well as seeing new parts of the world (to me at least) AND I will dearly miss my blackberry and internet connectivity.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I am sure this has been asked, but we are late to the game. Is anyone staying over in Barcelona and flying out the next day? Where are you staying and how are the prices? Thanks so much everyone!
