To add, I don’t think it increased sales in any meaningful way either..neither did BLT deals in February. .
Theres a lag in the numbers report by dvcnews(?) right? Might have been enough time for the BWV deal but certainly not the BLT one yet I dont think? To add, I don’t think it increased sales in any meaningful way either..neither did BLT deals in February. .
That is why I don’t see them doing this for sold out resorts until they have a chance to sell VGF for awhile.
I don't think it's supposed to. I think the primary purpose is to have an outlet for ROFR points. Keeping the ROFR floor high reduces the appeal of resale (which they obviously want), but it leaves Disney with points on hand that they're not easily able to sell at sold out prices. To add, I don’t think it increased sales in any meaningful way either..neither did BLT deals in February. .

WOW! That's a lot of BWV points to sell... hopefully raising the price will slow that roll and they'll stop taking so many contracts.......Pulled the numbers from dvc news, looks like they did have some kinda impact.
BLT jan points sold direct was 2690, Feb was 6009.
BWV was 3585 nov, 6302 dec 4363 jan then only 1855 feb.
While not a huge amount of the overall direct point sold, if they were scooping them up through rofr and selling at a 30-40 dollar per point premium, decent chunk of change.
They would be making $150pp profit on VGF and RIV so it's still just a drop in the ocean really once you account for admin costs of doing ROFR.While not a huge amount of the overall direct point sold, if they were scooping them up through rofr and selling at a 30-40 dollar per point premium, decent chunk of change.

ROFRing and then selling Boardwalk isn't about selling Boardwalk. You ROFR Boardwalk to inflate Boardwalk resale prices, which helps you sell Riviera.

RIV now $188 for 200 points until 2nd June or $196 for new members.
I saw on another post that DVC had record sales in the first 2 weeks of VGF going on sale to members....Wow wow wow the new incentives at VGF stink. It must be selling like mad.
