$3k for the on-board wedding, is it worth it?

In my other post, I mentioned how we have now had to change plans and not be on the island for the ceremony... we are now on the ship...

On the island the $3.5k was high, but I can justify it... Unique experience, island destination wedding... transportation to get us all to the island... so on.

But the on-board wedding, is just about as much...
For those of you that have had a wedding on-board... was it worth it?

Ours is a vow renewal... we have about 45-50 guests coming on the ship to celebrate with us.

When we were planning the island part, we can see taking up some of the limited cruise time for our guests... as they woudl be on the island... enjoying the sun/weather and the experience....

I'd post your question in the cruise wedding thread.

I believe it is more of a personal preference...I knew I wanted to the beach wedding and went with Castaway BUT if you don't mind and like the ambiance of the Outlook (that is where they are being held on the Dream) then I would say it is a perfect location. A bride was just married with that many guests and she said that they did not feel cramped at all in the Outlook!

I'd post your question in the cruise wedding thread.

I'm new to DIS (my mom's the veteran) and for the LIFE of me, I cannot FIND this supposed Cruise Wedding Thread that people keep talking about! Can somebody post the link so I can read all of the posts that are relevant to me? Thanks a million! :thanks:
