Just noticed today that CAT 12 prices have dropped...

Guests 1 & 2 are now $699 and Guests 3 & 4 are $499. I am not sure if you can re-shop these or not at this point but I wanted to pass it on just incase you can.

Thanks! I am waiting to hear back from DU. They said they were working on it. It is strange I have used them for 4 cruises now but on this transatlantic they are always really slow to make changes and respond to me. I almost feel like I annoy my TA when I send a message or ask a question....

A huge shout-out of thanks to Brooklyn who posted about the drop in Cat 12 rates. I just called DCL and changed our reservation with no problems AT ALL even though we were paid in full!

Went from a GTY Cat. 11 to a GTY Cat. 12. Savings? $450

The only little tiny snag was that the change wiped out our Palo/spa/excursion ressies, but at least the DCL agent told me about it. I was able to hop on the website and rebook the exact same things we had before!

DH and I are so happy right now!

Yes! I think Dug is just the cutest - it made me so sad when they put him in the cone of shame! I imagine our dog (Lucky) talking with that same voice. "I was hiding under your porch because I love you." ALso, did you ever notice that Dug is the only "mutt" in the movie?

I am so sorry. I never meant to make things seem rigid and complicated. I really wanted things loose and free too, but maybe I am wording it all wrong. I always seem to have things in my head, but the wording comes out all wrong.

Basically, give whenever you want to everyone on the list, and all is good! You can do as many times as you want, as long as its at least once.

The only reason why extra clarifications were thrown in, were because some people did not want some doing a smaller number of cabins while others were doing everyone. They wanted the groups seperate. I hope I made sense....

These are *crazy* rates!!!! I just called my mom and told her about the new rate. I don't think that rate has come down? Single rate is $1,014. My mom is thrilled---she doesn't care what cat she sleeps in since she'll be with us most of the day.

This is making me wish I could cancel my suite and book a B2B in 2 adjoining - Cat 12's with these amazing rates!!!

How do you look up military rates? I was telling a friend about the military rate and she said she couldn't find it online.

put in the code MTO. If she just prices out the regular rooms, the goes to "edit" or something like that then she can plug in the code.

Not sure when our friends did it last TA but they gave up their suite and moved to a CAT 6 and saved $12,000

Thanks......we've got four hours if all goes well and my dh works commutes between Ohio and NYC regularly---so he knows the airport commutes pretty well. We'll be taking his regular flight home.

You guys are going to need a vacation after this trip home - good luck! We booked a non stop flight last week from Barcelona to JFK. Remember to allow enough time to travel between JFK - LaGuardia even though they are only 20 miles apart the traffic is crazy!

The rates are incredible, but you will be so happy in that suite, especially on sea days with kids, all that space, dvds, board games, better room service. I don't know what kind of suite you have, but we love the midship 3s, 8032 is my favorite.

You could always do the MED portion in regular rooms, won't have time to hang out in the suite with all the ports!

...we decided to book Florida Town Car service-- It is $100 for the one way trip from MCO to the hotel... if you figure in gas, tolls and time it is going to take you to pick up the car at the airport (shuttle, etc.) ...

How are you getting from Country Inn to the port?

You can't specify what hotel you want. You have to only select cape canaveral and only 2 1/2 stars. Then you bid $49 and you SHOULD be good to go. They could always assign you a different hotel but your chances are really high.

They can only assign you a higher-rated hotel - which would be the Residence Inn in Cape Canaveral. Right?


I want a lower rate. Too bad I didn't read this until it was 2:30 am in Orlando; will have to check it out tomorrow morning.

Took my SIL for her first Disneyland visit today. We spent the afternoon in both CA & THE park. We just hit the "highlights" - Soarin', Toy Story Mania, ToT (just me - whew it was good), Buzz Lightyear (not as good as it used to be because now I have Toy Story Mania), Space Mountain (SIL - "is it over?" wasn't as scary as she expected, in a good way), and the classic - It's a Small World - still decorated for the Holidays. Took the railway back to Main Street so I could do a little FE shopping (hence the first QOTD, your answers will help me sort out who gets what. Forgot my Disney Rewards VISA in the condo - missed out on $25 savings, drats! Now I really need that Cat 12 price reduction).
