3oth August 2007 wonder anyone going?

Summer - Wow, I just read "some" of your wedding journal! First and last two pages - wow it was long!! I wanted to tell you that your dress is AMAZING! And, I definitely pick your natural brown eyes :) !! How exciting for you! We had dinner at Alberts one year, although I was pregnant, so no wine pairings, but it was fabulolus. I loved the coffee at the end - they made it at your table, kinda cool.

I'm so excited about my wedding and honeymoon and thanks for looking at my wedding planning journal, I just love writing things like that, it certainly gets me in the holiday spirit. I am an obsessive planner as you probably gathered from my planning journal;) I have so much organised and so many surprises in store, I get so excited just thinking about it:banana:
I can't wait for Palo, I thought 8.30 was a great time to book, I've heard that there food is divine:cloud9:

Luv2Travel - I will be writing a Trip Report and Dining report and of course a Cruise Report when I return home, I will link my wedding pics too and of course a sneak peak of our video. We are getting the Magic Kingdom Bridal Shoot at 05.00am the day after the wedding :woohoo: pictures in front of MK castle in my wedding dress:love:

Does anyone else think this time is just flying by, or is it just me? On one hand I'm really happy that this trip is coming up soon, but I still have some weight I'd like to lose so I'm kinda panicing a bit, guess it's time to step up the exercise!!!

I'm also a planner. For our trips, I do binders with extra pockets for trip mementos. Each binder has an itinerary, reservation printouts, information on destinations, and any other planning info we need. If we're driving, I print out turn by turn directions and maps. If we're flying, I see if I can get airport maps from the web so we know where to park and which gate to go to.

Our last cruise, I put in all of our Navigators as well. Once I make a CD of the pictures that goes in, too. It's kind of like lazy scrapbooking.

How does everyone else do it? And how do we all count down? I send TWGH countdown emails each day with destination weather and a picture. For this trip, I've been doing a day by day sort of thing, starting with the drive down. Then, when we had 60 working days to go, I started doing 6 days of pictures for each day of our vacation. I'm currently on our first Sunday.

cornish pixie - We are putting our girls in the club while we dine! Although if we have AP for dinner we will probably just skip Palos, or try to reschedule. What are the ages of your girls?? We will have our four with us!

It is so cool to see someone else's ticker with the same amount of time ticking!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Christine :goodvibes
Our girls are 10 and 11 and can't wait for their up and coming trip.
They are still at school until the 3rd week of July so we have to all look at our past trips and catch up on the internet everynight to get our Dis fix.
Caitlin I don't think you will be dissapointed with the PP Party.
We have looked into it and all the feedback is positive.
I believe even though the starting time is 7.pm you can actually get in at 4. pm which gives you some extra hours and makes it really good value.
Oue girls can't wait to get their booty bags and collect beads and chocolate coins etc.
They also are looking forward to getting their hair done at the BBB. before we get there.
Anyway we have received our tickets for the PP night and they are so pretty, they will definately be saved and put into our Holiday album.
Speak with you all soon,
Take Care

Good Morning Ladies:goodvibes

Okay I have another question regarding documentation, specifically addressed to cornishpixie as I know you are from the UK. I was reading my cruise pack yesterday and it mentioned requiring an I-94 card and the visa waiver form. Now I know I get a visa waiver stamped in the passport when I arrive in the US but it's been a while since I was in the US and I can't remember about the I-94 card, is this the form we fill in on the plane? I'm starting to panic thinking I've forgotten to do something:confused:
Also specifically to cornishpixie and Mortlives, I read in the documentation that we are all required to be at US Customs and Border Protection upon arrival at Port Canaveral at 06.00am with a white passport form and customs declaration form:eek: Can someone confirm when we need to do this and what exactly they are talking about??? Do they mean before we board the ship? We are getting picked up from AKL and I have no idea what time they are picking us up, AAAHHH, can someone explain this all to me? I thought we boarded the ship between 1pm and 3pm and set sail at 5pm?
I'm really beginning to worry now:sad2:

Hi, Summer.

I think what you're reading about is debarkation day, not embarkation. All us non-US citizens have to go to a special customs clearance where we get our passports back and speak with immigration. Your room steward gives you the forms the night before, and there's coffee available. Hey, if we don't meet before, maybe we'll run into each other in the lineup.

Embarkation is a lot easier, and they don't want you at Port Canaveral any earlier than 10:00 Thursday morning.

