I don't know, but I suspect there might be a change of time or even cancellation of musical chairs on the next 5 Fridays. Soundsational will run at 3PM and 5:50 PM. Musical chairs is always scheduled for 2:30 PM, but actually starts a few minutes later. It isn't over until 3 or later (and sometimes photos and autographs afterwards), and it doesn't seem practical to have Alice and Mad Hatter crossing Main Street when the parade is going on. Maybe they could finish earlier so they can get backstage before the parade gets to Main Street, but even then, the people lining the street to watch the parade would make that problematic.

I would be very surprised if they did musical chairs during this time unless the parade starts it route on the IASW side. Doesn't it take 40-minutes to cross the whole park? In that case, musical chairs could be a fun thing for them to do while people wait. OR, it could just cause chaos from crowds while people wait for the parade, then loose their viewing spots to the game, etc.

But Disney seems to be pretty adamant that the musical chairs is supposed to be a special surprise that people run into. It isn't intended to be "scheduled" or predictable. When we went, we asked a man that looked like a manager if we were in the right spot. He initially seemed upset that I knew about it at all saying that it wasn't an advertised or scheduled event. Then he seemed to lighten up, giving us a nice smile and saying we were in the right spot.

We thought it was kind of fun, but I'm not sure it was worth planning our afternoon around, including holding a table for 30-minutes, like we did. It really is one of those special things that is better when you happen upon it. Still, we can say we did it.

Robert (the pianist) showed up at 2:00 on Friday, but there was no musical chairs game. Alice was missing entirely. The pianist seems to be scheduled at 2:00 rather than 2:30 for all of October. Since musical chairs is never publicized, there's no way to determine what is happening with the game this month.
