3rd Time's the Charm!? A 2014 PTR *NEW 11/21!*

Totally agree with HS being not so baby friendly. I also think Disney Junior live will be a fun to do. I know our little ones won't know who any of the characters are, but from the videos I have seen on YouTube it looks like they would enjoy it.

I think your little girl will love Rafiki's planet watch. My little guy is almost 6 months and anything with four legs is fascinating to him.

DTD can be dangerous in general, but now with a baby I don't even know if I want to try. I can say no to things for myself, but if it's something for Jonah I am a total sucker. :rolleyes1

These last 3 months are going to fly by for you! It's unbelievable how quickly your last trimester goes, at least that's my opinion. :goodvibes Enjoy this last bit of "just you two" time while you can.

I have to agree with Animal Kingdom. I think this will be the first trip where I'm really looking forward to our AK day. When you think about the park, in general, it does have so much to offer children. Not that the others don't, but I think AK can be taken at a slower pace, since it's ot so much about riding all the attractions, but more about taking in the surroundings.:goodvibes

I agree with you...DHS is not high on our list at all.

I think doing the trails at AK with the baby is a very good idea, sleeping or not. The baby might like the movement of the animals. There is a petting zoo at Rafiki's Planet where you can pet the goats. It's not an every time visit, but it is interesting there.

DTD is very troublesome for me...DH always wants to take my wallet away from me. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I always enjoy my time at DHS I just don't feel the need to spend as much of it there, and it really doesn't give me the same butterflies in the stomach feeling as MK. Good point about the animals as well, there is definitely a lot to see at AK. Silly Mark trying to take away your wallet :rotfl2:

Definitely the right idea to just take it easy. I think there is plenty to do in DHS, it is just a matter of whether you want to or not. I'd definitely recommend checking out the Disney Junior show... maybe while your DH sneaks off to do RnR and TOT. :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

Great idea about the Disney Junior show, I completely forgot about that one! I've never had a reason to see it so it has been off of my radar. And I don't imagine that DH would enjoy it so your plan for him might work out nicely too :lmao:

I'm so glad that you guys mentioned Disney Junior because I forgot all about it. I will definitely put it on our list of things to try to do. I am really excited about Rafiki's planet watch too, it will be a bit different with a less than 1 year old than it would be with an older child, but I think that we can still get something out of it. And I agree completely about the baby shopping! It is much easier to say no to yourself lol

They really are going to fly by. Time is going by far too quickly as it is and we have Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up too - eek!

I agree completely with your thoughts about AK and I will definitely be checking out your report to see how Landon loves it all!

I've got a little life update for you today.

DH has ripped down all of the walls and old insulation in the nursery!! Our home is pretty old and we weren't happy with the temperature regulation upstairs, so we wanted to get the walls re-done before the baby comes. DH is pretty handy, and I have relatives who build homes and do renovations for a living, so we decided to DIY it and save ourselves some money. We've got everything priced out and DH is probably going to get started on the new walls this weekend.

He thinks that we have so much time, but there are only 15 weeks until my due date!! And that is if we make it all the way to 40 weeks (you never know!)

Here are a couple of pictures of the walls all ripped down

In other baby news, I had an OB appointment today and our last scan showed that my placenta is lying low. So we have to go back for another ultrasound in 6 weeks to see if it has moved. My doctor said that there is a good chance that it will move up on its own, but if it doesn't, I will have to have a c-section delivery. There are a few complications with this, but they are pretty rare and as long as I'm being monitored, we should be fine. Other than that, the baby is looking good and growing as she should, which is amazing.

That's all for today!! I need to get back to studying for the midterm that I have to write tomorrow :)

It's so nice to have a handy DH. I would definitely suggest having everything ready by 37 weeks. We were scrambling to get everything done over a two day period once we found out I was going to be induced.

So happy to hear the baby is doing well!

Now is the time to do the home remodeling. How great that your DH can do it himself. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I hope everything works out with your placenta previa. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Sorry I missed your update (had some sad news this week).

I'm glad to see the construction work is being done now and not later. You'll have a sparkling new nursery. :)

Hope your midterm went well.

Glad the baby is Doug well! Hopefully, the placenta will move up on its own so you don't have to worry about it.

I love the shape of that room! It will make a wonderful nursery! It is nice having a handy DH. I'm lucky to have one myself. If yours is anything like mine, he'll just brush off any compliment of how impressed I am by all the handy stuff he can do. ;)

Good luck at your next ultrasound! Only 15 weeks away. Wow! Where has time gone?!

It is great to have a handy DH and so many handy family members. We save a ton on labour charges whenever we have any kind of work done. I want to have things done ASAP, I wish that I could do the renos myself :rotfl: We are getting there, but it is just slowly!

I completely agree. I can't wait to see how it turns out either, and I will definitely post some pictures on here when it is done! The odds are in my favour of the placenta moving, so hopefully that's what happens. But if not, I'm at least glad that my doctor is on top of it.

