Hi girls (and boys!)
This is our last week of this pledge i hope you all do well with weight losses :thumbsup2
Can i have your thoughts please on the next pledge?? :goodvibes
Are you all happy with the pledge thread :smooth:
Do you still want to do it every 6 weeks,is there anything that you would want me to change :confused3
shall we keep going as we are?!
I would appreciate your feed back on this!
Thanks for each of you on keeping these pledges going :grouphug: :grouphug:

The only thing I would amend is the 6 week pledge, it seems we have all dropped off a smaller 'bitesize' target, I know I am working weekly not 6 weekly. It certainly helped the 1st time when I was excited to hit my pledge but after that I forgot about it!

what time frame were you thinking of Jodie? 4 weeks?

Perhaps, I am not really bothered about a mini target at all. It was a very good idea at the beginnng but after the 1st pledge was over I tend not to really think about my next 6 week pledge, I just say the same each time now & dont really think about it for the next 6 weeks.

I will keep up with what everyone else wants though!

Hi netty and ladies,
well you will be pleased with me this week i have lost 4lbs.
as for the pledge, i do agree people seem to be getting a little bored. We have to find it somehow more exciting. When we did the first thread people seemed to be chatting between themselves and giving support. However now people are just writing weight lost and going.

As for me i am just greatful that i can share my weight loss and read that its not only me struggling to lose the weight. When i read others reports i either think wow i have done well, or she can do it so so can i.... hope you get what i mean..

come on girls lets think of something. :thumbsup2

I agree with Kizzy that people seem to have lost interest a little bit. I don't necessarily think it's a conscious thing, just that there are probably only about a quarter of the original 6-week pledgers still going and we are struggling just to keep ourselves motivated (well, I certainly am).

I actually think that a weekly thing might be better. As Jodie said, a lot of us are really just going week-to-week now. I think my problem, personally, is I lose track of whereabouts in the 6 weeks we are and I'm not really aiming for the short-term 6 week target - only a weekly and long-term final goal weight.

Perhaps, we should have a 'goal weight' type thread where people state how much they want to lose in total (most have got it on their tickers anyway) and then just do a weekly weigh in :confused3 Depending on how people do, they could state a desired loss for the following week when they weigh in each week.

I agree about a weekly pledge.

I haven't lost interest but because I am coming to the end of my weight loss and moving into maintenance. It would be nice to have that weekly goal to try and reach.

Thanks girls for the feed back! :goodvibes
well by going from what you have said, a weekly thread would be better. So starting next week we will go back to that if everyone is happy to do so.
right, shall we also try and post 1 thing that has helped us each week lose weight,or that we have done differently that has made a difference and has helped with the weight loss?
any hints or tips may just be the thing someone else needs to hear to help them.

thanks netty!

right girls, I think as netty. we need something to keep us going whether its a tale of sadness or a tale of happiness. hopefully we get them on a funny side. i will start us off. after reading this you will agree its gods way off saying leave the chocolate alone... lol

i was feeling really bored today with nothing to do, and i kept walking into the kitchen and opening the fridge (as we all do) looking for something to eat. i wasnt even hungrey. so closed it and decided to put washing in dryer. AND there it was staring at me. my sons cadburys creme egg. i had to eat it, has i got close to the cupboard where dryer was the egg got closer and closer to me. guess what happened? ouch ouch (swear word) followed by a swear word. i trod one the drawing pin i lost earlier on in the day from the pin board. i was that upset that i forgot all about the chocolate egg.

and yes it is still there!!!!

Well done Kizzy! On the weight loss & resisting the creme egg :thumbsup2

Me & Gavin stayed the same, we are eating the same so I think the dreaded exercise is going to have to come into force, we did go for a walk on Saturday.

Another 1lb loss for me girls.

I think a weekly pledge is great Jeanette, to be honest I have no idea what ive done over the last six weeks, so whatever works for everyone else is fine with me:)

Well done losers, good luck all.

Sue

Florence and Kizzy, your weight countdowns are fantastic, you should be so proud of yourselves

Well Jeanette you can count me back in with the weekly weigh-ins. I've been very naughty over Easter, so today I weighed myself and did my exercise DVD for the first time in about a year. I am hoping to lose 8lbs over the next 10/12 weeks before my hols.

:wizard: Good luck everyone and well done with all your losses

Mandy :)

Well i lost 1lb this week but like others i've got bored and need something to get me motivated, if i've got nothing to do i keep going to the fridge to find something to eat don't really need to, i haven't been able to do much walking what with the in-laws keep phoning and wanting me to take MIL shopping, so i've got a bit side tracked, i ususally go for the week to week thing i find this easier to keep track of my weight, i've got about 1 stone to lose but i'm struggling.

I lost 1 1/2 lbs this week and, guess what....

I am finally under 12 stone :teeth:  :cool1:

Well done to everyone else who has lost this week and to those who haven't don't give up. I have started exercising this week and I'm sure that's what did it for me.

Looking forward to the weekly weigh-ins :)

well done on all the weight losses girls :thumbsup2
I am starting afresh and will be weighing in next week.
One thing that i heard today which i thought was thought inspiring was " i am happy with myself but not the body i'm in"
and another one was "what was the final straw that made you decide to start losing weight?" and go back to that time and think how you felt then and how far you have come now
