Are you one to notice leftover cigarette smoke? If so, any problems with this in the state rooms or public areas?

Because of cigarette smoke, we avoided the casino and the starboard side of the conservatory pool.

I just found this site and thread so forgive any newbee mistakes...
I have sent Michelle my family info for the secret Mickey, I love the idea.

My husband will not be able to make the trip so I will be traveling with my mother. I will also be with my 5 year old son and 23 month old daughter.
This is my first disney cruise and first cruise with children.

Any advise or tips? I did book some time in the nursery, I was told it could book early.

Can't wait!

There was talk of avoiding smoke and its odors on Princess. What about Disney? I'm assuming it will be better (i.e. more controlled/contained) on Disney. Hope I'm right.

I'd be interested in a singles meet & greet. Kind of fun to find folks with common interests not traveling as couples. As long as it a meet market, not a meat market.

Actually, it's Barbara. Or Bobber....or obobber.

My preference runs to Bobber now since it's what my grandkids call me. It's a unique nickname that came from my best friend's son over 40 years ago when he couldn't pronounce Barbara.

The "obobber" came about when he first tasted my beef stew, loved it, and remarked "Oh Bobber". I took it as my screen name when I started using the internet.

I believe there is usually something in the navigator about a singles "meet and greet" but the one time I stopped by - I didn't really see anyone.

I was thinking we should have our own disboards singles meet and greet. Not sure when a good time would be, but I think it would be fun.

I think there is a single cruiser lunch ..more than once on the ship...you actually lunch with the crew....never did it...but peeked in to see what it was about I'm thinkin I may do it this time....especially with disboard cougar company

I've been reading about the toboggan/sledge rides in Madeira - it sounds like it might be fun for the kids, but it almost seems like the 'intimidate the tourist' factor is really high too. Do you think it is worth the hassling?

We are doing that....we are going with NO expectations so we are not disappointed.

Welcome to another Connecticutite to very very cool FL. It has not been too warm here. As a matter of fact for a few days we had the same temp. as our home in CT. You are on the west coast which is warmer than here on the east coast. Hope it warms up for your stay here. If you come to the east coast let me know. We are about an hour from Disney and 10 minutes from the Space center.

Not sure our plans for dinner. I know DISers in the past have all ordered pizza's and stuff and just had a dinner meet around the pool.
