3M Command strips on walls

I'd like to hang a felt tree on the wall in our villa. Will 3M command strips work and will they do damage to the walls. Anyone ever use them?

Personally, I would not take the chance of using these in a hotel room. We use them at home and when they say, "pull straight down" they mean it.

My angle was off with one and it did serious damage to my wall. User error, I suppose.....

We have never had any trouble with them in our home, but I agree with the PP that I probably would not take a chance. You don't want to be stuck with a damage charge just to have a decoration on the wall.

We keep suction cup hooks in our OL to use in the villa bathroom for hanging washcloths and wet swimwear. You can find them at most hardware stores (especially this time of year). We plan on putting one on a smooth surface to hold our son's stocking. We will probably put it on the sliding glass door or mirror in the room. We'll figure it out when we get there (in 9 days!).

OMG, I can't believe I never thought of that. What a great idea! Our problem is that there's never enough space on the rods to hang all the towels. I can't believe I never thought about suction cups.

Guess what's going in our locker next time we visit!

They work great at BWV, BLT and Kidani! IIRC, they didn't work at AKV-Jambo, due to the irregular surface of the tile in the bathrooms (and lack of a shower stall). We haven't had a chance to use them at the other resorts, but if the shower has glass walls, they would definitely work!

I keep those and the night-lights in ziplocks which are labeled with the item. I keep the ziplock in the box while they are in use. That way, I don't forget to re-pack them at the end of the stay. We lost some night-lights on one of our trips because we forgot to put them back in the locker.
