$4,000 for a Zhu Zhu Pet!!

A mindflex ended for $5,000:confused::confused:

Hmmmm. I'd be suspicious of that one.

I'm wondering if it's the seller bidding on his own item under a different user name to get interest up in his item.

WOW--they obviously have more money than the average person does to bid that kinda money for an animal their kid might only play with a few times

Whoa. If i could get $4,000 for these things, I'd be selling mine and taking my kid on a NICE Disney vacation next year! I'm pretty sure that's a phony bid, though!

I'm pretty sure that person will NEVER pay .... who'd even list at that price given listing fees??????? sigh....

Oh, you betcha! Vacation trumps the latest toy fad around here anyday. :thumbsup2

I can't imagine it's the seller bidding on his own item though - unless he didn't do the math to calculate how much the final value fee was gonna cost him when the phony bid ends. He'll end up stuck with an $8 item and nearly a hundred dollars in fees...:scared1:

the description says "you are bidding on a very rare hamster. That one's not rare!! I wish there was a way to report it and get it taken down. And I checked the person that bid... has only one bid.

It's probably someone sabotaging the listing. They created a new account, bid ridiculously high and then won't pay, that means the seller will have to relist the item and go through the hassle with Ebay of getting his/her fees refunded. i think people do stuff like this when they get angry about sellers taking advantage of the market to the degree of which they are with the zhu zhus. At least based on my limited knowlege of Ebay this is my guess...:confused3

It's really pathetic what has become of Ebay.. Between the sellers, the buyers, the bidders, the merchandise being offered, as well as Ebay and Paypal being in the same bed together, they took a "good" thing and turned it into a disaster..

Although I will still buy used books on half.com (reluctantly, but cheaper combo shipping than Amazon), I don't personally know of anyone (friends or family) who buy or sell on Ebay anymore..

There was a time when I thoroughly enjoyed selling on Ebay - and a time when I would do ALL of my Christmas shopping on Ebay - but the way things are now, I won't even look to see what they have.. Haven't bothered with them in about 5 years or so..

They have basically shot themselves in the foot and eventually it will come back to bite them in the butt..:sad2:

So, is one Zhu Zhu color really more rare than any of the others? I guess Patches is maybe the rarest? But of white, yellow, gray, and brown, is one more "rare"?

Hey I have that one packed away for dd. I'll let it go to one of you for the bargain price of $3,500 :)

My DD has 2 of that color and one yellow and one white one packed away for christmas....give me 2K and I'll ship em right out!!!! Geeze what Ebay has come too...but I agree, I think its a phony bid.....

lol that is a joke!!! I have never touched one of these until 2 days ago and thought this stupid thing is what all the fuss is about...ahh i gave in to another one of my kids' fads

There is only one bid that I can see, so that's the price the seller listed it at. No mistake in the zeros on the bidder's part. However, I'm sure it's just a big hoax and the seller will cancel their shill bid before the auction ends, or cancel the transaction to avoid fees.
