Our son and a couple of his friends want to go to WDW the end of April. How busy is this time? With spring break over and school still going does is help with the crowd level? How about the weather? Would love to hear from those who have been this time of year.

I make almost all of my trips during the last week of April/first week of May. I am really into the flower and garden festival so this is one of my favorite times of the year to visit... :flower3:

Last year during that week we had high temperatures in the low 80s and nighttime temperatures of 70ish. The weather is gorgeous and NO RAIN! :woohoo: We generally have very little or no rain at that time of year, I don't question it .... lol

Some late-April weekends will be Grad Night weekends, but we stay away from the value resorts and keep out of Magic Kingdom on those nights, and hardly ever feel any effect from it. The longest lines we had last year were for Nemo at Epcot and Nemo again at Animal Kingdom, and of course things like Soarin and Everest. The worst line we got in Magic Kingdom was actually Peter Pan during EMH.... that one and Thunder Mt were the worst ones for MK. We waited ten or fifteen minutes without fastpasses for several things which have hour-long lines in summertime.

I am partial, but that time of year is a very pleasant time to visit WDW.

Tell them to go a week later, and get them to treat you to Mother's Day brunch among the flowers!

We are also going to be at WDW in April 13-20, 2008 so I was also curious about crowds and weather. Sounds like a good time to go!? We have been there before in Feb and March.

Just and FYI, Grad Nights are April 18-19 and 25-26.

We're arriving on April 28 so we'll miss them! (Thank goodness!)

In Rhode Island the week of April 13th is school vacation and in Massachusetts school vacation is April 20th. I don't know about the rest of the New England states but I would think they're around the same time though. It might be a little busy with us Northerners down there ready to shed our winter coats and trying to get our first glimpse of warm weather!:sunny:

:thumbsup2 WE were there twice during this time ( April 26 th to May 10)...last year it was hot, but not unbearable..the crowds were moderate, but with good planning, it was not a big deal...We had a cool front come through with a huge thunderstorm and then it cooled down and was not humid at all...Loved it!
