Wow, it's great to hear some of you are getting refunds. We booked our cat9 room through DVC and we can't change a single thing without a penalty (that I know of). It would be nice to get a cheaper price, or an upgrade.

thossink - We had the same problem with an 18 son. As long as your child is stll in high school they can go upstairs. Even if they are not, the counselors are great and they will let the 18 year old stay to keep you 17 yo company. Our son was up there for the EB in 2007 and PC in 2008 and the conselors were fantastic on both long trips.

mommyof3princesses - try your local pharmacy, our CVS, Walgreens, and Rite Aid, all have them and they are usually on sale at one of them at least once every few weeks.

We are in 8032 this sailing! We were in 8532 for the WB PC.

If I could switch, I swear I think I would...the savings would get me on the Dream sooner rather than later. Grlzmom is right though, I will love the space for sea days.

Wahhhhhh I have suite envy, we have had 8032 for eight cruises on the Magic. It has a slight edge over 8532 because in the second left drawer of the vanity there is an extension cord power strip and the pull across clothes line over the bath tub (silly reasons I know). Twice me and dh took 8032 with our littles and our teens were across the elevator lobby in 8532. That was nice.

Sadly, we shall be sailing in regular rooms. And on the MED, we will be trying insides for the first time. We will miss the space but need the money for such a large family and all the excursions.

I was wondering if that would work! That is great. I sware it is like pandora's box when you call DCL! You never know what cast member you are going to get. Oh and the you can't change CAT's...come one....Deck 7 is EMPTY! I have got through every room to pick out what we want. Almost all of them are open. That is just silly! I am so happy you were able to save a little bit of money.

I agree it is totally unpredictable when you call DCL. Can be good, can be not so good. Keep forgetting to post congratulations to your dd on her big role in Sleeping Beauty

We had 2 cat 12s booked and I just spoke to my TA and she said Disney told her I couldn't get the refund because I"m under the cancelation penalty now. Why are different people getting different answers????? We could have saved 600.

I would ask your TA (I'm presuming it isn't DU?) to ask DCL again...it does seem with Disney (and DCL) that the answer does vary sometimes depending on what customer service rep you get. You might also try the DCL website yourself, as one of the previous posters did.

I am so sorry. I never meant to make things seem rigid and complicated. I really wanted things loose and free too, but maybe I am wording it all wrong. I always seem to have things in my head, but the wording comes out all wrong.

Basically, give whenever you want to everyone on the list, and all is good! You can do as many times as you want, as long as its at least once.

The only reason why extra clarifications were thrown in, were because some people did not want some doing a smaller number of cabins while others were doing everyone. They wanted the groups seperate. I hope I made sense....

Thanks for clearing it up for me. All cabins, one time minimum, any day delivery. OK got it.

I have a call into my TA for the lower rates. I will see what happens. Off to Maui for the week. Looks like I am following Lynne but we miss each other by one days. Oh well, I have to wait for the Magic. Aloha everyone.

We did book through DU and our agent e-mailed this afternoon confirming the price cut - $500 for the cat 12 room with 2 adults and 2 children. It looks like from reading this thread that all those of us who did use DU to book a Cat 12 are getting the discount. In fact, my understanding is that the agents started updating everyone's reservation even before being asked by the clients.

My TA called DCL a second time and had a supervisor look into it and they said the same thing. No refund. I called Disney myself and talked to a supervisor. Same answer. They're saying that DU must have absorbed the costs because they treat all agencies the same but I find that hard to believe.....

Just wanted to let everyone know that I called my TA to see if I could get the new lower rate on the cat 12. I was using American Exp to book my trip as I had never, ever spent any of my points and I was planning to pay w points. DCL would not adjust the rate for them
We'll still have a blast, ust would have been great to save the $.

Thanks everybody for the reactions on my question about the amount of € taking with you.

I never thought that it would be hard to get money from an ATM with an American card. Mine just always work where ever i am in the world.
I can imagine that you want to be sure and have the money you need with you instead of having an ATM that doesn't take your card.
Also i never thought of the extra costs of taking money from an ATM.

I learn every day.....

Here is pay for a total package every year and that way i don't have to pay when i'm going to an ATM outside Europe.
In the US i just go to ATM's where you don't have to pay extra for using that bank.
And i never had any problem with my debit card, the ATM never turned me away....

I've never been turned away from an ATM either. I was turned away from a BANK, but never an ATM. LOVE using the ATM's. The biggest problem some may have is most ATMs tell you that you have to have a numeric code and not an alphabetic code. Personally, I don't know of any banks in the US that uses letters instead of numbers, but that would keep you from using an ATM in Europe.
I also like the ATMs because the fees tend to be lower than going to an exchange place. BUT, I am still bringing some with me as I don't want to worry about finding an ATM at a port. When I go to London, then I'll use ATMs.


Can't wait to meet you on the ship. I want to know more about the Netherlands.

Has anyone used the Purex sheets that has had a sensitivity to laundry detergents? Back in the day when you really could only get powder - I could only use Cheer or that baby one (begins with a b). The first liquid one I was able to use was Era and Cheer. I've since tried Tide liquid with very limited problem (like Era and Cheer better).

I'm just concerned about having a reaction to the purex sheets - having your clothes cause you to itch all day is NO fun - neither are the rashes.

I wish Cheer and Bounce would get together to make a combo sheet.

I know, I thought their upload agent would reject the image because of the name...But I uploaded and used the design without a problem...Let me know if you think I should put a bigger design on the back or across the chest...changing is fairly easy...I went for the more subtle "left pocket" position with this.
