I'm not sure where to ask this question so I'll ask it here.

My husband wears a 3X and we always have a tough time finding this size anywhere on property. Has anyone seen 3X Mens shirts anywhere on Disney property lately?

Thanks.

I saw a few at World of Disney at DTD and at Mousegears at Epcot. This was back in March. The selection was very limited.

At any Disney store just ask a CM if you need special sizes. Sometimes they have them in the storage room. They will also call around and try to find that item for you at a different location, where it will be held for you to pick up.

I didn't see any. I was looking for 3X or 4X shirts in every park during our stay 2 weeks ago for my dad but I was not able to find anything big enough. The only place I found shirts big enough to fit him were at Disney online.

Thanks for the responses.

It seems like bigger sizes are hard to find anywhere these days. You have to go to the special Big and Tall store and spend a ton of money on bigger shirts here in our city.

Just wish Disney would carry more of the larger men sizes.

I'll try asking CM's for larger sizes if we don't see any.

And I am trying to remember which of the WDW courses it was,the pro shop had some 2X and 3X golf shirts on sale. Also at one of the Premium Outlet malls at the Disney outlet there were some as well. My BIL stocked up on some 2X/3X shirts.

BIL was complaining about lack of selection at WDW until we fluked out at both locations.

Cheers!

My dadwas looking for 4 x last week ... We found a few 3 x such as in Raglan road in DTD and a few shops... But they were small and didn't fit him. i was very pleased to have found him a few 4 x onthe Disney store web site before hand!!!

Our last stay I found a few at the World Of Disney store. We made ours at Design A Tee in DTD. Also the Disney store has them and their website has a few.

No one has EVER offered or agreed to do anything like what you describe for DH. Not even once. They shrug their shoulders and move on. The characters care more about DH's shirt situation than the CMs at the stores that sell shirts. (seriously...he's gotten comments by WDW characters about his one or two Universal-themed shirts, and by Universal characters about his few WDW shirts, and they always think it's a serious bummer that the stores don't feel like selling much to a person who would LOVE to buy shirts) (he loves to wear shirts that are opposite from the park we're in...just like I love to wear my tinkerbell lanyard pouch on my Ravenclaw lanyard)

That said, DH has had GREAT luck at the offsite GiftLand! It's outside of downtown disney, sharing a parking lot with Waffle House. Looks SO cheesy from the outside, but they have real Disney shirts.

We have seen many shirts that we have just seen over at WDW, but for half price AND in extended sizes. It's where he has gotten most of his Disney shirts. Exact same shirts. So Disney is having them made...they just aren't selling them in their stores. It's mystifying.

The one place he found a zip-up sweatshirt was at OKW. He found another warm thing like that at OKW too, but wasn't in the market for it. At SSR he found a DVC fleece in his size and *maybe* one at the Grand Floridian.

Oh wait, DH says he found a couple at World of Disney, but he didn't like them.

But seriously, if you have any means of getting there, try GiftLand. They actually have a section for plus sizes, so you can go straight to the area.

We made several at the Design A Tee store at DTD. Other than that you can get "Disney" Florida t-shirts in larger sizes at Walmart....they make great souvenirs at a very low price, I think I only paid $9 in Jan when we were down

There were some in January at the Disney store in the outlet mall at the south end of International Drive, I was surprised at how many, but very little that size in the stores onsite. :confused3 And there were actually a couple of nice ones at Walmart. So if you've got the transportation, you may have better luck offsite.

OT but if you have a JC Penney near you they carry a big and tall section in their stores. The t-shirts I buy my DH are usually $10 and the jeans are $25. And they are good quality.

I've often had good luck with the men's section for golf shirts at World of Disney in Downtown Disney. More recently, I have found very large tee shirts (up to 5X) in the big gift shops like Mouse Gears and going into World Showcase in Epcot. The large tee shirts were of lower quality. I have also shopped for a limited selection online. My sister also found me some comfy Mickey pjs at Wal-Mart for Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised at how good that turned out. The WM fleece pjs fit in a 3X. I had bought cotton pj bottoms at WDW in a 3X that was too small.

We were at WDW in January a couple of years ago and the weather suddenly turned ice cold. (Well, I've been on this hard to fit rodeo for a long time and knew that I had to grab whatever I could find.) We went into the gift shop at the Contemporary and I found a fire engine red hoodie with a screen printed gold castle on the back with a couple of small rhinestone bedazzles on it. Fire engine red is not my color and I generally don't go for that general style...but again...it was a 3X...it fit...it was going to be 20 degrees outside...of course I bought it.

For the rest of the week...I had absolutely no problem finding a wide selection of plus size winter gear. There were lots of cute things that I would have enjoyed more.

The point is...don't assume that you won't have a good selection.

TO not sound like I'm complaining...the fleece hoody looks really good under my black windbreaker and hides the huge gold castle and rhinestones. The hoody and the windbreaker made a really comfy and toasty combination for the week and has become my Winter walking outfit.

I'm happy to hear that some of you have found larger sizes in Disney.

We won't be traveling offsite because we won't have a car but we'll just have to wait and hope for the best.

Oh yes I forgot about JCPenney. My husband bought 2 nice button down shirts there about a year ago. They cost him $45 each though. That's great that you were able to find $10 t-shirts. At the time he needed something dressy and wasn't looking for t-shirts.

The strategy I would try for good customer service is asking nicely. When you do encounter a person that is less than helpful then I would ask to speak with the manager.

I have done this so many times and I've always gotten good results with getting CM's to help me. Sometimes it's just a matter of being persistent until you find someone who will help you. Sometimes the CM's have offered to call to the other store that might have the shirt. Sometimes I have to ask them if there are any other locations that would have the shirt and perhaps they could call and check for me.

So the keys for me in getting this to work are:
*asking nicely
*keep at it until you find the person that can help you
*communicate your needs and don't expect the CM to read your mind.

Good luck and happy hunting finding those shirts!