Ah, okay that makes sense, I was starting to get really worried then. Now to figure out this I-94 form...

Oh BTW, are you scheduling any excursions? I really like the idea of the Adastra Gardens and City Tour plus the Blue Lagoon Beach Day but I can't find much info about them. Am thinking about the bike rentals on Castaway Cay also. I just don't know whether I should leave the boat in Nassau, there seems to be loads to do there, what do you think?

/
We're not booking any excursions this time. We will probably wander off the boat in Nassau to have a look around. I have a walking tour from one of the books, we might try a bit of that, but I think we want to do a relaxed sort of cruise this time. We have snorkeling equipment, so we're good for Castaway Cay. It's a short cruise, so it might not be a bad idea to maximize time on the ship.

That said, if there's something you want to see, you should probably go for it. You have to ask yourself when you're going to be back, as well.

You see that's what I was thinking too, if I go on a tour or something we'd pretty much be gone for the whole day, and the ship looks so beautiful and there seems to be so much to explore. I really want our trip to be relaxed as we will have spent 14 days following my military operation (trust me) it's pretty hectic!!! This is why I'm thinking of maybe booking a couples massage or something.

There's a "Romantic Escape" package you can get which might be good. I think it has a couples massage, romantic turndown, and a few other things which you might be interested in. You might already know about it, but it could be just the thing for a honeymooning couple.

Well I've just booked The Exotic Rasul for us from 06.30pm to 07.20pm on the first night, I figure this will be a good time as it gives us 70 minutes to get ready to go to Palo, I really didn't want to book it during the Nassau or Castaway Cay day as I haven't figured out what we are doing yet on these days.
I saw The Romantic Escape Package but I don't think it includes the couples massage anymore, or I would have totally went with that. I do quite like the basket with the robes though.

I think the ship may be crowded while we're in Nassau... it looks like many of us our planning to "get off the boat, walk around Nassau for a while, then go back to the ship".

We debated booking an excursion on Nassau, but as of now we are planning to just get off the ship and take our boys to the Pirates museum, then head back to the ship to take advantage of the various onboard activities.

We've been to Nassau before, and there are some nice beaches and good snorkeling spots, but I think we'll wait for those until we're on a longer cruise. 3 days seemed longer when I first booked this trip. :confused3

Yeah I know what you mean about 3 days seemed longer at the time...I now wished I had booked a 4 day at least!

Well I've changed my Exotic Rasul time to 3.30pm on our 2nd day (Nassau) I think we have decided not to venture far on Nassau day, maybe just experience the ship, plus many of the excursions seem pretty expensive.
We are now thinking of going to The Pirate and Princess Party, prob on the 18th or 21st so thats more expense right there!

Hi everyone how are you all today?
Still planning I hope:goodvibes
Well we will be joining all of you onboard in Nassau.
Due to being on such a short cruise we really like to soak up what the ship has to offer and obviously go ashore at castaway cay
We generally just chill do a bit of snorkling , do a bit of sunbathing, do a bit of eating and drinking having a wonder around and starting all over again.
I know it sounds very lazy but it's what we plan on doing.:upsidedow
Hopefully one day we will be able to go on a longer Disney cruise and then perhaps we will do some trips and stuff (good excuse to come back)but seeing this will be at the end of our holiday before we jump on that 10 hour flight home we will be totally at the mercy of the Wonder and all the magic it has to offer.

Hello, I just found this thread!!! I haven't been over here since I first booked our cruise. This will be our first cruise. We are doing the 3 day on Aug. 30th too...me (turning 39 on Sept. 2nd), DH 38, DS 10, DD 8. I am a kindergarten teacher and we go back to school on Sept 5th. I am glad I found this thread as I am new to cruising and feel so lost as to what to do:confused3

Welcome Aboard! Some of us have been before, so if you have questions, just ask.:sail:

Good Morning All! :wave2:
Guess where we'll be 9 weeks from today?! :dance3:
I'm ready to go NOW!!
Sounds like there we'll be several of us by the pool on the Nassau day. :goodvibes Who will be by the adult pool? Who might I see at Serenity Bay on CC day?

The answer to that is ME. We are definately hanging out at the pool and exploring the ship on Nassau day and we are definately going to Serenity Bay at Castaway Cay. I so can't wait. I've decided I'm dressing up for Pirate night, mainly because my DF and I are going to The P&P Party on the 21st of Aug too, so I decided to buy a costume:banana:
