4 + 1 = happy memories? I hope so! NEW: Final thoughts!

Oh No!!!! It's not over!?! :sad1: Boy, you guys had quite a trip! :faint: I'm so sorry it ended up with you getting sick. Liz, thanks so much for sharing your adventure with us. Because of you, I have hope now that it will work out if we decide to take my son's girlfriend with us. You hear so many horror stories, but your trip with Kelsee is the way it should be! :thumbsup2

Don't worry... you guys will be planning another trip before you know it! :goodvibes

Take care,
Michelle

Thanks Michelle! Till we can go back I know I can count on you to give me lots of enjoyment through your TR!! :thumbsup2

I really enjoyed your trip report (last year's was great too!). So your '4+1' trip sounded like you all had a fantastic time. What a wonderful family you have! My kids are getting older (14 and a just turned 17 yr old) but still enjoy our family vacations too.

Your pictures were great too! Thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks so much! Glad you were here! Disney definitely can still be fun with older kids!!!

We took our daughter's boyfriend this past summer, and it was great. I grew to reallyappreciate him, becuse he rolled right along with all the chaos of our 8 children. He fit in. I think a vacation with potential in laws is a must.:thumbsup2

Did you go to WDW or some place else with the boyfriend?

Thanks, Liz!:)

Thank you!!!!

thanks for sharing. If I may suggest and if u have time make a dvd of the photos and add music to it then u can always look at it when u want to go back. I do that and it is fun too watch and u get a disney fix.

I had a site I did that for people and made a little money off of it but it got real time consuming.

It was a great read.

The DVD is a great idea! I would have no idea how to do it but Kelsee is extremely talented with that sort of thing! I'm glad you are here Scott!

I've loved laughing and crying along with you! Maybe you should plan a little trip for after Jeff has been gone awhile to give you something to look forward to!

Ahh, Cherie, I would love to have a trip to plan but while we're supporting Jeff in NY its going to be hard. Maybe the reason we don't have a mission fund is because my money has been going to a Disney fund instead! ;)

Maybe a nice Mother/daughter trip or a romantic trip with your husband. I think you need to think about another trip, too.

I think I need one too. Now have a talk with my bank account!!! That $400 a month to support Jeff is cutting into my Disney budget! (But I don't regret it!)

I thoroughly enjoyed your TR and am sad to see it end! :sad1:

I don't think I commented on it, but I also read your Fort Wilderness TR way back when - I enjoyed it as well.

Thanks for sharing with us!!!

Thanks for being here! And glad you enjoyed the Ft. Wilderness TR too!! :)

HEY, WE JUST HAD AN EARTHQUAKE!!!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

LOVE IT!!!!

I enjoyed reading your final thoughts Liz :) Thanks again for sharing your trip and your family with us all :)

Liz, what a wonderful report!! Can't help but agree with some posters, that a little Mother/Daughter trip would be wonderful for you! I'm trying it with my DD27 in a couple of months, I've never been in May so this should be cool !! We will do a few days at Pop and then we rented points from DVC member to do OKW for a few nights. Your family could spread out in a dvc room, and renting points is very affordable!! You will laugh about the down moments of your trip (eventually!) and you will treasure your photos and all the wonderful memories! It is wonderful for us to see your family enjoying each others company.

I'm so glad you have been here Carissa! :) I enjoyed your TR as well!

Earthquake!

I know!!! Pretty scary huh!!! Actually Laura and I didn't feel it and Jeff was still sleeping. Paul said "we just had an earthquake" and Laura and I were like  and then they started reporting in on the news! :crazy2: I'm surprised we didn't feel it because it was a 6.0 which isn't exactly small.

Thanks Mary! Who knows, maybe something will come up and we can get down there or to Disneyland at least because 2010 is a long way off. I think renting points is a great option that I've looked into before but never done it. I remember your pics of OKW and they were awesome! :wave2:

I have felt a couple when we lived in California (Redlands) and they are not fun! One time I was barefoot and it felt like someone just ran a finger along the bottom of my foot as it passed under the ground. SOOOOOOOOO WEIRD!!!

I would not like that, that would be weird.

Well, I'm only on page 2 and you're almost done! But I'm really enjoying your Q&A with the family and can't wait to read more about your trip! :thumbsup2

Hi! :wave2: Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy reading!!

Instead of sending out our usual e-mail question, I sent out an "assignment" last week. The assignment was to write a song about our vacation to the tune of "Its A Small World". Laura and I worked together, Jeff and Kelsee were a team and Paul was on his own. Our finished products ranged from "well that was nice" and "good effort" to hilarious (Jeff and Kelsee's version). I'll share theirs below!

Theres a guy named Paul,
and he's kind of tall,
when he needs a bathroom,
we'll find a stall,
drop the lid, lock the door,
drop his pants to the floor,
we'll be waiting down the hall.

Then there's mom all giddy,
and shedding tears,
acting like a kid,
going back some years,
don't slow down, we'll be late,
dinners here, clean your plate,
listen to how our mother cheers.

Next theres Kels, she's thrilled,
and in quite a shock,
she is snapping pictures,
around the clock,
look at her, she's so fine!
Jeffrey says, "She is mine!"
her big smile you just can't block.

There's a goofy grin,
that won't leave his face,
when he sees Splash Mountain,
he's on the chase,
Kelsees right by his side,
lets get on the next ride,
Can you keep up with Jeff's pace?

Laura's such a sport,
and a load of fun,
and a wheelchair means,
fun for everyone,
"Jeff slow down", she'll declare,
as she's pushed, here and there,
grab a churro on the run.

What a trip that's only for our family,
this is so exciting and magically,
We have all found the parts,
being kids in our hearts,
all together we will be...

(Chorus)
Making memories, having fun,
sharing laughs with everyone,
we'll be sad when it's all done,
it's the greatest trip of all!!!

I love this! It brought tears to my eyes (I'm a bit of a sap I guess). You have such a cute family! :)

:goodvibes Thanks! Glad ya liked it! I thought they did quite a nice job with it and much better than I could have done!! :goodvibes

I'm done! I'm so sorry you got sick on your trip! Looks like your DS and his GF had a nice time on their last day. She seems like a sweetie and I was glad her first trip was so fun! I hope you can go back soon and have a great healthy trip to make up for this one. :)