I'm so sorry to hear about your fur baby :( That must be so tough. How are you doing?

I'm excited about the work getting done too, I just can't wait until the big stuff is done so that I can get in there and start with the organizing and decorating!

Thank you! The odds are in my favour, so fingers crossed it will move. The room will make a nice nursery, once it is finished. It is so great to have a handy DH, and how nice that yours is so humble about it! My DH gets really excited when he gets the chance to do these things and seems to enjoy when I tell him that he does a good job. Thanks for the good luck!

Good morning and happy Monday!! I'm usually off on Monday's so I take the day to relax, do things around the house, cook dinner, and snuggle with the puppy. My Monday's lately have been pretty good :rotfl:

I just wanted to post a little update about what has been happening around here lately.

October 18th was Scarlett's 2nd birthday! I can't believe that she is 2 already. She got herself a few new toys, including a Minnie Mouse dressed in her halloween costume :)

Last weekend was Thanksgiving here in Canada. We had a busy weekend, but we got to spend time with family, which we always love. We ate far too much food, but it was delicious! On Thanksgiving Monday we took Scarlett to a nearby park for a nice long walk. It was a beautiful day and I took my new camera to take a few shots.

It was wonderful!

This weekend wasn't quite as busy, but we did still manage to get some things done. DH and my dad went to buy some materials and got started on putting up the new walls in the nursery! It is finally starting to get somewhere and I am really thrilled. We have been accumulating baby stuff and it has nowhere to go right now so my office and the dining room are quite full right now. I am looking forward to getting the house back in order.

While the boys were doing the manual labour, I went with my mom to the mall because I had seen some great sales online so we thought that we would check everything out. With the extreme generosity of my mom and grandma, we managed to get all of our nursery furniture and our travel system and all at a great price. It was a big step and I can't believe that we are "there" already, but I'm really excited :goodvibes

I am feeling completely behind on my Christmas stuff this year, so I got a list started for gift ideas, so I feel like I am at least making progress. I am really running out of time so I need to get moving. One weekend in November we are taking a mini-getaway with family to celebrate my dad's 50th birthday, and the weekend after that is going to be my baby shower so life is busy!

Thanks to anyone who read all of that, phew! It feels nice to just get things all written out.

-------------------------------------------------------------

In trip news, we are still pretty much at a standstill even though we talk about it every day! I did succeed in finally making a list of characters in the Magic Kingdom, so that is one thing done! I am hoping that today I can get a couple more parks done.

And that's all for today, folks! Have a great day!

Aww, how cute is Scarlett. Is she reacting to your pregnancy at all? My border collie was getting so anxious right before I had Jonah and would not leave my side. It was the funniest thing.

How wonderful you have all your gear now. It just makes it feel that much more real. :goodvibes

Krysten, Scarlett is just too darn cute for words. And I have to say that you are looking great "mommy." :goodvibes

How nice of your mom and grandma to take care of your nursery furniture for you. That is such a big help.

I'm glad the nursery is making some progress.

Wow, a lot going on right now! I'm glad you're making good progress on getting the nursery ready. I hate to break it to you, but even once you get the nursery ready and start moving baby stuff into there and out of the office, etc... Your house will still never be in order again.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

She is cute, isn't she? lol She is such a good little dog and she is quite responsive to how I am feeling. If I am ever sick or tired or upset, she just sticks by me and snuggles when I need it.

It does feel so much more real now, and third trimester is right upon us so it is getting real awfully fast!

I am so lucky to have her, she is a great little dog. I am also extremely fortunate for my family, they help me in so many ways and I am just so glad to have them around. Family is really a big deal for us. I would love it if I could snap my fingers and the nursery would be finished, but unfortunately it is taking a bit longer than that :rotfl: How have you been doing?

Yeah, it's busy, but that is how life is! And you do have a point about the house, but if I can get it into some type of order that I'm comfortable with for now, that would be great :rotfl:

Happy belated Canadian Thanksgiving :)

So glad the nursery is coming along!! It will probably be a huge relief to get that done!

Hi little Mama!! Just popped in to let you know I AM still here, You look so radiant, pregnancy looks good on you!
:goodvibes

Your puppy is adorable! She'll be the perfect big sister to the new baby. It's actually quite sweet how protective and parental dogs get to babies. :goodvibes

Good to hear you were able to buy all your nursery and travel items. :thumbsup2 Trust me, it's great to have that peace of mind, knowing you at least have a carrier or a chair if they should decide to arrive early.

Awwww happy birthday, Scarlett! She's super cute. How awesome that everything is coming together for you with the nursery. Your baby bump is absolutely adorable!

Hi there!! Glad to see you here. I know that you are very busy so I appreciate you stopping by. I am pretty behind on your reports as well, but I try to stop by when I can :)

Thank you :) I think that she will make a great big sister. She loves the kids at my moms daycare so I don't have any concerns about her with the new little one, which is really nice. And I agree completely, it is nice to know that you at least have some basics covered, just in case!
